As Interior view will not be in all cars, would you like to have a bonnet view?

Would you like to see a proper hood cam, just in front of the windscreen?

Kaz is blatantly 'extracting the urine' for want of a better word.

A cockpit view the same as the PSP, on a PS3...seriously!?!

It must be a marketing ploy to leave the fans thinking all we'll get is a PSP cockpit, only to release the game with all cars with proper cockpits and a whole load of fans now dragging their jaws off the floor... I hope!!!

Only when the game's released or he actually spills the beans will we find out.

My question is this, and it may be a rather stupid question.

I saw the Japanese version and other versions in English (Australian, US, Canada). Why is that detail only on the Japanese version of the site and not in the English versions?

Might be a bit of optimism, but either way that sounds like something they'd put in all of those news briefs, not just the one in Japanese.

This is stupid but I gonna post it anyway.:lol:

SRSLY WTF...

Even I am pretty shocked by that... and I haven't been expecting as much as many on here...

So bumping the poly count on the cars up and maybe getting some better textures is what accounts for the work related to 80% of the vehicles in this game?

It would have been better to release GT5 as a game with the 200 Premium cars and release a "Bonus history of GT in HD" disc along side it for the premium cars...

What is the point of teasing us with about 70 cars all (except 1 - Nissan GTR Black Mask) with interiors in GT5 Prologue and then saying 80% of cars won't have them in full game?

I am very disappointed with the 800-cars-without-interior thing. I belive it is fault of all those moaners moaning about lack of damage in GT series. I don't care about damage, I want interiors in all 1000 cars! :grumpy:

Awww... Kaz is responsible for developing the game, so it is his fault, plain and simple. If you want to go blaming other people, maybe you should blame their parents for having kids, then their parents etc. until you get back to the beginning of life itself.

Personally, I think it's highly amusing that 80% of the game is populated with 'tard cars! At least they will all have bonnet cam - best view anyway.

I don't know about you, but I can't imagine going back to bumper cam after spending hundreds of hours playing GT5P only with interior view.

So it seems like we will see 'only' another 130 cars with interiors (70 from GT5P + another 130). Don't get me wrong 200 very detailed cars with interiors is good enough for almost any game, but this is Gran Turismo we are talking about here. I don't understand this segragation - we will give you 200 amazing cars and 800 GT4 upscaled cars and we can't be bothered modelling even the basic cockpit for them :grumpy:

I at least hope they put a rear view mirror in for the bonnet cam, as the Le Mans demo didn't have one.

I only spent a few hours playing GT5 (spent more on the GTHD demo), almost exclusively using bumper cam view, and only because there was no hood cam view. It's funny how we all knew about this premium and 'tard car separation before, but now we know the details it does not sound good at all. They should make them all the same, and if that means meeting half-way in terms of detail, so be it. Lack of cockpit view is a non-issue for me because I hate it!

not bonnet, not blackframe... just do generic cockpits with the car manufacturer's logo on the wheel!! That will be really better.

ID rather have it done right or not done at all.

+ Its not Pd's style to half ass, they either do it or dont.

In this case they didnt.

I believe a view like the one in the link should be used. It would definitely make standard cars bearable. Otherwise alternating between cockpit view and bumper view is awkward.

It even has the view to the side a bit instead of flat in the middle, which pretty much recreates the interior view without the wheel/dashboard, which if you are using a wheel, is not necessary

Here is some video of the hood cam on NFS Pro Street. If they could do something like this with all standard cars than there lack of cockpits would be less of a hassle.

This is also different as the hood cam is to the side instead of centered, putting you closer to the actual driver's seat. I view like this is what I would use with my new Driving Force GT.

I agree 100%. Generic interiors would be a terrible idea. A Dodge Viper should not have the same interior as a Fiat Panda. If generic or black interiors are what the final result will be then GT will be the laughing stock of the next-generation simulation racing genre.

Full interior or a hood cam is the only option aside from the usual chase/bumper cam.

This whole Standard vs. Premium debacle is, in my opinion, a very strong indication that there has been poor resource management with regards to the development of this game. I don't know if KY is ultimately responsible or maybe it's someone higher than him, but it is clear that the end result of two different levels of quality in a single game is a serious flaw in this otherwise amazing game.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I don't think I can make new threads. In any case, it's been proven that Kaz looks at GTPlanet for feedback and suggestions, I think we have to make one last ditch at convincing him to incorporate a hood/bonnet view, NOT a roof cam, before it is too late. Roof cam is the second worst view to drive with (a wheel), besides chase cam. Better yet, can someone tweet him to tell him that we NEED a bonnet/hood view for the "Standard" cars? I really do not want to be stuck with a bumper cam. It feels disconnected (after playing with interior views).

Anyone agree with me?
