Take it this is a private game? If so, I got a spare slot free. :)

Well we are halfway through Season 10, if you want to be in season 11, give me 3 numbers between 1 and 22 via PM and I'll tell you what car you have for the Season.

That is of course, if your intrested in joining?
:)

No way! I never got a choice! Bloody Knowles...

Honda sucks, but 10 is my lucky number, I can't abandon it!

yay FRESH BLOOD!

lol ultra, ya get the EarthCar?

Did someone mention Le Mans?

My Le Mans race is on in a shade under fifteen hours. Pretty poor qualifying by my team, 7th and 8th (GT, in Porsches) :|

My qual comments read like this:
Code:
1 - (11 min)
Soft 3:36.512
2 - (80 min)
Soft 3:36.676 "Distracted by other runners."
3 - (101 min)
Soft Excellent Lap!: 3:35.881 "Traffic."
4 - (160 min)
Soft 3:38.888 "Unable to deliver all quick sectors." "Held up by another car."

ONE clean lap :(

Team mate wasn't much better:
Code:
1 - (48 min)
Soft 3:38.317 "Could not get into a rhythm."
2 - (64 min)
Soft 3:36.421 "Distracted by other runners."
3 - (94 min)
Soft 3:36.985
4 - (146 min)
Soft 3:36.082

Qualifying report:
LMP1
Audi-Audi-Bentley-Bentley. Interesting. Audi-Benters dominance.

LMP2
Zytek-Zytek-Courage-Zytek. Three Zyteks in top four.

GTS
Aston-Aston-Dodge-Chevy-Chevy. Pair of Astons and Chevs in top five...

GT
All over the show - Ferrari-TVR-04 M3-911 RSR-03 M3

I should mention we're going for a hat-trick of wins - I won Nurburgring, the team mate won Silverstone.

yay FRESH BLOOD!

lol ultra, ya get the EarthCar?

Yeah, which I silly considering that I take pride in polluting.

I hear the brake pads and chassis are made from recycled bottles and egg cartons.

i mentioned it :)

and i just figured out that in my LM24H, I actually make a driver error, instead of retiring, I pitted for 258.11 secs., and repaired the damage.

took the win at the end, i'm surprised :)

Led for 166 Laps, 25 passes, and 18 stops. Finished in 3rd wtih 488 points.

can you guys see this?

You can save the page as HTML and upload that (much better for the server), I've got a new addition to add to make it a file download instead of copy & paste

Well, yeah, but you didn't have a nineteen second lead by lap ten, did you? :grumpy:

No, because raw speed rarely wins by itself. And a short first stint is too risky at Hungaroring because you get shuved back into the midfield after your first stop, and it's difficult to overtake. :sly:

That's why I one stopped really late in the race. If only I put my tyre wear slider down by about 3 or 4 notches I would've won. :indiff:

It wasn't like I short-fuelled my car much - my first pit was scheduled for lap 18, and a second pit for lap 45 or something.
It only was a short first stint relative to my other pitstop.

Besides, I wasn't the only one to stop when the SC came out on lap 10!

What's more, I wasn't intending to be running that fast.

(excuse the double post)

Lap 1 of 70:

Fifth-placed man Trendell's fuel system gives up the ghost. Talk about beating a hasty exit.

Come turn five, and fourth-placed Kawasie (Spyker) goes commando. Like last race. Rejoins in 14th.

Skywalker cleanly takes pole sitter Smith through turn seven... the crowd cannot believe it! A Red Bull LEADING? OMMOGOSH. To compound the hurt on the rest of the field, Skywalker puts a simply astonishing 2.5 seconds on Smith in NINE corners.

Lap 2 of 70:
Skywalker's lead is now 4.4 seconds, thanks to a fastest lap (1min 11.162).

Dubois and Horton tangle, after debating who should own the rights to sixth place. Horton loses four places, Dubois has a damaged nose-cone, and pits to get a new nose fitted.

Lap 3 of 70:
Skywalker's lead now 6.6 seconds, and lowers the fastest lap to 1min 10.947. Dubois pits from sixth for his new nose, rejoins in eighteenth.

Lap 4 of 70:
Er, ok. Skywalker now leading by 8.7 seconds. Shepherd loses two places due to some unforseen circumstance.

Lap 5 of 70:
You guessed it. Skywalker now leading by 10.7 seconds...

Lap 6 of 70:
This is getting silly now. Another fastest lap for Skywalker (1min 10.690), lead blows out to 12.5 seconds. Graham (Renault) elbows his way past Chang into the points.

Lap 7 of 70:
Field now more than fourteen seconds behind the psychotic Skywalker. Will this torment end? Meanwhile, Davidson slipstreams Machiels for fourth.

Lap 8 of 70:
Skywalker's lead now 16 seconds...

Lap 9 of 70:
Skywalker still leading, and by a massive seventeen and a half seconds. Davidson pulls a lap 7 on Beyens for third.

