So, you've been playing with the Assetto Corsa developers' groups? Kidding, of course, but, I would hope that it's A.I.

Everyone says that PC gaming is better online than GT5... But that was a GT5 online dirty move.

It can really happen in any race, even iracing. Typically though, people are much more respectful on PC sims. I mean random people of course, league events in any sim is always going to be best but the randoms in iracing especially or consistently better to race with. Lets hope AC has the same type of community

Wow, Kunos truly is awesome. Taking out the Fiat is greatly appreciated. I'm thinking they'll replace it with a lotus from the sounds of it. It could be the KTM Xbow or any of the lightweight cars. I kind of already know Magione so this will be fun to run. I can't wait.

Oh I would be really surprised if they didn't let us lock the wheel or turn it off. I like driving with it locked in place and no hands personally.

I don't know why console titles are so against this. I remember the guys from Inside Sim Racing went to interview the head of Forza Motorsport and specifically asked him a couple times about why we can't turn off the wheel and he refused to answer, just weird.

tell me about it if your a pad user maybe its use full but if you own a wheel you see two wheels yours and the game wheel, and that don't normally rotate same as you wheel unless you change it in a sim but gt5 do not have that option , bought a cockpit and a wheel for GT5 but that only showed up the flaws in the game, moved to PC Sims haven't looked back can not remember last time i raced on gt 5 online , Been waiting for this ever since first screen shot , has GT5 Graphics Rfactor modability probably most of netkar pro's best bits and none of the worst , it's making me feel this is going to be one big hitting title Pcars may have a chance but due to multiform at ports and assetto dedicated to Pc i put my cash on assetto :sly:

i have never played forza 4 but i would like too pretty strange though as it seems turn 10 like to listen to its users unlike poly

Hmmm - Radiator Springs - that's the town in the Cars movie (having driven the Route 66 route with mates in October it would be remiss of me not to notice  )

Does that mean they'll be including Tow Mater and yummy Sally Carrera in the release :dopey:

Most people like it a lot. Even when the animation is crap like in shift 2

Dat GRass.

rF2 has the Monza10k layout and it is insane with the 60's WCR cars or the Brabham.

That said the screenshot above is showing the chute coming off parabolica and there are no cones shutting off the chute coming out of the south curve.... Is this the 10k layout?

Impressive shots. So it seems a tech demo is coming after all.

Glad its not the fiat abarth, unless I'm mistaken, got tired of seeing that car in NKP to be honest.

How could they laser scan the oval section when it has been disused since 1969? They could get banking information and camber, turn radii and such, but no info on the surface itself.

Exactly, they got all that.

Back then it was most likely just plain good o'l fashioned concrete! Not the many asphalt compounds we have today. And no, that part of the track hasn't changed at all! Yes the concrete has aged and so have the surroundings, but it still all the same as it was back then.

But it has to have changed a lot in the past 40+ years.

It's degraded obviously but physically it's still mostly the same, you can use the laser scanned data to create a correctly dated model, eg replacing the rusted barrier with a pristine, clean one. The imporant part of a laser scan is getting the proportions of everything, textures and how it actually looks you work on in the modelling stage as always.

I m also looking very much forward to it but one thing struck me from the very first pic of the E30: The car proportions seem odd to me on all of the Bimmers. Z4 GT3 is too low and wide, the wheels on the M3 GT2 are too small, 1M and E30 are too narrow and certain parts too big etc.

Funny that, as the other cars seem fine to me.

I just hate checking forums for news and looking at videos or screenshots. I'm tired of it, I just need to drive the tech preview, that's it. I'm just waiting for it to release.

I agree. They need to just get on with it.

Me too. I'd really rather they don't even release screenshots so at least then I could just forget about it until they put out something useful. I hope it's not too far away.

You guys would hate going to wmdportal then (unless you have pCARS, then nevermind). Almost all of the news posts are community screenshots.
