Still new to GT5 and I am level 16 ASPEC and 2 BSPEC, I'm wondering whats the point in sitting watching the PS3 and doing nothing in BSPEC...Am I missing the point can you actually do anything when in BSPEC apart from give about 3 commands that seem a waste of time.....
 
The only real reason for doing a bit of B-Spec is to win the Furai in the Miata cup. The Furai is an exceptionally useful car for A-Spec... so after you've won it you can give up on B-Spec for the most part.

Unless you want to suffer through it up to level 35 and get some mildly useful car. Which I find not worth all the hours you have to sink into watching your Bob suck, cringing.
 
B-Spec is handy for when...

-I'm at school
-I'm asleep
-I'm eating
-I'm out

It's good to know when I get home from school everyday Bob has won me a 4 hour race!
 
It's very useful for making money when you're too busy to play yourself. I'm Level 26 A-Spec and 25 B-Spec myself.

I like B-spec its very basic but nice. i have done some exciting close races. Some races can be be boring and frustrating though.


If you don't like B-spec use overpowered cars. and do a b-spec race when you go to school, work, wash, sleep, eat or when you visit this site. it give you free cars and credits.

Many touring car or GT-type racing series have teams of drivers, rather than a single driver on a single team. Ever watch any motorsports? Often during pit stops, drivers switch place with one another. It's supposed to be our goal to build a driving team, so that during endurance races, we can switch from A-spec to B-spec. That's the way it was in GT4 anyways.

NASCAR is one exception to this. Races can last 2 or 3 hours (sometimes more) with the same driver at the wheel.
 
Yes I watch a lot of motor sport and visit many tracks but never ever watch boring endurance races they so not needed, and back to gaming I would never leave my PS3 ON
 
As others have said, its good for getting certain prize cars/money. However, I find it utterly useless now with the seasonal events. Im a level 0 BSpec & level 24 ASpec and just started the professional series with 5.5m in credits. I dont see any reason to use BSpec, its utterly boring and Id rather just drive myself, that is why I bought the game if I remember correctly:)

Thanks mate, yeah that is the only reason I bought the game to drive myself, It's took me a month to decide I actually like the game lol but I don't play a lot a few hours a week....
 
Im not a fan either....Even if it is a good way of getting money later on you still have to start by putting a driver with the Intelligence of an amoeba in a car with the power of a diety to get through the first "several" levels. Even then I cant trust the halfwit to complete a 4 hour race without pulling into a french sand trap and taking a not so well earned break from the rigors of his less than stressfull life.
 
The biggest draw to B-Spec is that it's essentially free cars and credits (for the most part). When you reach level 35, you get the Red Bull X2010 S. Vettel delivered to you. I just reached 35 last night and it's nice to have pretty much every car you want and still be sitting on 12MM credits you can spend if you see something of interest pop up in the UCD. It's nice to come home from work or from going out and see that your team just won a 9hr endurance race. It may be only a shade more than 200K in credits, but those are credits I did not have when I last left my PS3 on.

Also, you can't earn 100% without doing B-Spec, so if you care about that or trophies then you can't really avoid it.

PS - Dream Car Championship in the X2010 (on A-Spec or B-Spec) is the easiest ~1.1MM credits you'll get.
 
I for one love B-Spec. I'm mainly in the game for collecting different cars. This tends to require a LOT of money. That means letting my B-Spec driver grind races while I'm cooking dinner, out drinking, watching TV, etc.

Sometimes I'll set the B-Spec driver to a race then flip the tv over to cable and just check up on him on commercial breaks. It's something more productive than letting the game sit in the box.
 
I just want to use B-Spec to grind for money and get the good prize cars that can only be won there. That's it. I'm lv. 4 right now, so I'm just putting Bob in overpowered cars so I can plow through the events.
 
Just do B spec until you get the Mazda Furai, Zonda R and free Ferrari for completing the level where you win the Zonda, then ''retire''.

Those 3 cars saved me 6,000,000 (I won the SP1 Ferrari).
 
In a word b-spec is awesome it gives you cool cars that be used in later races, i'm nearly lv 32 b-spec as while im at work my drivers are going around suzka 1000km just finishes when i get home so i can level up and have some credits should unlock nurburg 4 hour after tommorrows stint which is what my ps3 will be doing while i work cause i want the x1 and b-spec seems to be the fastest way to get to lv 35, also minolta i got from like the wind b-spec which is handy for a lot of races,
 
B-spec is great. It allows me to earn money and car's while I get on with the housework and other job's that need to be done. It's very rare that you have to babysit the driver as most of the time you can use a more powerful car than the other drivers.
