Oh Ethix101, you and your mythical search thingy.
You tell him to do that so seriously...

lol, well its it possible to learn throttle control with a awd and just transfer to a FR

I'm with Vink......

I started with FR (and have been known as primarily a FR drifter), and pretty soon got into AWD as well...... I drift them both equally, at the moment, so I don't really have a favorite.....

AWD is much easier to learn, and control than FR.....

With AWD you just have to think about the throttle and the brakes.... With FR you have to think about throttle, brakes, and countersteer....... That of course is a very simplified description, but you get the idea......

yeah, but sometimes that i play. i notice that some cars or the settings is similar to awd cars or settings

Well, they can only be so similiar...... They're completely different drivetrains, and need to be controled using slightly different techniques........

hey what if the awd is 35 front : 65 rear? i pretty much use the same style for a car like that. FR!!

No matter how much power you put to the rear, there is still some power to the front, which makes a big difference..... 35/65 is a good setting, and is nothing like a FR car, in terms of handling or controlability........

I usually use a 40/60 setting on my AWD cars (as it should be IMHO) anything less, is trying to hard to be a FR car....... I like drfting AWD cars, so why would I want the control to be closer to a FR car?

Furthermore, if you are drifting an AWD with a 35/65 setting, like a FR, you are going about it all wrong, and should rethink how you are driving........ I would be more than happy to help out.... Just ask...

I am with silviadrifter and vinkento on this one.

I try to broaden my horizon (cliché haha) with different cars, so it is really hard to say which drivetrain I prefer.

Damn. I fired up my ps2 today and played some GT3 for the first time in like 3 months and I officially suck. I gotta get my skills back. I keep understeering into corners and I really need to work on my weight transfer skills. :(

man.....am i the only one who thinks awd is harder than fr?

for me its such a pain in the ass. maybe its just because im used to the way a fr handles and reacts...

never been in an awd before. grew up with fr knowledge or something.

i dunno. whatever.

.....Omnis....when you speak of being harder you mean "it's hard to correct" right? because if you get the angle right on a AWD car (usually diff on each car, but is generally the same for ANY corner) it's almost impossible to screw it up..But if you get it wrong....it's like 1/4 as easy to correct as a FR car....I learned with a 22B...I tried the Fc3S approach....Got me no where, now i'm drifting all kindsa stuff in the Rear powered persuasion....Nissan performance zone? there's such a thing as nissan performance? OOOOOO i got jokes...j/k

lol :/

i dunno....i just dont like it.
