magic_town, where do the HQ's run through the season?
I am a large built person and go-karting is becoming a very temporary racing fix and I am considering HQ's as the place I go to.

Check out hqracing.org, that's the national site but there is a site for each state. In Victoria we have 6 rounds at Winton, Sandown and Phillip Island. Bathurst is a once a year stand alone event, as is the HQ nationals.
I raced karts for around 6 months, it was too frustrating and expensive. Racing HQ's isn't really any more expensive, and you're racing on the tracks you've been watching on TV since you were a kid. I highly recommend it.

I'm just looking into all options at the moment. I'm a 3rd year karter but this is my last year. I'd rather be ready for next year than miss out on 6 months racing (on a very tight budget btw).

I'd be looking into the Vic one if any. Phillip Island and Sandown are both about 1h30min away respectivly and Winton 4 or 6hrs (Can't remeber, only went there once in 2007).

I'll PM you a few questions later :)

EDIT:
My DigiBox didn't record (piece of crap it is) so it looks like I'll be waiting for the DVD to be released.
