Why steering wheels only??

Is it because us pad users are slower or race dirty?

I managed to become part of TTR (an Aussie race group) and while I'm not the fastest, I can hold my own and, if its a good track/car combo, clean up not to badly. And most of the TTR gang use wheels and a handful made it into the top 10 of their country for the last GT Acadamy, so we aint exactly slow.
I may be up for something if I can come.
