So how does this lottery work, does Bee just pick numbers out of his hat?

Everyone picks numbers, or if they dont get assigned one. Then Lee uses a random number generator to see who will HAVE to switch.

he has this program that selects random numbers
i fergot whats the minimum that has to be picked, and whoever gets picked gets terminated from his current "contract" and selects a new team

GTP BATracer Season 5 Lottery

1. Jamez Shepherd (Super Aguri)
2. Jef Beyens (Renault)
3. Brad Horton (Honda)
4. Ashley Butler (Red Bull)
5. Luke Mason (Toyota)
6. Chris Syme (Red Bull)
7. Lee Davidson (Ferrari)
8. Jarrett Allman (Ferrari)
9. Herman Chang (McLaren)
10. Dan Graham (Toyota)
11. Steven LeSabre (Midland)
12. Guillaume Dubois (Williams)
13. Jessica Weiland (Super Aguri)
14. George Morley (BMW)

So let the lottery, take place!

So that is, Butler of Red Bull, LeSabre of Midland, Morley of BMW, Beyens of Renault, Davidson of Ferrari and finally Syme of Red Bull.

With the draw done, the sign ups for the 6th season are now under away with the first news story:

Davidson "I Want To Go Back Home"

After Ferrari's announcement that they will be stopping the contract with Lee Davidson at the end of the season, the Brit has made it sure he wants to return to a British team:

"My time in Italy has been a struggle, I've had trouble picking up the language, the food is horrible and I feel like I'm the only Englishman in the country! I'd love to move back home, perhaps Honda would be the top of my list.

I thank Ferrari for allowing me to return home, I wish Allman all the luck if he decides to stay on and for my replacement, I hope they know Italian!"

This has fueled rumoured that Davidson has goen into talks with Nick Fry, Team Principle of Honda after the two were spotted together during the Canadian Grand Prix weeked.

Rules for sign ups:

Current drivers have first pick over thier own seats (I.E. Domingues' seat was wanted by 3 people, if Bruno wanted to keep it, he would.) This would replicate a contract extentsion.

If you wish to move teams, seats marked OPEN mean that you will take it straight away with no hassle, if their is a driver already there you have to wait to see what that driver decides to do.

If there is a question mark by a driver, that position is awaiting confirmation.

Once you have decided, please announce it via a news story for fun. :)

Thanks!

meh, didn't get picked :|
but can I switch?
want the open Renault seat if anyone wants to trade.

Here is the story...

Mclaren: Chang stays for one more year.
Strong performance by Chang this year. Bounced back from a dismal season 5. This will be Chang's third season with us. Hope he can take home a Championship(s). Currently offering him a one-year contract worth an undisclosed amount.

Chang: I'm glad that Mclaren decided to keep me for one more year, but personally, I have different plans in mind. We will see about the situation.

Right I'm going to go watch a movie with my girlfriend so, I'll leave all this in the cabable hands of Jef (Sting) whilst I'm away, have fun, ladies.

Chang if you want the open Renault seat, you got it.

oh cool.

heh, time to rewrite the story.

Chang: Well, that was a fast end to my situation. I'll be driving the Renault car next season. Since I studied French during highschool, I'm sure the communication between me and Renault will be great. About the reason for me to leave Mclaren, I'd rather not discuss that. Just say that I needed a change from the German team. (Season 3, BMW. 4,5. Merc)

Renault: We are glad that Chang could sign with us, he has shown great potentials throughout the 3 season that he has competed in. We'll offer him a one year contract to decide whether to retain him or not. Hope he can do well.

Mclaren: We have to confirm the rumors about Chang leaving the Mclaren team. Although it is a bit dissapointing for his leave, we are sure to find a replacement driver that is on par with him. We have no comments toward the details regarding his leave

Beyens: 'If I had to go to any team, glad to be back with the Prancing Horse'

With the mid-season contract shakeup underway and the recent annoucement that Ferrari were dropping British ace, Lee Davidson, they have wasted no time filling his vacant seat with former Ferrari driver, Jef Beyens.

Beyens had some good success during his last spell at Ferrari culminating in a constructors championship former teammate and good friend Blake Haswell. With one seat already confirmed, Ferrari have set a renewal contract to Jarrett Allman, who has yet to comment on where his future lies. We managed to catch up with Beyens and get his thoughts about the current season and the future....

Autosport: Jef, what do you think of the current season and your time at Renault.

JB: Well, the season for myself and Renault has only recently started to pick up. That's one thing about the team that I was not too happy with, it would always take a couple of races before the car starts to perform. The crew has been great, but I'm trying to become a world champion and I need a car that can help me achieve that.

Autosport: Would you say the Renault is not a championship contending car?

JB: No no no, it's fully capable but you've just gotta get it right. After Carl and Renault won the championships and I moved here from Ferrari, I was confident that the drivers title would be mine, I was wrong. I've since tried but end up as the runner up at the end of the season.

Autosport: Well for next season you'll be at Ferrari once again. Any thoughts?

JB: Gotta say I'm totally looking forward to driving for the Prancing Horse again. Looking forward to working with a new teammate should Allman decide to stay on, so yeah, we'll see what happens next season.

Autosport: Jef, thanks very much and good luck for the remainder of this season.

Mason signs with BMW
Well after the contrevercy which saw him not renew his contract for next season with toyota, BMW Sauber announced today that an agreement had been reached and Mason would be driving with them next season. Mason later said "It was a bout ****** time i left that ******* ****hole."

Can we chose teams now for next season?

EDIT: OK James, since RBR were both open, you two are now confirmed there and your Aguri spots are open to others.

Simple if I quote Lee:

Thank you, and sorry, I didn't read that until after I had posted (because it was on the previous page), but decided to keep it up just to make sure.

Thank you 👍

(Red Bulls announcement soon to come)

whoa i didnt see that mclaren spot free, if that is the case, there was a mistake made with BMW and Mason will now sign with Mclaren. Sorry for the inconvenience!!

If you guys get desperate for another driver put me whatever spare seat you have. Just make sure you PM me with the info and give me about 24hrs to actually sign up - I've only been on the computer once a day recently.
