Peter, will there be any further options to lengthen out the transitions from one weather Sky box to another? The transitions are sometimes quite abrupt and I've got the transitions set to their maximum values/lengths.

how do you change the weather? If there is enough time in the weather slot transitions the skydomes will slowly fading!

But if you change weather instantly in the slots themself, sure the transition is also instantly!

If you just want to fade between certain weather types, you can make a weather plan (multiple weather slots) and then right click a slot and it will use the fade to slot mechanism. You can also change the time of fade then in the settings:

right-click a slot and the time bar will blink while Pure Planner fades to that slot:

you can change the fade-to-slot time in the settings:

For normal weather plans where you RUN the plan, the transition of the skydomes will be the set time in Pure Config.

The impact on your system should be less with Pure! Sol has a weak code and it uses the rare update method, which causes microstutter!

So don’t look at the fps too much! Sol can have a little more fps, but this is just because Sol has many frames with a low timing but then 1 frame in a sequence with a very high timing. In average the fps is a little higher than compared to Pure BUT the frame flow is worse. Just have a look at the CSP render stats app. With Sol you see a lot of spikes there which are causing the microstutter.

In Pure I balance the CPU load across the frames and so in Pure you have an equal frame timing. That makes the frame flow very smooth!

Also, Sol produces tons of memory leaks while running. You can watch this in the Lua Debug app. Those memory leaks must be freed again and this needs a lot of CPU timing which causes a big stutter every few seconds again.

In Pure I strictly prevent creating memory leaks and so you don’t have those memory reallocation stutters.

Also Pure is the one weather style where I achieved a neutral lighting to match a very good color reproduction.


Actually you can use Pure Gamma (the one that most people use) from CSP 0.2.0 on.
Pure LCS (which is the most recent development, with better performance and LCS shader integration) is working with CSP 0.2.3 on.

You could use Sol with CSP 0.2.9/0.2.10p1 or lower...

Update: csp 0.2.11 installed directly from CM, with the changes to the Nuzzi app code, on the "Monza '88" track by Rainmaker/dabaeda (I mistakenly wrote Shin956, sorry). The problem seems to have finally disappeared, solved. I'll do another test and try other tracks, but maybe it's finally solved. 😄👌

No problem man, you did an amazing job with both which were a game changer. Now is only a matter of time to train my eyes with the new looks that PURE brings to AC. Then, if i will be able to update the GPU too, i will be able to avoid care about performances, but now my 1060 6gb is the bottleneck of the whole system

1080ti can be found for less than 200eu

I bought one to hold me over until/if I plan to upgrade to a new system (I am on a 4th gen Intel i7).
Replaced a 980ti with it after doing price-vs-peformance compare. (a 1080ti offers better pef than a 3060).

I know man, but since the whole system is WAY WAY powerful there's no reason to spend 200 for something old like the 1080ti. Instead is better wait a bit and pair it with something that works fine with the other specs, it's just a matter of priorities. But since i don't aks anything to AC, i can survive as i did till now for few months

So I reinstalled this GC-10 mod from ACTK, where incidentally a bunch of my skins are included with the mod, but anytime I try to start a session with more than one car, my pc locks up and even task manager is frozen. The only solution is a hard boot, so I'm trying another mod, I'll add my skins to it, see what happens...if there's no issues I'll tidy it up and release all my skins updated in one zip.

I was a little bit curious and I dowloaded ACTK version... strange things happens in this world. He made some updates exactly like mines 🤔 If I knew I would rather have spent my time in other ways

Yep, and he (or she, who knows...) has also fixed the problem with the Playstation skin... I'm curious to know what was going on with that skin; I compared with the ones that worked well and I wasn't able to figure out what the problem was... nothing strange given my lack of modding skills.

ACTK... would it be so hard for you TO QUOTE THE PEOPLE who help improve the mods, pleeeeease? It will be one small step for a man (or woman), but one giant leap for modding mankind...

I had a similar problem, but not as serious, as the session simply wouldn't load and the game crashed, but I could close it without any problems.

After testing, the cause turned out to be one of the included skins, specifically the Playstation skin. Once removed, the mod loaded without any problems.

By the way, that mod is so fun to drive that it deserves a little more graphical attention, to close the gaps between pieces and "clean up" and define some textures, for example.

Go to Playstation skin folder
Open scr_wheel.dds and then save (without editing)

I trushed ACTK version. It has a huge gap near the rear lights and the upscaled skins are useless (no AA was implemented)

I tested "Monza 1988" from "Carrera4 and Rainmaker, updated by DaBaeda," the first round of the championship, and the problem seems to have been solved.

I only use Real Condition and Pure Dynamic LIVE weather and it is also very abrupt when changing, specially when it rains then stop, takes a couple of seconds to have the track dry.
Any way to fix this?

So, are you the one who fixed the skin?

No. I think that the original file was corrupted and to fix it it's enought to just to save it again.
In any case this is the file (remove .txt and copy it to 5 playstation skin folder)

i know there is more easy ways to change names but ...
also is there a way to change name just for a skin but not for the rest ,example name of the car ferrari 296 gt3 and if i use skin1 then the name change to 296 gt3 kessel racing and if i use skin2 then the name change to 296 gt3 af corsa.

Do you want that name change to appear in the loading screen when loading a track or in the name of the car in the results screens / timing pages?

Rename the skin folder in something like "1skins" (just to have a backup) and see if the car loads.

delete the versions on your HD
go to https://www.assettoworld.com/cars/1
in the "Keywords" search box at the left type "scirocco gc10"
download the first 4 (those are the ones I have)

You can't use "data_override" to change INI files, that could be used to change the performance of the car, as you could use this for cheating in online races. In car.ini you can change the weight of the car and make the car faster. "data_override" only works for INI files, that only change the graphics or sound of the car, e.g. lods.ini, driver3d.ini. If you want to change the ingame name of the car, you have to unpack the data.acd, rename it and change the car.ini in the new "data" folder. But you can't use this car for online races anymore, if you do this.

Hello everyone, this is my second post about Fast Ai on GT Planet.
It's become one of the tracks I frequently drive ever since I first experienced it in GT7 it's a fun circuit.

- Fixed AI driving issues in Sector 3 (specifically with cars like the LMP2).

• Adjusted the racing line in the hairpin sections of Sector 1 and Sector 2.
• Adjustments were made to the AI usage zones in Sector 1, Sector 2, and Sector 3.
• The DANGER value was adjusted to modify AI aggression in Sector 1, Sector 2, and Sector 3.

Version 1.1 -> Version 1.2 Update Notes
- Fixed an issue where AI cars would brake abruptly and excessively after the pit exit.

The issues encountered in Sector 3 have now been resolved, and the AI drivers operate more stably and safely than before!

You can find a version on Overtake.gg, but since the most up-to-date version seems to be on Patreon, I've linked to the mod post on Patreon.

The difference in lap times between the standard AI and the Fast AI is as follows.

I used the BMW M4 GT3 2021 from the ACF LFM GT3 Pack when creating the Fast AI.
Please try it out, and if you notice anything unusual, feel free to give me feedback.

Maybe using Assettocorsacartuner? It allows you to create variants of a car, including modifications in the acd/ini files. You can chose a new name as well.
