A friend of mine used to have one of these with a tuned up motor and a flamejob. I never knew these could be fast until he showed me otherwise. It sounded great too. Respect.

Fiat 500 F '65 - FITT Old vs. New Hatchback Challenge

I'm a glutton for punishment. I recently tuned a few old VW's and was like "oh, well this will be more of the same....."

There is a word in Spanish - Carcajada - which translates roughly as "barely contained juvenile laughter." They are usually heard emanating from the back of classrooms everywhere.

I can hear all of your Carcajadas right now.

I know this one is going to be pretty slow, but weird little cars like this one are right up my alley. I just love them.

is the interior on this car detailed?

The best part is that I still don't have it back. I'm seriously considering changing my avatar to the picture of it getting towed.

Bravo for getting through Dune:Messiah. I usually just watch the SciFi Channel version when I get to that one.
did you say you had an inline 6 in it??? or were you talkin about the bmw?

Talking about the BMW.

sweet, thanks bro! have you added guages to any of your cars? oh, and has the handling of it been affected by the update?

I haven't added gauges because I use the bumper cam view. This car was tuned after 1.09, so it should be current. AFAIK the physics haven't changed since then.

It's a '12 GT with the Coyote motor. I originally was just going to lower it, one thing led to another though and now it has quite a few modifications. It's to the point now where I had to buy another car to daily drive.:D

I'm going crazy to find a good tune for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR Touring Car: your tunes are pure masterpieces, are you going to do a tune for this Mitsubishi?

I haven't done many of the race cars, so no promises, but I'll give it a go.

So you're not going to beat the fastest Elises, ASL's and Gixxers, but you are guaranteed to give the rest a hard time and usually finish near the top. Also (and this is critical) you will look a whole lot cooler than they do.

Natural enemy is the Schwimmwagen '42.

Ahh...So, THIS is the car that whooped me around Nurburgring today. :sly: 👍 I just bought myself one and tuned her up with your setup and took her around Mid-Field Raceway. This car has fantastic grip on CS tires! I was able to keep my foot to the floor around turns without a hint of sliding or losing traction. For 350PP, this car has some giddy-up and go...I like it! Well done... 👍 I'm off to buy myself the $10,000,000 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 now. :D

Lol thanks! I didn't want to say anything for fear of looking like a massive tool ("hey, I'm on GTP too....")

I do have to say that I was wrong about a number of things, and the little Alfa is the first car I've done with the new approach, so I wouldn't expect too much from TZ2 ATM.

Trust me, your tunes are going to be 1,000 times better than anything I could come up with on my own. I am so bad at tuning. So. Bad. :boggled: :irked: :yuck:

Another typically radical car from Honda. This car had an air-cooled engine that revved to 8,000 rpm, and made nearly 100hp/liter...in 1970! For you audiophiles out there, this motor has a very interesting harmonic quality to it.

I grew up loving Hondas, and am deeply saddened by their current complacency. Where have all the crazy cars like this gone!? Where are my Type-R's and NSX's and S2000's that rev into the stratosphere!?

The ghost of Soichiro is crying.

Wake up, Honda!

I'm loving your tunes for these unusual classics from Japan! I've tried this and the City Turbo II. So far and both are great. The 1600 Coupe is a lot of fun and has surprising power. I used it for my first ever online race and it really surprised my opponent.
The City Turbo II is a surgeons knife at 500pp and some rear distributed ballast makes it very good at 450pp. For my driving style, 175kg@36% is what I settled on but I'm sure it could be more responsive if I adjusted the suspension for the added weight. Do you have any tuning suggestions for the extra ballast at 450pp?

Thanks for giving the oddballs some care and attention. Great job! 👍

Thanks!

It sounds like you may have already done this, but one thing I do when I add ballast is play around with the position. Move it forward or back, one click at a time and try it out. Also, you might try making the springs a bit stiffer to compensate for the added weight; just remember to maintain the same proportion front to back.

Hope this helps!

I have a soft spot for this car. I test drove one some time in '07 and I remember being pretty impressed by the 2.0T's torque. I also still have (!) the DVD brochure that they gave me, where they hilariously referred to the passenger side "Oh, ****! handle." I test drove a MKVI more recently, and was distinctly unimpressed with the power. I had just test driven the Mustang, though. It was probably a mistake to do them in that order.

Also, this:

You do great stuff with FWD cars! I don't understand why there are so many duckfooted, negative front toe'd Golf tunes. It would be nice if these all handled like the Scirocco or AWD R's but I'm not sure that negative toe is always the best solution. I find that it makes corner exit very difficult. Maybe I have a poor FWD driving style?

As I'm going through more tunes in the game, I'm seeing that you usually offer a fresh approach to tuning. Nice work. 👍

I might have been wrong about the front toe. It really only works with SS tires or better because of their already excellent grip. I've been playing with negative front toe on some newer tunes and it seems to be the way to go.

I see. Just to be clear; I prefer your positive toe on this car and have had issues with negative toe on other tunes. I drove it with CS tires actually. So you believe that negative toe works better now or only with certain tires?

In general, I now believe it to be the optimal solution. Cars definitely turn in better with it. It is critical to couple it with a higher positive rear toe setting to maintain stability. I have had some issues with corner exits in FWD, but I'm pretty sure I just need to get the settings right to nail this down.

Hmm. It was only a couple of the premium FWD Golfs that I had problems with. Maybe it is an issue inherent to them and perhaps I do need to use the softer tires.
Anyhow. I'll keep this in mind and give them another shot eventually. They felt damaged in general with the negative front toe. I could get it to rotate nicely on corner exit with positive front toe and some careful throttle work. It may be a better idea to focus rotating the vehicle more at corner entry.

I have included transmission settings for the car with and without turbo. Normally I would be all for adding the big turbo, but in this case I really feel like it spoils the character of the engine a bit.

I did 1:43.2 with this at the Brand Hatch Seasonal with Praiano's 450pp power and gearing setup. I'm not an outstanding driver or anything but this blows away any other European FWD I've taken around there.

I tried 3 other popular tunes, all were great but this was the best. It gained 1 second! Again, positive front toe seemed to make a big difference. I brake late and believe it allows me to carry more speed through the corner. This was on Comfort Soft tires. Don't change what your doing! 👍
