B-Spec Easy Credits!

Just found this thread. I also have used the McLaren F1 '97. Power Ups (High RPM Turbo) and detuned to spec. No idea how much it costs to rebuild the car, though but haven't missed a win yet :)

Anyone tried if the ASM affect the speed on B-Spec? I set it on just in case Bob would push to grass or sand otherwise.

I don't want to spend time waiting for the track to load so I can set the pace for Bob. The F1 is fast enough that it wins even with "Own Pace" so it is nice to just start the B-Spec and leave Bob do his thing. So I can spend time with family and use the time with GT to something that is actually fun :)

On the plus side, the Nürburgring 24 Minute Challenge with the KTM X-Bow is an easy 614,000 Cr with virtually no input from me.

On the minus side, it's messing up my GT6 stats! The game's going to show the X-Bow as my "favorite" car and the Nürburgring 24Hr track as my favorite track! ;) I'm honestly tempted to sell the X-Bow and buy another one just for the sake of my useless stats.

[EDIT: In case anyone was wondering, selling a car doesn't remove it from your stats. Unfortunately.]

Anyway, it's too bad we could win credits from custom events of our own creation (i.e., a 12 hour race at the Nürburgring GP course, or an 8 hour race at Suzuka). That'd be nice for both A-spec and B-spec purposes.

What'd be really nice, though, is if they just got to the point and removed this grindy crap altogether and increased the login bonus to like 500% and removed the need to login on consecutive days to get it. Right now, using the 24 minute Nürburgring race, we're still looking at needing to run one race for 16.5 hours to get just one of the six most expensive cars in the game. (20M / 614K = 32.6 * 30 minutes = 16 hours 17 minutes.) I mean, that's damn near the length of a decent game for one car! While it's nice to not have to actually do much for that grinding, the fact that that grinding still exists is rather irritating, IMO.

I've been running the Super Series "24 mins of Le Mans" (Circuit de la Sarthe) with the Mazda LM55 VGT, and 'push the pace' set at the start. No further input needed as I think a lot of the cars pit due to rain but you don't. £279k x2 login bonus = £558k every 26-ish minutes (24 mins including finishing the final lap off).

I haven't tried the 24 Minutes of Le Mans at all with B-Spec, but if the actual completion time is 26 minutes, that'd make it like 2-3 minutes shorter than the Nürburgring 24 minute race (which tends to take 28-29 minutes in my experience). That could make the 24MoLM more attractive than its payout initially makes it seem. Still, the cost of the cars necessary to beat it (in this case, the LM55 VGT) could be a limiting factor.

I think what needs to be done is a really detailed breakdown of Cr/minute. I've been playing with the idea but haven't done it yet.

For instance, the Nürburgring 24 minute race pays 614,000 Cr and takes approximately 29 minutes to finish, so that's 21,172 Cr/minute.

Alternatively, "Like the Wind" takes about 4-4.5 minutes and nets 140,400 Cr. So that breaks down to 31,200-35,100 Cr/minute.

The trick with these, IMO, is to factor in loading times. Shorter races get dinged more by the PS3's slow loading times than longer ones do. (And, of course, we'll all have to factor in our own preference for how frequently we want to have to babysit the thing. :) )

Next, you have to factor in the cost of the car and the cost of upkeep on the car. If you need the 1,000,000 Cr LM55 VGT to beat the 24 Minutes of Le Mans, that will cut into the profit of running it instead of, say, the 24 Minutes of the Nürburgring with the KTM X-Bow.

Given all that, I'm pretty sure "Like the Wind" comes out to be the most profitable, but the cost of the cars you need to beat it might a limiting factor. I think the cars capable of beating the Nürburgring are generally cheaper. (Though if "Like the Wind" can be beaten with a well-modded C6 Corvette, that'd probably be no more expensive than the X-Bow.)

And on an unrelated note, I'm annoyed that, even though I sold it, my GT6 stats say the KTM X-Bow R is my "favorite" car based on mileage and the Bugatti Veyron is my "favorite" car based upon wins. Both stats used to be the RUF RGT, and that is my favorite car, dammit! (This really shouldn't annoy me as much as it does. :) )

I have a C6 Corvette Z06 I've been using that tops out at 283 MPH (455 km/h). It completes Like the Wind Race 3 in 4:19, but with the loading screens and whatnot, it takes 4:54 to do the full run (from "retry race?" prompt to "retry race?" prompt).

Since each race pays out 140,400 Cr with the 200% login bonus, that's 477.6 Cr/sec or 28,653 Cr/min or 1,719,184 Cr/hr.

So a 20 million Cr car takes 11.6 hours or so of grinding this race to get. Fun.

Well, you could do other things while you do that, such as homework, or get stuff done on another system, or watch a movie on tv, or something like that.

Anything you don't mind interrupting every 4.5 minutes, yeah. :) (I was reading while letting it run.)