-i
Lap 10 of 70:

Smith now a full NINETEEN seconds behind Skywalker. Beyens returns Davidson's favour from lap 9. Nikolakopoulos (Toyota) pulls a stupid move on Rees for 14th, sending Rees into the tyre wall. Hard.

Safety Car is deployed.

-i
Lap 11 of 70:

Skywalker pits from first, and bogs down exiting his pit box, costing him 1.3 seconds. Rejoins in fifth.

4th (Davidson), 5th (Machiels), 8th (Graham), 12th (Kawasie), 14th (Nikolakopoulos) and 20th (Dunstan) follow Skywalker's lead (the pitting bit, not the bogging down bit).

-i
Lap 17 of 70:

Safety Car pulls off into the pit lane.

Lap 18 of 70:
Seventh-placed Chang botches turn one, and drops to 13th.

Lap 19 of 70:
Smith loses the lead to Beyens in turn thirteen, and then second place to Charkaoui.

Dubois and Talor get up close and personal in a fight for eighth. Neither survive.

Lap 20 of 70:
Early pace-setter Skywalker loses two positions for no apparent reason.

Lap 21 of 70:
Beyens pits from the lead. Rejoins in fourteenth.

Lap 25 of 70:
Charkaoui pits from the lead, but outbrakes himself coming into the pits, costing him four seconds. Rejoins in thirteenth.

AlMomen (Toyota) pits from fourth, rejoins in fourteenth.

Lap 26 of 70:
Horton takes Davidson for fourth.

Lap 29 of 70:
Horton takes Skywalker for third. Chang takes Hutchison (Ferrari) for sixth.

Lap 31 of 70:
Someone needs some sleep. Or at least caffeine. Smith is half asleep at the wheel, and fails to see Shepherd pass him for the lead.

Lap 33 of 70:
Chang pits from sixth. Nikolakopoulos follows suit from eighth.

Davidson slams into Skywalker in a reckless passing move for fourth. Davidson has to pit for a new front wing, Skywalker loses three positions.

Lap 34 of 70:
Mason's suspension falls apart while in eighteenth.

After pitting for his new front wing, Davidson is in tenth.

Lap 35 of 70:
Smith pits from second. Slightly fluffs the exit from pit lane. Rejoins in fifth.

Lap 36 of 70:
Davidson crashes out in spectacular fashion from tenth. Horton (P2) and Hutchison (P3) pit.

Lap 37 of 70:
Shepherd pits from the lead. Machiels inherits the lead.

Lap 39 of 70:
Skywalker passes Smith for third.

-i
Lap 44 of 70:
Skywalker gets up the inside of Shepherd for second, Smith fails to negotiate the final corner. Safety Car is deployed.

-i
Lap 45 of 70:
P1 (Machiels), P2 (Skywalker), P4 (Graham), P5 (Beyens), P6 (Kawasie), P9 (AlMomen) and P14 (Dunstan) all pit.

-i
Lap 51 of 70:
Safety Car peels off.

Lap 52 of 70:
Chang takes Skywalker for sixth.

Lap 55 of 70:
Charkaoui pits from third. Drops to thirteenth.

Lap 56 of 70:
Butler pits from fourth.

Chang smashes into Skywalker in a tussle for what is now fourth. Chang escapes totally unscathed, Skywalker falls to eleventh.

Lap 58 of 70:
Machiels breezes past Shepherd for the lead.

Lap 61 of 70:
Machiels experiences a misfire in his engine. The car slows, but somehow fixes itself. Gets back up to racing speed just as his team mate Skywalker nips by for tenth.

Lap 66 of 70:
Chang (where the hell did he come from?) takes Horton for second.

Lap 68 of 70:
Williams team orders dictates that Shepherd makes room for the quicker Chang. So he does.

Laps 62, 66, 67, 68, 69 and 70 of 70:
The two Red Bulls of Machiels and Skywalker swap tenth and eleventh with each other. Skywalker finishes on top.

-i
Lap 70 of 70:

Chang takes the checkered, albeit in controversial fashion.

As the Navy Seals say, "HOO-YAA!".

Great report Sharky. The absolute best I've seen ever on these forums (no disrepect to the others who have attempted this), and the easiest to follow!

I give you the double 'REP' thumbs-up; 👍 👍 !!!

Hey, at least you've found something you're good at... even if it isn't driving an open-wheel racer

Got to say this about the race: overall, it was quite lame. The second-best performing team finished seventh and ninth!.

Took me about an hour to get it all done
(Yuuji, you have competition  )

Who knows, I might add a few extra things in my next report (the flags in this report just came to me in a flash of inspiration, which then led on to including the weather) ;)

Haw haw, very funny

Actually, you do have a point (for once :p). My public title came in BTCC, and my best open-wheel championship finish is third...
