Love them, and action RPG is probably my favorite genre of games these days.
It also has a sequel coming out soon, and you should also look for Everquest: Champions of Norrath, and Fallout: brotherhood of steel.
The xbox also has a few watered down game called D&D heroes, and the Hunter series (which is also on PS2).

These games are few and far between, but I've loved them since The Secret of Mana on the SNES.

Actually those two are for the Ps2. BG:DA2 is being developed by a new team that did Planescape: Torment for the PC (which is widely accepted as the best PC RPG ever.) and Champions of Norrath is on the PS2 and will feature online 4 player cooperative mode. It is also being developed by Snowblind which created the first BG:DA game.

Action RPG's are all right. I like more Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and Fallout style games though.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is a pretty simple game when you learn it's secrets. Even though it's supposed to be a Diablo 2 -like dungeon bash, you don't really have to kill any enemies if you don't want to. You can just jump past them all, since jumping repeatedly is faster than running. Also, you can beat all the bosses by running around them and hitting then every now and then. Then won't get a chance to hit you. I realized all this in the last third of the game, and literally jumped through the last couple dungeons, not killing a single enemy, expect the bosses.
