Since yesterday is started racing with no racing line, and on manual, cause it heard jt makes you faster. I didnt really care about the racing line, cause i have never followed it. I am also starting to get used to the automatic gearbox, but i dont see the big dofference in time, or is that just me?

Manual will almost always make you a bit faster, as you can shift to stay in the power band of your car at all times. The auto gear box will almost always downshift mid corner and with some cars that will take you right out of the power band (MR2 Supercharger for example). Driving line is useful if you don't know the track well, but either way it doesn't make a difference.

I'm faster with MT, but much more consistent with AT. I'm still trying to figure out what you are asking in your post though.

A manual transmission will only make you faster if you know how to use it properly. It will take practice to do better with it.

Mainly it gives you control over when you shift up or down. Meaning if there's low traction and you're in a high-power rear wheel drive car, you can keep it in a higher gear to help prevent sudden wheelspin when exiting a corner. You can also keep it in a lower gear if you're going through a series of corners where and automatic would have you shifting up just before you have to brake again.

You'll get faster with a manual after some practice. Automatics are boring.
