Out of curiosity has any tried playing AC with oculus Rift? Saw some videos on YouTube and it looks soul devouring.

A T500 with a Noctua fan to replace the original has minimal fade as well. It pushes a lot more air with less noise and using less power (reduces electronics smell).
It really needs that Noctua swap though as the original fan is horrible quality at horrible performance. It is totally worth it though.

The T500 has a lot of cogging when compared to a CSWv2. When I went back to it during CSWv2 beta testing it felt like I was sawing wood with a coarse handsaw. So it masked a lot of detail, but it is still better than a gear driven wheel from my experience.
The reason is that because the slack in between gears you get a bit of delay as well as extra unwanted noise as the gears bounce off of the teeth during rattling road feedback.

The more direct a motor can feed its effects to a wheel the better it is. So the best is a direct drive, than a belt drive and than gear driven.

I notice that sawing sensation on my T300 too, wondered if something was wrong with it. But it's a normal thing?

Surprised this hasn't been posted. I'm so 🤬 excited for this!

oh dear god it looks good, that mclaren P1 is the one im most looking forward to, its got to be close to release now. They where showing one car at a time and now we see all 10, i hope my logic is right.

An awesome bunch of cars, I'll be purchasing these for sure. I think the F1 GTR might be the one I'm looking forward to the most, though there's already an unofficial mod I want to drive Kunos' version.

I hope it sounds good.

Still the greatest car ever made in my opinion, it sounds incredible.

Well, you already see the Nordschleife in the picture, so yes. I don't know about other circuits though.
I already had a sneaking suspicion that wasn't snoopy's mod they were using :dopey:
Hope more tracks are coming.

Yeah, but remember, the Nordschleife will be part of the Dream Pack DLC, so you need to pay to get most of the cars displayed in the pictures and the Nordschleife. :)

Zandvoort will be free content at any point after the Dream Pack and they licenced and scanned Catalunya some weeks ago...

Great news, Zandvoort is one of my favorite tracks.
It will be "coming soon" until the mid-2016 together with the Lamborghinis… lol

All seriousness any new official tracks/content will be great. Just that they are very slow in rolling them out while there's still a lot of fixes/features that AC still needs to do for the core game.

The future is bright for AC.

Great find Lewis, what a lovely bit of auto-journalism too. His face is such a picture as he struggles to take in his experience and find the words worthy to describe it. Wonderful. :)

Part of the beauty of AC is that if it doesn't sound that great, someone like ElMariachi or Fonsecker or one of the sound guys will come along and fix it. Finding good samples for modern cars is a lot easier than for the older cars too.

In order of want:

Alfa Romeo 155 DTM
Mclaren F1 LM
Alfa Romeo GTA
Sauber C9
Mercedes 190E

(The rest I don't really care too much about to be honest)

Here's hoping all of the sounds are perfect.
