Game 11562 if anyone has a free private slot, and wishes to take on a huge racing faction.

By that, I mean most teams are part of one larger team. :/

Password is nigelgibson

In mine and Appie's championship, I took the win at Bahrain with Appie recovering from a poor start to take home 5th. Means we are on top of both championships!

We'll keep you updated.
;)

Erm, V8 Championship marked for deletion...

Why? Just 2 more left to join. Are there any other GTP serieses (serie?) for me to join? :)

Well it hadn't recieved anyone new for a few days so I felt we might aswell postpone it till a later date..

Just had a look at the BATracer forums and, when Season 9 ends, the F107 car set comes out, we have a new home boys!

Blake: I can't actually remember the password... Anyone help out?

and lee uploads another helmet. i swear you have a lid fetish. lol

found some images of those cool red sidewalls on champcars and edited my liveries I'd done to showcase them. The Hulk one I did for Lee and the blue/black one is an early livery when I first did them. I wish the game would use these tyres. lol

See, now that's what shoul've happened at Jerez '97. Tell me how the hell the outside car (Villeneuve) didn't replicate Lee's car? :ouch:

Not been a terribly bad season for me:) Fair few retirements but also some good wins:)

Looking forward to the 2007 season carset:p

And Laura finally bags a pole in the final race, typical. :P

Well for the championship, Brad second is good, David 7th, guess who's 6th?
:trouble:

Big March Patch
NEW STUFF

# Added user search facility. Search by forename, surname or username.
# Added player profiles, containing basic information about that player, their ranking, active games and links to that players archived games.
# Added ability to edit custom text in your profile.
# Added links within the game pages to link directly to someones profile. Now driver names on the standing page, in game chat, and on the join game pages (including mid-season join pages and other areas) will now link to a players profile. This makes it even more easier to choose potential team mates, or indeed to evaluate the strength of your opposition!
# Added buddy system.
# Added personal messages system with inbox, sent box, address book (from buddy system), and new PM alerts on the game pages. Supports smilie codes.
# added e-mail alert option when receiving PM. This can be turned off via Edit Account if you wish. You will not receive an e-mail alert if you are online.
# Added ability to leave player comments on another players profile, receive e-mail alert when you get a new comment, and delete/censor comments from your own profile.

ENHANCEMENTS

# Private game owners can now restrict entries to a particular class. This will be of particular value in the Le Mans series if you just want to race with GT cars for instance, but applies to the BTCC Touring car and future multi-class championships too.
# Added "offset" dropdown to the race replay with the map (hence KT users only)... this allows you to move the cars around the circuit and position them optimially for a better view (previously it was difficult to tell what was going on with start-finish straights in the horizontal plane).
# Checks are now made when you select driver characteristics to avoid situations where not enough available characteristics were selected. It will also warn you if you select too many (previously the last ones you selected would be ignored).
# Provided a little more information to private game creators on the game creation page about min/max players, class size etc.

BUG FIXES AND CHANGES

# The "target position" dropdown in multi class racing originally referred to the overall position... now it refers to your position in class
# Bugfix where a special extra bonus when passing slower cars on wrong tyres was not being applied.
# Team password protect time increased to 20 minutes.

And we are not done yet...

Some nice features

Thought I'd play around with a STR in my final F106 Public before the 07 set is released.

My teammate and I qualified 2nd and 3rd, only 0.001 appart, and only 0.006 (and 0.007 respectivly) behind the pole car (typically a BMW).

Unfortunatly we both only finished 3rd and 4th, but that means that STR are leading the constructors battle :P

Ooh, user search. Now we get to see how many multi accounts everyone has! :D

I counted six or seven for Danny G. >_> Also, you people should have more creative last names. Too many Davidsons and Smiths and whatnot :dopey:

But seriously, update and impending carsets = awesome.

As promised here is the second part of the update... specifically for te Le Mans Endurance Series. The carset has not yet been released yet so you wont see these features in game until play this particular series, but we have added a lot of code to the simulation a summary of which is listed below.

Added damage repair slider for Le Mans series... player can now have control to make car pit instead of lapping really slowly. The time spent in pits is relative to amount of repair work that needs to be done.

Due to the nature of endurance racing, the chance of having an outright retirement is much less - instead there are significant damage penalties, but these can be repaired if enough time is spent in the pits; this is complimented by the new damage slider. Essentially, this allows more cars to stay in the race instead of retiring - which may be more interesting for gameplay but is also more realistic for LMES.

Added virtual codrivers, extra "drivers" each with a different characteristic from the ones you chose - these can be placed in the car at different phases of the race

Added driver fatigue, causing slower lap times and risk of crashing, which can be resolved by changing co-drivers

Added night racing which has small influences on the underlying race code. At the moment you simply see a different set of weather graphics during night time running, but we may make the difference more stark at some point.

A small addition is the listing of the winning driver now in each class at the end of each race.

Ooo... my next public is DEFINITELY Le Mans

Go Brad.

Too many Davidsons.

 Well the "Steve Davidson" is my father and "Sharne Davidson" is my sister, neither play anymore though. Also I have played against one of the Matt Davidsons, I won.

EDIT: Sweet find there Sharky, Le Mans series sounds awesome, damage slider is a brilliant idea.

CCY, LeeBee, Si, check your BATracer profiles :p

Cheers love!

Jef: I dunno, more games is always nice, and it's not like 2002 is being neglected because 2006 is available..
