How many Australians play GT5? How many is it relative to the scale of Gran Turismo?

Surely we deserve more than three poorly modeled cars, of which they were ALL just ported from the old games.

At least a track? As if Bathurst isn't world famous... V8 Supercars would be so much more interesting than NASCAR. The V8's are basically like a Top Gear race, all the time. Everyone racing around like idiots, hitting eachother, having a laugh... Fighting. You could have a tangent career driving for the red or the blue team :)

Jeremy Clarkson was right when he described Bathurst: "A bunch of Australians turn up to this track and have a fight. Then, occasionally: a race might break out!"

i have only found the monaro so far, what other australian cars are there?

There the Monaro CV8, the Holden Commodore VY SS and a Tickford Race Car (which is a race-painted AUII Falcon).

The Monaro seems to be fairly common on the Car Lot, I've seen the Commodore twice (so fairly rare) and I've NEVER seen the Ford.

Yeah I was disappointed to see there were only a couple of Aussie cars and no tracks. Just wait until there is a worldwide online competition or something.....maybe that will get their attention.

I wonder what happened to get rid of the FPV cars, I wanted to drive them.
And Momoniu you can add me, but I probably won't be racing online for a few weeks.

Probably not :(

We've gotta get Kaz's attention, after all, he only wanted to add NASCAR after he went to America and liked the sport. We should get him here to watch some V8s :P

Does Codemasters still have the V8 Licensing with their crappy V8 Supercars Race Driver game?

Oh come on, there are people from tons of countries that don't have their local cars in the game. What makes you more important than any other country?

PD made their choice, and they only put 3 OZ cars in the game. Man up and live with it.

^
I don't think many would appreciate a 2hp lentil bean over a 400hp Aussie muscle car.

Aussie drifter here, have both the CV8 and SS, not seen the Ford yet either. I hope they removed the FPV's in some sort of scheme for releasing them early on as premium DLC, can't think why else they would be gone when the rest of Ford USA is still in.

The difference is Australian manufacturers produce world class cars, not Lada Riva's... Top Gear rated the F6 the best sports sedan under $100,000AU

Too bad it is only available here.

Perhaps you should look up some video footage of our V8 Supercar races and you'll hopefully see what the fuss is all about.

Also because Holden is under GM and Ford AU is under Ford. It's not like they're two tiny companies run by Tom and Larry.

Holden also produces some of the best value-for-money cars in the world. The Americans and their Pontiacs and the English and their Vauxhalls are based off many Holdens. The most obvious is Pontiac GTO and Vauxhall VXR, which are both Commodores.

In addition, the HSV Clubsport (which is Holden) was rated by Jeremy as one of the most fun cars he had ever driven.

I wasn't expecting any new content, but it was disappointing that they couldn't even retain all the content from GT4.

Forza might have it, as there were 8 V8s in FM3.

It would be nice to see some more touring cars in GT6; DTM, WTCC, V8s, BTCC etc.

Damn Turn10. Surely the V8 committee (or whoever controls it) would allow multiple licenses, I don't think they're as uptight as F1 or anything.

There's already about a dozen of the British League cars as Standards; in addition, it wouldn't even be hard for PD to do V8 cars, it's just two models (Falcon and Commodore) with a ton of different paint jobs.

Aussie here...

It would have been nice to take a clubsport sideways around the top gear track. But apart from that, you gotta look at another country's offering if you want a nice track car.

Sorry if I sound un-Australian, but it's hard to get too excited over these cars when I see a billion of them every day.

Pretty lucky to see billions of W427's, F6's, GTHO's and the like considering their rarity.

I know what you mean; and in the case of a Falcon and a Commodore, I agree.

But what about a Brock Special? What about a GTHO Phase III? What about the Super Clubby? IMAGINE THE SUPER CLUBBY'S SUPERCHARGER!!!

BATHURST!!!!!!

You don't even need to be Australian to want the best race track in the world. I believe it got 2nd or 3rd most wanted track in that most-desired-tracks thread.
