Just so you know, we are actually trying hard with Renault.

We're plagued by bad luck and a strangely slow car.

same here, bad luck for us also.
slow car? i don't know, we have potential.

not being a sore loser, but I do think they need to base the performance after some races.
not just the times of Melbourne.

Well Appie, when your team has a 1-2 in heavy rain, on the wrong tires ahead of most of the class above you, with over 2 laps between you and third place, and a lap ahead of your teammate, then you can say you won.
;)

STR - Consistant top 10 finishes? Yeh, right 👎

In my defence, I am a BATracer champion and this thing don’t wanna go a whole lot faster.

The thing I like about BATracer is that a driver can make the difference, but (and no offence is meant by this) Appie hasn’t really shown signs of pace before, so the SA speed is strange.

It's good to be a gtp champion isnt it Blake!? Something Lee wouldnt know about. lol :D

Ever get the feeling where you wished you'd never entered the game

My poor Honda doesn't stand a chance, lots of podiums but can't get ahead of the Renault

Renault is doing well in your game. If you see that im in with lee then you would giggle. Where nowhere in sight:lol:

To Taipan

I've had enough of this amigo, you smell bad loser through and through, so SA have been given a break, how is this our fault?! We have also had a chassis upgrade, maybe this has had some impact?

I agree it may be a little bit too fast but jesus, no need to cry like a little baby..

If you choose to carry on though, I'll try my hardest to get win after win just to annoy you even more before you spontaniously combust into a thousand and one crying babies..

Oh holy moly Williams must be way too fast if they managed a 1-2!!

See how stupid it sounds now?

Well it's about time - I still feel that SA is stupidly fast, even Spyker is too fast, but at least they aren't stealing the show.

In the past it's been acceptable to see an Aguri take a win here and there, but they've never dominated uncharacteristically like this, it's not right, can't you see that?

Williams have won races, even championships, because they've been one of the top midfield teams, and it's been accepted. But no disrespect to either of you, but I've never seen either of you do well in slow cars. Like Blake said, "Appie has shown signs of speed", but not like this - Lee, may I remind you of how much you got smashed by your teammate last season?

No offence, but you both aren't the strategists that represent true champions; Beyens, Haswell, Dubois etc. Every race those guys put on a show, and you can tell they've planned every lap... you guys just pick your pit strategy and let the speed of your car do all the work.

Surely half of the field can't be wrong when they say that your car is BS???

Umm, nope. It was a 'dry > wet' race. I had planned on it doing that and strategised for it. Notice that the Williams setup % was slightly different to most teams? That's because we put everything 1% towards Wet settings to help in the case of rain, it's the only reason we won. If it came down to a dry finish I would be lucky to get a point because my 3rd set of softs were "Heavy Wear". And we didn't dominated from Lights to Flag, we gained position from other peoples mistakes and untimed strategy.

I got an idea..... lets all quit whining like b1tch3s and get on with the game.

None taken, I'd be the first to admit I'm no Haswell, but there was no need to go on such a hissy fit.

As for last season, yeah Brad had the best of me but still, I think it's fair to say I contributed to his title win, now, if you take a look at the cars I've driven, I've NEVER had the Renault, only the Ferrari once during their slump in '06 (Pre-Montreal) and McLaren twice, not the most reliable team. Rest of the teams have been Mid-Field, your Hondas, Williams and Super Aguris, give me a Ferrari next season then we shall see. ;)

As for Appie, it's the same story, the best car he's been in is a Honda. Now look at the champs, they have won in Renults and Ferraris mostley, the two champs that stand out for me are Kawasie who won Season 3 in a BMW Sauber and Dubois in Season 4 who drove a Williams. I think what I'm trying to say is, strategy only gets you so far, look at Haswell, stuck in the Toro Rosso he finished in the lower teens today..

