It doesn't seem to run as smoothly as BF2 on my comp. But I still managed to get a game in yesterday. Wouldn't mind meeting up with some GTP'ers for a game of either soon.
 
It ran so smooth on high for me, with 2x AA and 8x AF I think.
 
what are the best places to hit tanks and mechs? sometimes i can take them out with a few and sometimes its like i'm not doing any damage.... i havent gotten a chance to play much and find such things out.
 
can anyone recommend me a fast free (no registration) server to download the demo from because the offical EA one and the gamespot one are rammed and going so slowly because of demand... I wana use my 10MBPS!

Ok cool. I need every drop of RAM i can get when I play BF2, so I won't be able to run X-fire at the same time. If you stick to the same server, i'll take a note of it and join you. Try to find one that isn't too full. I'm not sure I have you on X-fire. What is your username?

I did turn up! I couldn't see you there! I joined the server IP that was on your X-Fire.
 
I have been waiting for the game for a long time. Has any one pre-downloaded the game while you wait for 10/17?
 
I'm not getting BF2142 now, because I will not be able to balance out 2 games like BF2 and BF2142.
 
Not sure if it's just my system, but those of you that have played both, have you noticed a smoother performance with BF2142? *shrugs* I really enjoy the heavy mechs... :D

Definately. I'm not having any of the problems I was having with BF2.
 
Yeah BF2 was poorly optimised, this is perfect.

Last night I had an awesome time in a gunship! They're so much easier to fly in this game. I just flew around spraying missiles at everyone lol.
 
I can never stay connected to the EA master server. I play for 10min and get disconnected everytime. Other than that I have no issues. Great game so far.
 
I had an awesome game tonight playing as commander. I moved the Titan to the middle of the map and bombarded the silos with those guns on the titan (not the machine guns on the top, those ones that are sort of like weak artillery).
 
Full release in about 2 hours if memory serves me correct.
