somebodyTrendell was looking good to win the award for most advertising deals when his name was associated with eight seperate beauty products in his home Britain - leading to plenty of good natured ribbing from his pit crew.
DavidsonYeah, F3000 was a great experience for me as a both a racing driver and as a person outside of the cockpit, Arden came up to me after I won the British F3 championship asking if I was intrested in going international. At first it was a shock to the system, totally unexpected. I of course took the offer and the 2 seasons I had with them hold great highlights in my career.
DavidsonOver in America, it was always going to be a test for me mentally because I was so far away from home, I admit I struggled in the first couple of races, but I just needed to get some confidence, this was the first oval championship I competed in. Although I didn't manage to get the win I was looking for, I did get invaluble experience and have learnt to be patient within races. I wish it could have lastest longer because it was a lot of fun but the offer came along and I just couldn't refuse it.
DavidsonOf course I was annoyed of the fact that Jenson was racing and I wern't, but I accepted it and concentrated on the job I was being payed to do and that was to improve the car. The pressure of the fact I might not have been at the team come the next race was certainally massive and coupled with the thousands of miles of testing I covered, I was close to breaking point.
DavidsonWhen Minardi offered a full season race contract, I was spectical as to which was the better prospect, a back end team but racing or a front end team testing. I eventually went with Minardi because I felt I could learn no more in a testing role. When I got to the team I met Simon Trendell who was 3rd driver at the team, we quickly struck up a good friendship which would continue through my career.
Davidson2004 was a different year to the others, that season everyone knew me, I had expectations to keep up, I was even considered a title challenger! The BAR was a great drive for me to secure, it was a young, relaxed team which compared to Williams, the enviroment being alot easier for me to fit into. Also with the addition of Simon (Trendell) becoming my team mate that year, I felt a great sense of happiness that I hadn't felt at Williams.
DavidsonMonaco was a race I'd much rather forget, the accident I suffered still send's shivvers down my spine everytime I think about it. What happened was going up the hill after the first turn, I felt a sudden vibration at the front by my feet, by the time I realised what was wrong the front of the car lifted up as the front wing went under. I closed my eyes and just prayed that I'd still be breathing by the end of it, I was told the car flipped over onto its side and got collected by Brett Edwards who was in the Toyota. When the car came to a rest, I could hear the team on the radio trying to get some kind of verbal contact from me. That's when I knew I survived.

BeeA closer look at the career of Lee Davidson.
Part 1: 'Experience'
Lee Davidson shot onto the motor racing world scene in the late 90's where he competed in F3000 for the Arden team. In his rookie season he notched up a win and 2 other visits to the podium.
After the 1999 season Davidson recieved a test run for Chip Ganassi Racing over in America, Lee impressed enough to win a seat and took part in half the Indy Racing league season.
The offer was a test drive seat for the Williams team, it brought Lee back to his home country of England and shot him up to the pinnacle of Motorsports, Formula 1.
Part 2: 'Patience'
Now in 2000, Lee was where he always dreamed he could reach, Formula 1, although he wern't actually racing, he didn't mind for now. Thousands of people would do anything to get where he was. He was joined by another young brit at the team, Jenson Button, however Button had a race seat for the whole season, Davidson only had a race to race 3rd Driver contract.
Lee managed to stay at the team for the whole season and in the process impressing in particular Patrick Head with his commitment and supreme ability to give positive feedback on the car. He was offered another term as their 3rd driver, but instead declined for another offer he recieved:
Davidson's rookie season was a great success considering what he was driving, he managed to competitivly finish in the top 10 on 3 different occasions including his home grand prix at Silverstone. Although he scored no points, he did open the eyes of teams such as BAR Honda, Benneton and Sauber. However it would be his old team Williams that would snatch his services for 2002.
Part 3: 'Revenge'
Davidson finally got what he waited so long for, a top end racing drive. [2002 season write up not completed due to obvious reasons]
Part 4: 'Spotlight'
2004 saw Lee transfer from Williams to BAR Honda who had intrest in him ever since his Minardi days. He was now brimming with confidence after a breakthrough '03 and was now becomming a fan favourite with many.
His season started off brilliantly with a win at Melbourne, his 2nd of his career, he went on to be challenging championship leaders Duncan Hutchison in the McLaren and Marc Pianelli in the Renault by the Monaco GP, however things were to take a sudden change:
Part 5: 'Recovery'
He suffered a broken arm, broken ankle and a cracked pelvis, he was told he would never be able to race again, however he did not accept the doctors advice. He trained hard during his recovery but still wouldn't return to racing untill 2006 where he was finally given the all clear by amazed doctors to race. BAR became Honda and decided to keep faith in him for a single season. Now a fan favourite, Davidson wears a smile on his face all the time and has been considered a true future champion, if it will be this season is unknown but no matter what, he will keep pushing.

BlakeMy 2nd win will be my last race for the season.
Im going to Europe for the next 18 days, so I wont be able to race. I might not be back in time for the start of season 2, but I will only be two or three days late, so if you guys were feeling generous you might want to wait a few days before beggining the championship? Maybe?![]()
