Yes, they are all VEs in that pic, I can try and go through what model each one is if you like. Keep in mind our V8s are actually Chevy V8s, we made the V6s going in Cadillacs nowadays and Commodores. Fuel is currently around $1.30 AUD /Litre, I have no idea what that is in $US per gallon, but it is hurting large car sales badly, Commodore is only barely holding top spot to the craptastic Corolla.

Wow, that's scary. Gas here is $3.10 USD.

That's okay, you don't have to go through the whole picture for me.

Their gas prices work out to 4.30 or so USD.

I was trying to figure that out. I know an Aussie dollar was worth more, just didn't know how much more. It seems like everyone is getting hammered for gas. The guys buying per litre pay even more than us per gallon!

Aussie dollar is worth less, with Aussie dollar being worth about 0.80 US dollar. What's this repression stuff I hear you and possibly the world is about to be hit with? Does that effect gas and car prices?

It has and will continue to affect gas prices without doubt. The US dollar is rapidly deflating in value due to a huge host of reasons, the two foremost being (A) the fact that we elected a chimpanzee to the Presidency, who has run off half-cocked and further destabilized the already-volatile middle east, and (B) the artificial real estate boom in the US is in the process of collapsing as the predatory lending practices that spurred it on come under fire. That's certainly not all of it, but as the price of crude oil skyrockets, gas follows. This will definitely affect prices of vehicles as well - the price of big cars and SUVs may actually fall as demand for them rapidly decreases. Likewise, the price of more fuel efficient economy cars and <shivers> hybrids will probably increase according to swelling demand.

Wow, that's quite a time gap. It's presently 10 PM here in California. Either way, I thought a post by Greycap was a post by you ("Huzzah! Leo's doing a Quattro!"), so I guess we're even.

I think.

Perhaps, now Greycap has to slip up... Can you help us with that?

YOU FIEND! It's been edited, but it doesn't say so! Teach me please!

EDIT: Oh, I see. Nevermind. Hmmm... I never knew that, if you didn't put in a reason, it doesn't show.

You called? Although I fail to see the actual issue I was supposed to help with here I'll just say that no, leaving the reason out doesn't mean there's no mention of the edit as you can see from this post. But editing inside a certain short time (no idea how much exactly, one or two minutes I guess) leaves no mention. It's handy for correcting the typing errors that were spotted only just after pressing the Post button and still coming up with a tidy post.

In this country we pay around 1.40€ per litre. That $8.00 a gallon for you Americans. Fair? Not by any means.

Well then. Now I see why you guys are getting the V8's. That comes up cheaper than over here. I don't give it long before you guys catch up.

That explains why you have all the hatches and small stuff.

Mafs!!

I like the vid! funny stuff.

I'm not sure the of the topic of this thread, but I'll go with the original. I was on here regularly back in the GT3 days. I actually remember you now, RJ. That was what? Five years ago? Since then, I've moved twice, gotten two new jobs, basically live life & grow up a little along the way. Believe it or not, I didn't even own a copy of GT4 until the Greatest Hits was available. I managed to get an original, though. I'd pop in here for info if I needed it, would post on occasion, but for the most part I was too busy with other things. This last week, I had some time on my hands & something of a problem, so I started a thread about it. Now it's just like old times, the same spirit is here. Lots of new faces, but that's how it goes, it helps it carry on, too. I don't think many other games have inspired so many sites devoted to it, Jordan & the admins have done a great job here. I guess my point is, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Rat Bastid: I wasn't around until early last year. Started with the nick about two years ago, tops, didn't join here until a while after.

Just like Florida over here in the states. Freshwater is home to sooo many Gators.

Yeah but Gators, *laughs quietly*, they're so small. Have you seen the movie "Rogue"? That's a croc  :trouble:

This is the way we race down under, after 24hrs these were the last laps (that's right 24hrs) and these 2 duked it out for first and second.

Why doesn't a youtube video show in my post above? How do you put one in?

Anyway, here's a link to the video seeing as the video itself comes up as a white box here.

It was the 2003 Bathurst 24hr and it was the final laps, they were on the same lap, and they were duking it out after 24hrs of racing.
