Whats the difference between the two cars? One's got a different livery obviously but other than that is there more to one than the other?

Fully tuned they are identical from what I can tell.

Regardless of the differences (if any), I am in love with those cars.

Actually (I was surprised by this myself), the Team Playstation edition has 2 PP more than the normal LMS car, and the Playstation car has 554 horsepower compared to 513 on the normal LMS. So I guess there is a bit of difference there.

I guess there is no difference (as I originally posted).

I have every one of these cars with 0 miles and 0 switches. The normal cars and the Playstaion car all have 512hp and 587PP.

I got that information from mygranturismo.net, and they're usually very reliable. Please excuse me. Here's a link, my apologies.

That's brand new though. You forgot about engine break-in. You know? When you drive it for 200 miles or something the HP raises. Thus the Team PlayStation probably rises higher then the regular one. Who knew stickers gave you HP. :p

Blatant advertisement automatically gives you more :D (see Chrome Lines and Stealth Models for more info. :))

Although even I had no idea there was any difference between the two of them :boggled: I mean I've had the R8 LMS for a while now and I should have been able to tell the difference between the two of them long ago...

Maybe even back when I had GTPSP. (I had a Team Playstation back then :))

lol, that means my Civic has way more horsepower than a normal Civic

Does the Playstation car outhandle the normal one?

Actually in the OCD right now, the two new R8 LMS are rated the same- both hp and PP. The price is a steal as well at 2.65 mil. I'd just bought one (Team Playstation).

I wasn't a big fan of standard cars- no cockpit and somewhat less detailed driving physics/FFB (on some standard although some are as good as Premium's FFB) but now I'm transformed (or reformed). I discovered the joy of driving standard with no HUD.

They are zero miles thus they have not gone through engine break-in. You didn't read my post did you?

As said before, I apologize for the mishap. That's the first time that database has let me down.

Would appear those R8 LMS' in the OCD with zero miles proves they're the same brand spankers, but what about broken in?

Well....we just need 2 people, one buys the normal one and the other buys the Playstation one, then both set them off running the B-spec Nurb 4 Hours (to ensure break in and enough distance on the car), give them an oil change and see.

All the cars in the OCD used to be second hand and i do believe they still are. PD only knocked the mileage down to zero and halved the price. They are run in although they show no mileage.

And they both handle exactly the same, Also for a LMS concept they are allowed in the new seasonall german touring car races.

Just to confirm they are both the same. Both of mine are run in with all mods and have 726bhp / 1300kg / 640pp. I think I got them both last year so it was way before the 0 mile ocd run in cars.

btw, I was quite disappointed with them… overweight and underpowered… look good though :)

sorry, but that's not true. The cars are not run in. My blue lms has been used and has 537bhp compared to it's starting bhp of 528 which the playstation lms still has. both cars are similar just different liveries.

No, they are already fully broken in despite the 0 miles. The only reason the OCD audi has less horsepower is that it needs an oil change.

Broken in? I say b.s. The horsepower goes up over time, or, if I prefer, after an oil change. How does fresh oil increase horsepower? In other words, take a used car, do an oil change, check horspower-(increased). Haven't even started the engine. More acurate would be the programmers ATTEMPT at simulating break-in)

What are you on about? A new car (from the dealer) gains 5% horsepower immediately from an oil change, to simulate using high-performance oil. It then gains another 3% over the first 200 miles to simulate engine break-in. That's just how the game works, whine about the programmers all you like.

A car from the OCD also gains 5% from an oil change but will not gain anything more as you drive it, as it's already "used" - only reset to 0 miles by PD. After an oil change it will have the exact same HP as 1000 mile used car from the UCD would have.

Every car need an oil change at first. But the HP goes up I've witnessed it with my own 2 eyes.

Every car you buy benefits from an oil change. Just tried one from the ucd, a 1000 ticket and the ocd just in case something has changed, but it’s still the same.

Go and buy the lutecia Renault sport from the ocd then change the oil… it will go from 293bhp/480pp to 308bhp/487pp… same with any other car unless it’s a gift that’s had the oil changed already.

Currently breaking in the Renault to see if the ocd cars are already run in :)

EDIT: No change… ocd 0 mile cars are already run in ;)
