That got me thinking, so I created "The Leveller" thread to try and confirm/dispell the myth of the dreaded Leveller. Jules (or was it Spooks?) came along and said, no, there wasn't any Leveller, it's just coincidence you screw up as you're about to win.

There is some leveling-factor present: If you lead a race by a mile, and not thanks to some magic strategic coup, you're most likely with some higher sliders - automatically increasing risks of a breakdown :\

I wouldn't call second place by a mile and a half a disaster... I'm currently getting the **** beat out of me by a Super Aguri, while I'm in a Ferrari. He's got twice the points!

Woohoo. I won my first championship on batracer. Thanks to Appie for sticking with me thoroughout what was a tough season for him. I won even though there is still 1 race left. :sly:
