Well that was a lot harder then I thought it would be.

Which football club has won more European Cup/Champions League titles than it has won its own national titles?

Nottingham Forest.

Yup.

Won the league in 1978 for the first and only time, getting them into the then-champions-only European Cup (not like the current free-for-all Champions League) which they won in 1979. That entitled them to come back and defend it, which they did in 1980. They were knocked out in the first round of the 1980-81 European Cup by CSKA Sofia...

Heh, I do like old big 'ead so that one wasn't so difficult.

There are six players who have played for the Netherlands national football team who did not play in the Eredivisie (Dutch Premier Division).

Name them.
There is a point for each correct answer here.

A little clue: Two of them have played in the English top flight.

Nope. Robben began his career with Gronigen before moving on to PSV.

Did not play at the time or have never played in the Eredivisie?

First guess. Tim Krul.

That's one.

dhandes - 1

That was the easy one!

Also, OQ is a moron and there are in fact seven.

So... just six more to get!

dhandes - 1 (Tim Krul)

Dirk Kuyt?

Nope, he came to Liverpool via Heerenveen.

Johann Cruyff?

Edit: Sorry, Jordi Cruyff.

Twee.

dhandes - 1 (Tim Krul)
akmuq - 1 (Jordi Cruijff)

Ryan Babel, Michel Vorm?

Nigel De Jong, Rafael Van Der Vaart? Think that's all I know..

All absolutely... wrong.

Twee van zeven.

dhandes - 1 (Tim Krul)
akmuq - 1 (Jordi Cruijff)

One more is quite well known but the other four are pretty tough.

Allefay? Or however you spell it.. The Barca player..

Afellay spent 8 years with PSV from 2003-2011.

Do I get attempt marks.. :dunce:

Could we have leagues where they played?

Premiership
Bundesliga x2
Belgian Pro League x2

random guesses...

Marc Overmars
Dennis Berkamp
Ronald DeBoer
His brother Frank
Philipe Cocu

All played in the Eredivisie. The Premiership one is quite easy, but the Belgian and German ones are pretty hard.

But as it stands, just twee van zeven.

dhandes - 1 (Tim Krul)
akmuq - 1 (Jordi Cruijff)

wesley Snider
patrick klievert
Jaap Stam
Edgar Davids
Clarence Seedorf

Heh, good try but they too have all played in the Netherlands' top division during their careers.

Arjan De Zeuw (Something like that)
I'm sure there was another pretty famous Dutch Wigan player too.

While de Zeeuw didn't play in the Eredivise, he also didn't play internationally.
