Eheheh, maybe I overreached a bit there. But in recent races you know there's been something funky going on down at the McLaren pits. And there was some teams involved in that spying scandal or whatnot (details fuzzy, pardon) recently. Hmm. In any case, sketchy business in both series.

You guys have all looked way too far into what I was telling Danny.
Are you meaning to say that I cannot talk to another driver (Souza) about a team (Williams) that is threatening both our teams (Ferrari and McLaren) chances, and make a gentlemens agreement to - despite being from opposite teams - work together to slow both Williams drivers down?
Isn't the most fierce battle always between team mates? Of course, I want to beat Bram in the drivers championship, but I'm not going to hinder our teams chances in the process.
Where did I say that? I only started talking to Rubens Souza after the Barcelona GP. Besides, I don't think Rubens had ever shown his face until Bahrain where he took over from an AWOL Bruno Domingues.
I believe there is a difference between cheating, and tactics. Please explain how this gives myself or Rubens an edge over anyone else? And if this is what you are refering too...

Everybody: Both Rubens and myself have to try to get to the front of the field in each race before we can adopt any tactics anyway. Who's to say that we're able to get there every race? There is always the chance of both of us retiring from completely random causes in every race. There is always the chance that we'll have a bizzare weather change and it ruin our strategy, or a safety car. It is impossible to orchestrate the perfect race on BATracer, it's all random data that when processed neither I or Rubens, or anyone else has any control over. But we all have our own tactics which we use, and cross our fingers hoping that our car finishes somewhere near the top... so if you're all allowed to have tactics to help you, why can't I?

Well, I'm going to sound like a hypocrite, but in the end, maybe we're just taking a game too seriously?
To be honest this is the most action we've had in a few GTP seasons, even if it's not the on-track kind. It gives us something to gun for (introducing the new special "bullseye red" paintjob), something to write about and discuss in an entirely flaming matter, etc.
Aren't a lot of Actual Drivers controversial as well? They have their fans, their opponents, but the reputation is all part of the fun sometimes.
And I suppose it's not foolproof, although it is annoying that I only have 4 poi- er, that the "plan" is going off quite well at the moment.
In the end I think I don't mind it too much only because I'm very competitive and this just gives us an excuse to get all fired up and level the playing field in other nefarious ways (theoretically - don't jump me yet - but if I had the skill I'd certainly invite partnerships). It's too bad we don't have more control over our drivers or else next race would be quite interesting.
The one thing that confuses me is the strange origin of Rubens Souza, in that he's pretty much a mystery man - KT, unknown on the forums and on here, etc. It'd be cool if it wasn't just Jamez x 2, but that seems unlikely. But if he wants to pay $20 (or equivalent) for the chance of messing with us that's his prerogative.

Very mysterious, as he also has no active games besides the GTP season, nor any archived ones. If he's a multi-account, then he has none named Rubens Souza, as there are a lot of Rubens Barrichellos, and a few Souzas, but just one of both.

Machiels digs deeper, and finds more...
After the first facts of Sepherd trying to delibirately eliminating Machiels' chances on the title, Machiels has now released even more facts, on what seems to be, something completely different from what Dannynews.net has released:
"I've been chatting with that Rubens guy a bit, and he wants to know if we're interested in making a deal to get both teams ahead of Williams in the constructors.
Now I know that we can do it - EASILY - but on the McLaren side, Dunc isn't you're 9 consecutive podium "Hamilton" runner. So it will be a little harder for them.
The deal is, he wont push for wins and let us take the 1-2 if possible, as long as he can take the final podium position.
We tested his theory in the last 2 rounds, not that he would've caught in the later anyway. But, as demonstrated it worked. He pushed until second, main rival set to Dastardly, and we came back in both cases with the same result. Williams have no answer.
What do you think?"
This is an e-mail which Machiels showed both his team and the press directly after the first news on Shepherd leaked out.

"Well, it's all very clear. Jamez tried to eliminate me for the championship, but he told me something very different. Luckely, a former teammate of mine contacted me with the info by Dannynews.net before I recieved Jamez' email, I highly appreciate and respect what the former teammate of mine did. It's all very clear that in all his years at Ferrari, Jamez was never able to challenge the top drivers, yet he still payed Ferrari heaps of money, saying that he would perform better with a champion alongside him. Now that Jamez sucks, again, he turns himself against others, to try and win in a way which is absolutely ridiculous and not be proud of."
Ferrari has already terminated Shepherd's activities in the team at once, a decent teammate is on its way to get the team back on track...
Seriously Jamez, it's not about how many titles you win, it's about how much fun you're having. Danny and Metar are fabulous guys to talk with, and it's showing in this season. Just accept it, you suck, I rule!

Well, just to be annoying (and/or fair), I'd like to invite Jamez to discuss his side of the story here regarding the latest events at the BATRacer forums here, since it's turning into a bit of a public lynching and a fair fight would be nice.

Seriously. Lately, I've lost so many races on the last lap - yesterday, I led my V8 Supercars race for most of it, but lost two places on the last lap. So I guess this race makes up for it: A brilliant start, to make up for the many bad starts, and a last-lap win 👍