The Nürburgring 24 minute race pays out a good bit less (I haven't tested it with loading screens yet, but even ignoring that, it's something like 74% as profitable as Like the Wind Race 3), but requires less maintenance.

Now, if we could just get a 4 hour race that pays out like 6.5 million Cr... :) (Though I think Bob would pit so frequently in any race like that that it would cause a problem unattended.)

Reading is also a good idea. I was watching youtube videos on my iPod and letting it run, and made over a million in one hour.

What I have always done, b-spec or a-spec for money, is do the like the wind event, first race. I use the concept chapperal and you never loose. from the last time I did it (not sure how much login bonus I had) I got 75k, and the 5lap race takes about 4mins. in 60 mins, an hour, you can get 1125000 money if my calculating skills are correct lol.
Have driver set the push the pace just to be safe, the chapperal has the grip to stop him crasing

The Rocket wins at 24 minutes of the Ring every time, even after over 5,000 miles with no maintenance, not even an oil change.

Personally, I found the KTM X-Bow R more reliable at it than the Rocket, but I've only seen the Rocket lose twice.

Not the quickest money in the game but cheap..... A fantastic value is the 2006 corvette Z06 for $94,500 Maxed at 630pp with stock trans can do almost 300mph, it does Like the wind event in 4:15-ish

Corvettes have to have the longest 6th gears in the game

300 mph... Z06 from the dealer... wow...wow.....

sad :(

This car has won for me at 530PP at the Ring with absolutely no controller inputs during the race required (so I can play Assetto Corsa during....lol) using the default susp, diff and ballast settings. Just set "push it hard" prior to the green flag and watch this little giant killer in action.........:sly:

 Consistently? Even against faster cars like the '97 BMW-McLaren F1? Wow.

Question, though. You said it's 530 PP, but I see it listed online at 477 PP. What mods did you add to get it up to 530 PP?

So a 20 million Cr car takes 11.6 hours or so of grinding this race to get. Fun.

The key is to not worry so much about the amount of time it will take and be busy with something else. From my experience, those hours go by like nothing.

Besides, no matter what method you choose to make money, saving up for those 20 million credit cars is going to require a degree of patience.

There are some AI lineups that it won't win against and the '97 BMW-McLaren F1 is one of them. I won't be able to get back to my PS3 anytime soon, but I had added all the power parts possible and changed the oil to get to 530PP. I was stunned to see it win with no inputs.

1) Take a TS030 on IM tires to the 24 Minutes of Nurburgring
2) Set for "Push the Pace"
3) In a few seconds the "Pit" indicator will turn on. Turn it off.

Leave and come back in about 27 minutes and collect 614,000 credits!

Note: A lineup without the McLaren F1 GTR race car(s) is preferred.
Works great but does it work better with a tune?

Works great but does it work better with a tune?
I've often wondered if B-Spec Bob cares about the tune the way we do. I think he does, but the TS030 is so good it seems most tunes work quite well; there are several floating around. Of course, a suitable gear ratio is the place to start, which under 1.17 is a little screwed up at the moment. I am quite sure the LCC Rocket benefits from tuning in B-Spec.

Do you want me to post my TS030 tune? It's a little different from Priano and ShaunM80.

In December I set myself a new target, to own every car in the game. After about 3 months this became a real bore. Then along came B SPEC. What a godsend. My own personal favourite grind is Like the wind 3 with the 15th ann Huayra. Now I spend 1 morning a week grinding and rolling cigarettes. 1 morning a week grinding and buying new cars, and 5 mornings a week grinding and reading a good book.Only 100 more cars to buy, its great.

Route X
I put Bob in my Blue Chrome Chappy 2X laser car (down-tuned just about as far as it'll go) gets 4:29.7. The Bugatti still comes in only a second behind him. Bob was on Push it Hard.
4:30.1 just Pushing it.
At his Own Pace the Huayra overtook him on the last corner and Bob won by .098 of a sec!
Special Stage Route X.jpg
He will win all Like The Wind races in this.

edit; There is, of course, no tuning with this and it manages 260mph ish

Continuing the above;
I had 2 Bugattis and a Citroen GT (all behind after the first 3 seconds) put Bob in 4th on one occasion. After reloading I got 1 Bugatti that finished 4th at best. So the opposition driver ai can play a big part.
Also - the 2X acceleration! Passed 6 cars in the first 20 seconds and in first place at 1 minute.
And while I think of it; I had 1 race where a Pikes Peak car was knocked into a smoking spin ahead of us by an overly excited ai.

Bumping this old thread.

I am trying to complete all the trophies in GT6.

Just not sure wich is the best way to get some easy credits, now that the servers are off and I cant get the login bonus.

Wich events are good to B spec grind now and is it still viable when there is no login bonus ?

The best races are:

Use the tomahawk in
Like the wind, race 1. 69,000cr every 4 mimutes

Or

24 minutes of Le Mens 271,000cr

Like the wind is better because you will earn more money per minute but it's a lot more work re-starting the race
