Thank you! Also, what do you recommend changing for driving on less grippy tires, eg sport hard instead of sport soft?
EDIT: Also if you set the transmission before you remove parts, it keeps the same ratios. Is this good or bad?

It will only change the transmission if the max rpm is lowered by removing parts. Pay attention to the transmission chart. Not sure what to change for SH other than reducing power, which you seem to be doing already.

Edit: it might help to look at which parts reduce torque, rather than horsepower, this will help with wheelspin on SH tires.

Thanks! I'll be back soon, just been playing with my new pc graphics card.

May I recommend the NA '67 S54B Skyline; I was in love with that car before I started fiddling with the PC.

I might give it a try tomorrow, now i'm tuning Toyota Sports 800 for drifting.
It's nice little car and easy to handle :)
SLS AMG tune would be nice too ;)
What kind of card you bought?

It's a sapphire Radeon R9 290 4gb. It absolutely dwarfs my old 6870, which was already a big card- I had to cut a little piece of plastic off so that it would fit.

Requests are piling up! I'll get around to that SLS when I start playing again.

    Thanks again!

So the Mustang is broken again. Can't get it to go in gear when I crank it up. I had it flatbedded to my mechanic this morning-hopefully it's just something hydraulic and not anything major. Anyway, I had the good fortune of being able to borrow this exact car. What is most impressive is how the inline-6 pulls smoothly and relentlessly; even at significant speed. You can tell that this motor is the beneficiary of several generations of development. It's almost like the Kwisatz Haderach of motors; carefully bred over a thousand generations by the Bene Gesserit sisterhood of Wallach IX; with the goal of producing a car that can go where they cannot.

    D'oh!:

The car is terrific to drive in the game. It will pretty much do whatever you want.

This car is kind of like that serious looking German exchange student in every American Highschool who falls in with the stoners and turns into a huge party animal. Upon his arrival he is immediately placed on the Varsity Soccer team; because, you know, he's German; of course he's going to be amazing.

That he single handedly manages to hand the team most of its victories does little to disprove this assumption.

The best part is that I still don't have it back. I'm seriously considering changing my avatar to the picture of it getting towed.

Bravo for getting through Dune:Messiah. I usually just watch the SciFi Channel version when I get to that one.

Ah, that tune hasn't been updated for the new physics post 1.09. There's a lot more wrong with it than just the transmission. I pretty much need to redo the whole thing from scratch.

Lol thanks! I'll try it out. I've been neglecting the MR's because I feel like there is something that I am doing fundamentally wrong with them, and I still haven't figured out what it is. Time to get to work!

So, I have tried a lot of other peoples tunes and all needed some touching up. Yours, on the other hand, spot on. I am working my way through all of the tunes that you have done. Love that you are doing the cars that others seem to ignore, especially the older stuff. Keep them coming. My garage is eagerly awaiting more.

Can I request the Mitsubishi Galant VR4?

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I'm also glad that someone else likes the random "sleepers;" to me they are my favorite part of GT and one of the big things that other racing games lack.

I can definitely tune the VR-4, but give me some time. I am currently on hiatus until the transmission bug gets fixed. I have 10 or 11 new tunes and updates ready to go but I can't really do anything until this gets sorted out.

    Thanks again!

Well, I'm glad they finally fixed that stupid transmission issue, both with 1.17 and with my car IRL.

So it totally took them two months to get my car sorted out..........:mad::mad::mad:

It turned out to be a faulty clutch diaphragm, which took a couple weeks turnaround time for Spec to repair. Shipping delays, weather, blah blah, whatever.....

When I got the car back, all of a sudden it had developed a random misfire on 3 cylinders....:censored:. Every hour of every day, the (very expensive) words "blown motor" and "bent valve" intruded on every thought. I kept running through scenarios in my mind, trying to find something I had done, or some way to blame myself for what had happened.

This took more than a month to track down; and turned out to be something incredibly stupid that one of the mechanics who touched the car screwed up. I'm still not sure they told me the truth about this last bit. The only positive from the whole experience was that I didn't have to pay for any of it.

Anyway, I needed another car. Cheap, reliable, economical, no frills transportation to get to and from work while the Mustang was being fixed. You know: a daily driver.

    So I bought this: IMAG0043.jpg

The original plan was to yank out the blown up D-series lump, purchase a JDM B16B and make the CRX from hell. Time (and also money) apparently were not on my side (also removing spraypaint by hand is for the birds) so I sold the CRX and bought another car:

    IMAG0037.jpg

    IMAG0038.jpg

I know, I know; less cool than the CRX would have been, and much less cool than a JDM CTR, but what can you do.

The guy that owned it before me spent a bunch of money on nice parts; not one of which is installed correctly.:scared:

    (lol Hondas)

My friend who drove the car home, which was a considerable distance, called it a "deathtrap," and described a number of alarming noises coming from the front of the car. Upon inspection the next day, we found that aside from the engine (bulletproof and in amazing shape) clutch and tires, which were new, pretty much everything else needed to be replaced. To be honest I was sort of expecting that after seeing some of the "workmanship" on the car; and it was cheap for a real Si.

Oh yeah, it had the wrong ECU in it too.

    IMAG0041.jpg
Can you believe that this motor has 133,000mi (214,000km!) on it!!??

We're still waiting on some parts to come in to get the Civic back on the road, but in the meantime, the Mustang is fixed and makes a wonderful daily driver.....

The way that the motor revs out in this turbo mini truck is very satisfying. Completely silly and tremendously entertaining.

This is another car that has me absolutely hooked. 72hp is not very much, but the VW flat-4 has ample torque (112ft-lb,) and IMO the handling is pretty unique (not in a bad way.) Go on, give it a try, it will make you smile!