Yeh, I under stand what you're saying. But we still have the factor of rain in this race. The only way to get a good idea would be a completely predictable Dry race, like Melbourne was - where Super Aguri stole the show. I'm not saying that SA is the only team that is AR$E-ABOUT-FACE, just that they stand out the most.

But despite all things, I think this idea of bringing back the Lottery will fix most of the problems that I think this season revolves around. It's just the whole contract thing that has me upset, because some of us took it seriously in hope for a better driver this season, and then it all went up in smoke because of the new unpredictable carset.

In true honesty, I honestly think that Aguri deserve to have a win here and there, but not be sitting in the top 5 all the time. The speed of the teams should be something like this:

FERRARI
MCLAREN
BMW SAUBER
RENAULT
WILLIAMS
TOYOTA
SUPER AGURI
RED BULL RACING
HONDA
SCUDERIA TORRO ROSO
SPYKER

This is only my opinion, and some would say that Toyota is quicker than Williams, or Renault have the edge on BMW, but all in all, it's pretty accurate, and it's what we should be seeing (if both Ferrari drivers came back from Holiday).

meh, i agree with Jef, lets just get on with the game.

we all have our ups and downs, guess this race we got our pace and luck, so we managed a 1-2.

but anyways... Lee what about Smith, he won in a BMW also!!
:)

Aw :O But if I were a real champ I wouldn't have sucked so hard in 5 of the 6 seasons between then and now.

And if we're going to have issues about who gets what car next season I say: what happened to GTP-A1GP? :)

Edit: Oh yeah, Momentum-o-meter probably coming in a race or two, this weekend probably when I get a break from school.

Edit2: And just to be totally inflammatory, I must say that Red Bull is beginning to completely go under the radar...

It got wet quicker than I expected. I was hoping I could spend a solid 10–15 laps on inters. Instead, 4. Oops.

Well said 👍

Machiels: "The perfect weekend!"

After a rainy race, the Red Bull saw themselves finishinh 4th and 5th. Everyone in the team was very happy with the result. "This is our best result yet, our hard work finally seems to be paying off", Newey said. Machiels was very happy with the car as well: "It felt perfect, in the practice sessions we could keep up with the topteams very well and even though I qualified on the wrong tires, I still managed to qualify 11th and finish 5th just behind Luke. I wonder how the race would've ended for me if I did qualify on inters..." But behind all this cheering, there's a huge tension in the F1 world. Certain drivers keep blaming SA from using illegal parts and that they shouldn't be allowed to use Honda's last chassis. "I was very angry about that as well last weekend but I don't really care now. Williams got their double victory, the SA's did bad so we all got to realise we were wrong thinking that SA was cheating and that they would own us. I think we'd spend more time about our cars and the races instead of whining all the time and discuss about things which are completly stupid to discuss about!"

lol

Bring on 'GTP A1GP Season 1'. :sly:

Shotgun team SOVIET

Seriously though, it might be a good mix up between F1 seasons 10 and 11, giving the BATracer team some time to get the series fixed.

WAIT, I HAVE A GREAT IDEA!

How about we mix things up a bit. Lets do an F1 season, followed by an A1GP series, and then back again.

And we can use the A1GP to work out who drives for what team in F1, instead of the lottery.

The A1GP champion gets first choice of a team, and nominates a team mate for the F1 season. But the catch is that he must chose someone from the bottom half of the A1 season.

Eg. If we have 22 drivers, the Champ must chose someone who finished in places 12 to 22.

The system continues until all top 11 drivers have chosen a team.

If a driver goes AWOL for more than 1 race in the A1GP season, he will be excluded from chosing a team (if he finishes in the top 11) or excluded from being chosen as a team mate (if he finishes 12th or below).

A driver nominated as a team mate can reject the nomination, but he will be put to the bottom of the list for choice unless chosen by another driver.

Drivers that reject a nomination and are put to the bottom of the list must wait until all other seats are taken, then they may chose any OPEN seat on first-in-best-dressed basis.

Any suggestions?

Since I'm not a big A1GP fan I'm not keen to be honest.
