I dunno Appie, Damon kinda really took advantage of having the best car in the field, JV had a reverse career being awesome before freefalling in the BAR mess. He was half decent in 2006 for BMW though..

But once again, they were both still the suckage.

Neither of them managed to do anything amazing, other than Hill at Hungaroring in '97.

That was the highlight of his career for me.

But the problems he has been trough, no wonder. Look on youtube for a lttle documantry about Hill.

I think my aggressive driving style is counter productive in the fragile McLaren.

Also, I don't get along with Ron. I'm a rebel, "Leave my alsation alone!"

But you also have the potentially fastest car so, quit yer yapping.

Not gonna go anywhere without the right setup is it!

The car alone should carry you to 14th even with a mildly accurate setup.

Meanwhile, in Not-GTP Land, the closest qualifying ever:

Seriously, wtf

Post screencaps at least, if it's too hard to do a race report :p

And somebody go make Jules push the "LMES Private Button" ^^

Just joined BATracer today. Getting the hang of it slowly in the open F1 2007 which opened today, under the Super Aguri banner. Teammate was a little lazy, didn't run practice yet - hopefully he'll run some laps during the night.

Seems interesting, and I've got an addiction with these games - I'm sure once the action steppes up, it'll be even more interesting.

Currently doing well, for a first-time runner. Practice-Session got me 10th place (out of 19, in an Aguri :D), with a Spyker juuust ahead of me. With a little luck on qualifying, or with the nice strategy I've got for the race (one-stopper at exactly one-third of the distance), I might get him.

Just a question. A Ferrari managed to underperform insanely (last place, 5 seconds behind the leader) - does that mean he has gearbox troubles or something? And a Williams' session ended with "-" as a time - does that mean a crash?

Nice to see you trying it out Gingiba, hoping to see you in GTP S12 👍 Who knows as my teammate ;)

If they're 5 seconds behind or something, than that means that their setup is totally crap and you shouldn't pay too much attention to that car in qualification. BATracer is a game based on pure luck, most will say strategy but in the end you'll have to rely on your setup, strategy and how much luck you'll have 👍

Basically, you must try to get every part of your setup to "spot-on", which is the perfect setting for that part. The more spot ons you have, the faster you go 👍

Make sure you dont use any softs in the practice and warm-up sessions as softs are the fastest tires and should be used in qualifying. In the race, I recommend using 1 stint on softs and the rest on hards.

Basically, whenever I'm in the top 12, I go for a 2 stopper, a short fast stint on softs and a long one on hards. If I'm near the bottom, I go for the longest stint possible. The first race of the currect GTP S11 season, got me starting from 22nd but I won that race. Thanks to a long first stint of 45 laps, a short 10 lap stint afterwards. If you're on a 1 stopper, make it as late as possible but not too late. If a 60 lap race, I would come in on lap 45 or something around that. This strategy lets you make use of the SC as everyone else comes in but you dont have to come in anyway so that's where you win most places with a long 1 stopper 👍

Be sure to tick the "Use Hard Tires" in your race strategy screen so you dont change to softs which wear out pretty fast. Tire wear goes like following (best-worst):

Green-heat cycled-light wear-moderate-heavy wear-needs replacing. The heavy wear could come before the moderate, I'm unsure of that one right now.

Good luck!

Fresh blood!

Hope you'll be part of GTP F1 Season 12 Metar.

I think I've got the point of this "Setting the car up" thingy - qualifying wasn't bad (9th place, almost the same time as earlier - moved up a spot because another Ferrari crashed), but not that good either since the setup-improvements didn't help. Teammate ran his car stock, probably didn't login to practice

But I think I got the point of it, seeing as in the warmup session, I managed to perfect the setup and achieve all "Spot On"s bar 4 of them, and even then, the hi:-lo: ranges were, like, 74-76, so it's almost completely perfect. Practice laps were bloody quick, with the car picking up speed compared to the rest, churning out laps just 0.9 behind the pace of the two Williams which already headed out on the track, on Hards (they were on softs)! There's a chance for good performance in this car. And if the teammate loads my setup, we might just have a good shot at a fine race.

And I'll be happy to join F1-GTP S12.

Sometimes you get people who just won't share settings, either because they're lazy, impolite or Lee.

Hopefully they'll start doing runs soon. If they don't play for 3.5 days, they get replaced by a new driver. ;-)

I have no problem with him sharing nothing at the moment, but if only he'd log back in an use the ones I gave him, which have even more Spot Ons (two fields had 3 choices in the range. I tried two, didn't work, and I know it's the third, but didn't have more runs), then we might have a shot at some points. In Warmup, I'm still a second behind the Williams, and half a second in front of the sucky Hondas :p

3.5 days? That's still a race and qualifying...
