Reason, Rush. On rush the mortar is all kinds of trouble even if you don't get many kills it weakens you and forces you to move before a second comes in. On attack that means you can stop a defender holding one spot, on defend it means you can spam a choke point. It doesn't exactly rack up the kills but not killing doesn't necessarily mean you're not helping. In certain situations the mortars can become way OP especially if there's more than 1 but on other modes they quickly lose their effectiveness.

This is exactly when I am grinding to unlock Mortars. Just 10,000points away now too. They have changed some matches on Rush, just because they narrow down the lines of attack / defence.

For most of them you have to. Ive only got the Scarred Veteran left to do which will take awhile.

Well obviously not the specific kit only weapons. But for 50 headshots, you can use Assault rifles to get the headshots, or engineer to get suppression assists
 
Just went 59-24 Rush with a score of 10,866. With medals it was 18000

Followed by a match going 60-7 with 52000 total combat score. 9k combat, 10k ribbons, 2 10k medals, 1 service star, and 1 recon service star 10k.

So I just unlocked the M26 MASS. God I feel guilty with it. Got 7 kills with it with 11 shots fired. So now it shows I have 163% accuracy with it. Watch out everyone! :trouble:

You can also use the ctv station or whatever it's called (I can't remember) in the tank. It's the final unlock where a third person can get in.

Well Canister Shell is my next unlock, than I think after that is CITV Station? Probably be more able to get designations that way. The SOFLAM is ancient, all a tank needs to do is just hide behind one of the 100+ buildings on the map. :p

Yeah I found it easy in the tank. Took about three minutes I would imagine at Karg Island. With all the heli's buzzing around and tanks on the ground it was pick your target. If only the driver had the guided shell we would have racked up some kills.

:lol: The PDWs served me well today as did the 870 :P

O I almost forgot, I already got the 10 MCOM arms for the PP19 and I just need to spend another hour in Karkand maps.

I'm doing quite well in the Sv98 just got a service star for it i hit 190 marksman aswell pretty sweet

I've ditched the DAO in favour of the 870. The DAO has no stopping power and the reload time is ridiculous.

Which kit unlocks the USAS or SAIGA? Amazing how such useless weapons in BC2 are now monsters.

I hardly used the DAO12 but I thought it was decent. I can't stand the slug rounds now because you can't aim the 🤬 things! You get the USAS and the SAIGA for level up not by using kits. The USAS is a pretty high level gun while the SAIGA is mid level. I always liked the SAIGA in BC2
but never tried it out on BF3.

Saiga level 34, USAS level 43.
I'm about 5000 pts away from 34 so i'll try that next time i'm on.
As for the USAS I know it has stopped me in my tracks many a time. I want one :lol:.

I can't wait until they nerf the USAS frag rounds. I hope it just becomes rubber bullets and it's sole purpose is suppression

I think its 2 hours on Strike at Karkand map only and not the 4 maps overall. The PP-19 is not all that good honestly. Its got a 55 round clip but takes like 20 to kill one person.

Yea for the first one it's in any Karkand map but for Scarred Veteran you need to spend two hours in two individual maps. And that's a let down, I though the PP19 was gonna be decent as all the Karkand weapons are IMO.
 
I can't wait to unlock the USAS. Only a couple levels left to go.

Today I torched someone's T-UGS for the vehicle kill. Awesome.

Just like in Battlefield 2. The antitank class was stuck with pea shooters and shot guns only good for short range.

I managed a 526 marksman tonight.

Up the tower on Kharg, no-one can see you, you can see everyone.
I found a nice how-to on yootoob that showed me how to get up there, it's an awesome place to snipe. I got the marksman using the QBU 88, now that is my type of rifle.......

Can someone explain what I do with the SOFLAM please?
I deploy it, target some stuff, it goes orange and lox on, then what?

I am such a noob......

The soflam is to be used with a javelin

Today, I died twice from nothing, It was at the beginning of the game when somebody spawned on me then I fell down and died from absolutely nothing!
 
No, I don't even have it, and i actually kinda like it, because it requires you to outthink the other person..... Or you just stuff an RPG @ them in the choke point.
 
Frag rounds have to much range. There is no reason a shotgun should still have instakill power at range like the USAS does.
