Support for 21:9 monitor on PS4, this is impressive 👍
I double checked the UI but it is the console one (unless the PC version 1.7 patch allows you to select the console UI as an option?)

where does USA get the prestige pack from? i went to their site an filtered and nothing shows up! i dont want to pay extra down the line for content that i should be able to get on my pre order.

I think it's beyond lame that there are any different versions of the sim at all. Just give ALL console players every single car that is released so far. After all, they can't mod. I, along with the other PC players, have had to pay extra for these Dream Packs, but I don't care -- I want console users to get that content for free. The success of Assetto Corsa on console helps me, as a PC user, tremendously. More revenue = longer life/more updates.

I think it's almost a marketing requirement to have various editions of your game these days, although the fact that you can't get both editions via PSN digital download is rather annoying. Still, they have a few months to sort this out.

The problem with these pre-order bonuses is that some of those cars were included in the PC version as free updates, it makes no sense to make them pre-order exclusives/paid DLC in the console versions. Kunos should include all those cars in the base game. Afaik there will be day-1 DLC (Japanese pack), and the 2 Porsche DLC packs will be released later on, I see no need for pre-order exclusive content.

FS7
I see no need for pre-order exclusive content.

It has nothing to do with "need", and everything to do with marketing. Some people like to sit on the sidelines and wait for the game to come out and get reviewed before they decide if they're going to purchase it, some will end up buying it, some won't. By adding this "incentive" it will get some of those people to go ahead and buy it because they feel like they're getting "free" stuff. If this gets even a small percentage of people to buy that would not have bought otherwise, it makes the dev/publisher happy. Yes, it's an obviously silly and unnecessary thing to do, but people have proven that they're silly enough to go for it so I don't see this practice going away soon. The ironic thing is that there's probably a group of people who would have complained if Kunos hadn't offered a pre-order special.

Funny reading all the comments on the marketing strategy of 505, if their was no pre-order offer, some would be upset, if the pre order is one way, some other are upset.
Even more funny some need to voice their opinion, like I am not buying, as if anyone cares what they will do or not.
505 are not at their first gig launching a game, they do what works, beside what all the marketing "experts" in this thread, site, or the whole internet can think.
Bottom line, console gamers are given a fantastic opportunity to taste the best racing simulator available to us today, soon enough they will find out, it is not about how many cars, how many tracks, what the *****g UI looks like, are the god rays good or can I have a grid of zillion cars ( just because I like it), it is about the driving silly!
I am just grinding ear to ear, thinking about the grind the lucky console player will have on their face, like we all did, when they start driving in AC.

Well, the pre-order deal is a marketing ploy, pure and simple. It's a way to get people to buy the product before they've even seen or sampled the product. Whether that's good or bad is up to the individual, I pass no judgement on it other than saying it's silly (because it's so obvious), but it clearly works. If I were a console user I would pre-order just to avoid having to pay for the cars through DLC later, doesn't mean I approve or endorse the tactic.

And yes, my degree and career are related to marketing, so I know slightly more about it than the average keyboard warrior. No expert by any means, but informed enough to know a basic marketing ploy when I see one.

Same here, degree in Marketing and career in capital equipment sales. But still no expert, lol, particularely in marketing of games to console users, I leave that to those professionally making a leaving out of it.
Just tired that all that seems to matter to some is how many cars they are getting at what discount, when the SIM value they are getting is way over the roof.
SIM racing/driving is as cheap as it can get as far as hobby are going, but apparently for some still not cheap enough, maybe if someone is so much worried about a few $, they should play a little less and work a little more.

it is the driving i am looking forward to, not the number of cars. however, if driving is such a premium, it is crap not to have all available cars, as one of those you could be missing out on may be one you would love to drive or end up enjoying the most.

as to number of cars, i do have to laugh when i think of the pcars days when people complained but whenever you go online it is as follows : gt3, gt3, gt3, gt3, gt3, gt3, gt3, gt3, etc.

