Any advice for editing thread's title? I want to update it but I don't know what I should say.
The interview with Stefano is a must watch.

Enlighting moment when he said about the Cobra being done by a modder and then Kunos jumped in with a license, using modder model and paying him for the work. 👍👍👍

I'm assuming you meant 600 Hz rather than 600 MHz. A physics tick rate of 600 MHz would be rather excessive as it would be over a million times faster than in any other current sim :p
My bad, typing before thinking.

Pretty silent at the moment. There were rumours for an October 15th release for 1.0 so I was expecting RC already last friday. Lets see if we get the RC tomorrow/today.

Besides, those special events frustrate me more and more. There are some that drive me crazy. Especially the Z4 GT 3 race on the Nürburgring GP. Some others were easy but some are really on Alien mode.

I enjoyed the interview with Stephano. Nice to see, how passionate AC is being developed.👍
But one question was left out: what about plans regarding pitstops!? No pitstops, no proper league racing!👎

From FB posting: "Because of all these simulated damages and your always important requests, we work hard to include a feature that we are sure will make everybody excited. Pitstops! We have implemented pitstops with animated cinematic pitcrew. Assetto Corsa v1.0 pitstops implementation will support only multiplayer races, but we're working hard to include single player pitstops in one of our next free updates. The delay on the single player implementation, is caused by the need to define and balance the AI pitstop strategy during races."

So pitstops are coming. 👍

Can't wait when 1.0 comes out tomorrow. It will keep me occupied for the remainder days of waiting for PCars on PS4. Pity that I haven't upgraded my GPU, otherwise I'm sure I'll be enjoying it even more.

As I understand it they will first publish the Release Candidate, and that will be "in the following days" (from FB post on October 10). I think what Stefano talks about in the interview is actually v1.0, which will be in "some" or "a few" weeks. There seems to be speculations about RC coming out tomorrow, but it seems to be just that, speculations. I'll be happy if someone can prove me wrong though. :)

It has been told several times in the web and facebook, they were just waiting the ok from the beta sector of the team. If it was all good, they planned to release 1.0 "next week", which now is this one.

I tried asking at the official forum, but got a stupid reply pointing me towards screen latency, lineairity and othernon-sense :banghead:

Does anyone know how to remove the weight transfer (seat-of-pants) effect from Assetto Corsa, so that I can 'hopefully' feel the slip angle of the front tyres?

So I want to feel this...

I've always thought there are two schools of building a simulator FFB engine:

1. Just simulate the real FFB effects on the steering column.
2. Mix in a bit of "seat of pants" car feel, for those without a full motion simulator

Every sim tends to pick one or the other. Only pCARS and Raceroom seem to allow you to mix in and out the "seat of pants" elements. I've not seen anything in AC which would allow that, certainly not in the UI.

Can someone explain what the term "seat-of-pants" term means?

It simply means (at least from my understanding) the feeling of grip. Some drivers are able to tell with their arse how the car is behaving, the grip level etc.

Its happening! Its happening :D

Just found this link on racedepartment

Rumour has it we will get it in a few hours? But there seems to be confusion about whether or not all the EA guys are getting the RC version of AC, or is it just the BTs...

Well, that is a lot of abbreviations!

Not providing the release candidate to early access would be see exploding fanboys all over the internet :)
But all the other beta test builds have been private with no communication. This RC is being communicated by Kunos openly, so it follows that it's available to all early access owners.
