Winner of the Bathurst endurance race in the GTP V8 supercars!:D
Why does this always happen to me... led 105 laps, had 50+ sec lead. SC comes out, Ash passes me on lap 153

Bee
5th: Blue_Sharky: 6 (Melbourne S3. Nurb S4. Silverstone S4. Hungaroring S3. Shanghai S3. Interlagos S4.)
That should've read 11 :(

Haha... all Ferraris, Renaults and McLarens in the bottom 10 for qualifying.

Could someone take over my account for a while, like I've said before, I'm leaving on the 26th for a week, which means no time for BATRacer....:(

w00tage! Just picked up my second (consecutive) BTCC pole :D

Dunc - crank Jef's sliders down would you (#9274) - I don't want him to crash into me again (then again, the Astras are quicker than my Proton) :(

I'll do it if you want. I'm not in the season so I'm keen for a few races. PM me your account details and what session I have to take over. 👍

Hehe.

Team Toyota will be fully operated by drivers not assigned to it, with Bram AND Matt gone.

Anyone able to top this off I'll send you a Christmas present in the mail!!! :sly:

After 14 rounds. My all time BTCC record is at 244pts (11 wins, 15 podiums).

I had 6 wins (and a championship) in a Super Aguri, does that count? :p

EDIT: Nice run, btw.

any slots still open

Afraid not! We have just reached the San Marino GP, sorry to say, but your now gonna have to wait a good 3 weeks before Season 9. Keep your eyes out for the thread! :D

Why can't I pole sit? My last run was at 100, but it said "needed to push harder" :|

<- And notice the new redness :D

Davidson Retiring At The End of S8!

Big news came out of the Williams motorhome today when Lee Davidson unexpectidly announced, after a mutual agreement with both Patrick Head and Frank Williams., that he is to reire from Grand Prix racing at the end of the Season. The statement was made just after qualifying today where Lee took 11th place on the grid. Lee, accompanied by Manager, Jackie Stewart, and Team Principle Frank Williams, confirmed the action by saying:

"I've had a great 7 years in the sport, the fan support over those years have been awesome. I'm just sorry I haven't been able to reward them with a Championship as of yet, maybe S8 will be my glory year, but it will also be my final year in this illustrious championship."

"I would like to thank both Frank and Patrick for understanding my situation. As for the future, who knows, I'd love to remain in the sport as a whole. It's something me and Jackie will have to have a talk about."

Frank Williams then commented on the issue:

"We are sorry to hear of Lee's decision but I'm sure he has taken time with his family to consider his future. Lee is a fantastic talent both inside and outside the car, and I can only wish him the best of luck with whatever he chooses to do next."

There's a rumour that Lee may take control of a ChampCar Team over in the US, he has also hinted at a career in V8 Supercars.

They are seperate classes within the car set, kinda like LeMans, if your in Production you can only compete in the Production championship with if your in Touring, you compete in the Touring championship.

I've put an update or two on the GTPF1 site.

In other news, for the love of something loved somebody stop Smith!! (Seriously, 4 wins out of 4 - very impressive! And annoying.)

And I still have an open slot :)
