The two Ferraris were suprisingly split by a Williams who appear to be staging a comeback this season, Canadian driver Guillaume Dubois delivering the goods and taking 3rd.

Damm right. :sly: But I'll still wait to see the car perform in race pace before getting my expectations too high. Potential is there that's for sure, the only thing left to do is pray not to get many "R" in the results columns.

Well I have news for you all! Red Bull is going to be finishing 1-2 this season, so you can all go jump!

OMGRDBL4DACHMPSHP YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO W00T!!!!

Im in McLaren in the current Public 2002. Which is now occupied by a fellow GTPer.

I'm also running "Team nVidia" in the current ChampCar series.

Come and join me :D

I am the sole member of Team GTPlanet in the current pubic ChampCar series. (Champcar Generic Championship #5028)

Any takers for the other seat?

-edit-

I just realised that you can't join a game in progress. :dunce:

I would have, had I not been already in 2 pubic games.

I also just remembered that you can't join a game in progress!

I say the opposite of what Lee said. The top 6 drivers in the previous championship can only select a seat from the bottom 3 teams, and everyone else can take whatever they want out of the other teams.

It gives the people who are not able to perform as well a better chance.

I think the current lottery system (i.e. the one used in S3) isn't too bad. I'm not sure why it really needs to be changed.

Maybe we could have a twist added - like before the 6 (or whatever number) fired players get to move, a different group of randomly selected players gets "offered" a seat at a certain team.

Example time! *funky music*
Bee does the lottery thing. Cause I'm lazy I'll pretend 4 people will get kicked out this year. Let's say both drivers at McLaren (Lee and Chang), Allman (BMW), and Blake (Honda) lose out. So they're looking for a job.

Meanwhile, we roll another arseload of dice and Trendell, Horton, and Beyens, and Kawasie (yay me) get selected. Using the powers of going in order, we have decided that McLaren has made an offer for Trendell and Horton to jump ship to them, while BMW is trying to lure Beyens and Honda wants me. Us 4 can either accept the new seat and give up our current position or slap the offering team in the face with a wet trout and say "No thank you, we're staying right here."

So let's play simulation again and say that Trendell's moving to McLaren, I go to Honda and everyone else stays. Now there are still 4 seats open - 1 still at McLaren, 2 at BMW (Allman's and mine), and 1 at Renault (Beyens's old seat). At this point the 4 fired drivers could push and shove their way to a seat.

It sounds complicated when I put it down on paper, but it could work.

I see what you mean by that. But honestly, as far as I am concerned, I will go where I am put (count me in for S5 BTW) And if there is a Minardi, I want it!

Yeah I agree. It's not fair that the tops guys stay on top and don't give anyone else a go contending for the championship.

It's a time of guessing here at Super Aguri, with Veteran Driver Bruno Domingues being quick all weekend & new kid on the block Stuart Johnstone doing relitivly well in practice & qualifying although it seems that he hasnt done too well in the morning warm-up, being slowest. Shall Johnstones Tactics pay-off? Will Domingues impress as always? Only time will tell...

That could work aswell, but then is that just rewards for winning the championship?

Well, for Bahrain, my rival was Michelin.

Give me an A9X wearing Bridgestones, and I will be right!

BMW Race Report - Bahrain

Kawasie started strong, but pitted early, which we think may have hurt him. Allman began with a very strong run also, but once he pitted, he dropped back with his teammate. They worked together for about 3 laps, then Kawasie pulled away, taking a couple of positions. Every time afterwards when Kawasie gained a position, Allman did too. Lap 28, Kawasie pitted, putting him back in front of his teammate in 9th and 10th respectively. For 7 laps, they drafted each other and such to keep their positions. Allman pulled ahead of Kawasie, but then soon pitted and dropped into 14th. He would later gain 2 positions and finish 12th. Kawasie finished 6th.

Final Results:

Yuuji Kawasie: 6th Position
Jarrett Allman: 12th Position

Current Constructors Championship Position: 6th

Driver Comments

Allman: "I had a great start until my last pit, then I began to fall back. Bahrain is just not my track. The car felt great though. Sepang is almost ensured to be better."

Kawasie: "Allman really helped out here. I started strong, and finished strong with a high point of 6th place, and finishing 6th place. I'm really happy with my position, seeing as Bahrain isn't usually a track I do exceptionally well at."

We will remember that when you bitch about Sepang not being a strong track!

Arrrrrrrghhhh

I hate being series champ - everyone expects more of you. And by everyone, I mean me. And I mean I'm going to be dissecting why I pitted on lap 11 for years now. ><

Edit: And Hanon is the guy we pulled from the BATRacer forums, right? Way to make a splash!

Errrrrrr, Dunc..... anytime you wanna sign in and do practise. lol

Nice to see Ashley is ruining that Ferrari's rep. lol