I think the pre-order cars are too significant and many to remain forever exclusive. Kunos would certainly not like to hold back some of their finest assets among so relatively few at this point. It's my impression that the developers care as much as the fans do, so I'm pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

👍👍👍

I'm fine with it if they do release them as DLC shortly after. 👍

I suspect AC will be the same online on the PS4...

the kunos official servers generally rotate all sorts of race types, afterthat its up to the players to decide what they want in their own lobbies.

Personally i think a randomised lobby would be best, maybe with a skip button in case people completely hate the car or fiat 500 + nords appears. Id like to be thrown out of my comfort zone. As you said it would be a shame to miss out on some of the content

Its a bit funny though, the most popular assetto corsa server has GT2 cars, there are only two GT2 cars in AC, AC has the most GT3 cars of any game out so far yet its not the most popular

9 cars is a significant percentage over the total number of cars in this came, so it is natural that people are talking about it.

Especially since they are not any cars and also because pre-ordering games is not everyone's cup of tea (for various reasons).

Even more funny some need to voice their opinion
In an internet message board, can you believe it?

Oh, and the irony.

It's the same with AC, a lot of servers are GT2/GT3 at Spa or Nords

AC has the most GT3 cars of any game out so far yet its not the most popular

AC has a lot, but I believe R3E has more.

yes 1 more in R3E if you count the fictional RUF or two more if you discount SPX

I count 13 in the GTR3 class. I forget how many AC has now, 8 or 9? Due to the weird way AC handles allowed cars in multiplayer I feel like what we have now is enough, on a track with 24 grid slots you can only allow 3 of each car, so if 3 people already picked your favorite car you're out of luck. In R3E you just pick the class and people can pick whatever cars they want without restrictions.

It's fun to compare AC, pCARS and R3E car lists... Counting DLC content (on PC) as well as base content:

GT2:
BMW M3 - AC/pCARS/R3E
Aston V8 Vantage - pCARS
Ferrari 458 GT2 - AC
RUF fake GT2 - R3E
Corvette C7R - AC/pCARS
Corvette C6R - R3E
P4/5 Competizione - AC (BoP for GT2)
Cadillac CTS-V.R - R3E (BoP for GT2)

[AC=4, R3E=4, pCARS=3]

GT3:
Audi R8 - AC/pCARS/R3E
BMW Z4 - AC/pCARS/R3E
BMW Alpina B6 - R3E
Mercedes SLS - AC/pCARS/R3E
Mercedes AMG - AC/pCARS
RUF RGT-8 (fake) GT3 - pCARS/R3E
Bentley - pCARS/R3E
Aston V12 Vantage - pCARS
Ginetta - pCARS
McLaren 12C - pCARS/AC/R3E
McLaren 650S - AC
Nissan GT-R - AC/R3E
Huracan - AC
Corvette Z06 - R3E
Mustang - R3E
Camaro - R3E
Ford GT - R3E
P4/5 Competizione - R3E (BoP for GT3 not GT2)
Glickenhaus SCG003 - AC
Cadillac CTS-V.R - pCARS (BoP for GT3)

[AC=9, pCARS=10, R3E=13]

Note:
AC allows GT2/GT3 to race separately or together (slightly different BoP though)
pCARS forces GT2/GT3 together
R3E doesn't allow you to race GT2/GT3 together

damn my counting skills are bad.

@skazz thank you for your post, very interesting and enlightening compilation,
Of course, if on PC, AC offers a lot more with some of the modded GT3 we can also elect to drive against any other cars we feel like.
The Bentley is a good one.

We ( on the PC side AKA the dark side :sly:) drove in AC for years without those cars and we had the time of our life, so no it is not crap, plus they are available, just pre-order, or wait a little bit for the next DLC. In any case, once you will have start enjoy AC you to will see how not important the all situation was.
for what it is worth, this is what I would do, wait, don't pre-order, it has been delayed 3 times already, plus there is plenty to have fun with without those cars for a while for when it will finally be available, if you still enjoy AC when those cars will be available order the DLC then.

i am certainly pre ordering it for the cars.. WHEN it is close to release and i know it wont be pushed back again. the issue is, where in the usa is the prestige pack. i dont want to pay extra for something i should have had in the first place butdidnt because it wasnt sold here.
