The zip opens. I get the WinRAR "Please, I beg you, buy the software! We know it's free, but if you give us a twenty we'll stop nagging! PLEAAAAASE, I've got a wife and three children!" message, I unpack the file, run it and... nothing happens. Just nothing.

And now, testing out a new feature...The GTP F1 Championship Official Predictions! Brought to you by that program I've been whoring for the last page or so.

And here's what it has to say about Bahrain:

Interesting things in the race: Machiels and Domingues started high, dropped like a stone in the first two laps and then took each other out of the race. How promising, eh? :sly:

Also, there was another double-DNF collision on lap 26, and Knowles didn't quite make it home (remember, Bahrain is 57 laps). Other than that, good finishes from BMW, and a otherwise scattered point spread.

Yeah, it means nothing, but...uh...it looks neat.

Unfortunatley, it's entirely unrealistic in its outcome.

I'm with Loli on this I just dont get it.

I just wish I could qualify that high. lol

Yeah, to be honest user-friendly-ness isn't on the list just yet - maybe I'll make it, y'know, understandable and release it again in a few days time :)

In other news, Sharky actually did get pole, and I actually did do pretty sucky.

Almost. I finished 5th, while Davidson 6th. That makes a few others wrong... But it's a good predictor on the general outcome.

I may reveal to a few folks that I forgot to set my sliders this season's start, and thus raced those three races, which amounted to quite a few points, with 50-sliders all around.

Go on CCY, "predict" the Spain outcome, it was 100% right about my Sepang performance, so let's see if it can get two in a row (for me, at least) ;)

As you wish, but, you get what you ask for...

And so do I. :grumpy: Knew it was being too unrealistic by putting me on pole.

But it's nothing compared to the epic penultimate lap duel between Machiels and Shepherd for the lead:
Lap 65:
Shepherd (Ferrari) (P2) is lapping slower due to technical problems.
Machiels (Ferrari) (P1) has lost time due to a temporary technical problem.
Shepherd (Ferrari) easily passes Machiels (Ferrari) for P2!
Shepherd (Ferrari) has passed Machiels (Ferrari) for P1!
Shepherd (Ferrari) (P1) needs to pit due to a collision.
Machiels (Ferrari) (P2) is forced to retire from the race due to a collision!
The Safety Car is deployed.

That's going to make so many stories in the morning, not the least because they're on the same team!!

Aside from that, impressive double points for Toro Rosso and Williams; tough races (double DNFs or close) for Aguri, Ferrari, and BMW. Straaaaaaaaaange race overall, though.

EDIT: OK, my account is now on holiday mode, since i'll be on holiday, so please don't think I've gone AWOL again. I will be back next saturday!

I assume that's a championship.

And could you contact that Robbie Hanson regarding Backmarkers II? I haven't heard from him...

I will be back next saturday!
You can't log back into your account until all your games expire, which means if you don't get replaced you can't log in for the remainder of the season ;)

Which also means I'll be teammate-less. :(

RLB Needs YOU!

Do you happen to have a good imagination? Are you a creative son of a when it coems to storylines and reports? Do you hate Tom Hartley?

If so, RLB might just be the place for you. RLB Stands for Real-Life BATracer, a growing community of racers who role play seasons using the Formula 1 2007 carset. Last season, Renault's travy D'Souza won the championship in a last gasp thriller at Interlagos, snatching away the title from Gabriel Nogueria's hands infront of his home crowd.

With Season 4 starting to dawn, we are on the look out for managers of two teams, Spyker and Scuderia Toro Rosso. Hardly a promising start I know, but if you like a good Role-Play or two, what does it matter where you come? RLB has a number of GTP Stars including Jef, Bram, Danny and Metar so why not come join us and have a right ol'laugh? :)

If you are interested in a managerial position or would like more information on the series, just give me a PM.
:)
