You know, I love the G3 but I think it needs to be nerfed. Its so damn powerful and so accurate. I've stopped playing recon because of it.

That coupled with a G18 and a M26 MASS I'm a brute force against infantry.
 
Its pretty good but then so are the SKS and M39. Its powerful but has high recoil and only 20 rounds to play with. I think there are still some other pretty good options for the assault class as well.

I assume, that I have to lase targets with the SOFLAM, and someone else using their assault or engineer class, uses a Javelin to hit whatever I lased.... right?

If the laser designated target is a tank, then the Javelin will enter top attack mode and be much more devastating, i.e. about twice as much damage. Without a laser designation, the Javelin uses direct attack mode and does around the same damage as the unguided rockets.

I have barely used the L85A2, but what little I have used it so far I have liked. I like the slower fire rate and that makes the weapon recoil very manageable.

I think the G3A3 is fine as is. The G3A3 already struggles in close quarters compared to the other assault rifles because of the slow fire rate. Now you may have stumbled on a very good combination with the G3A3, G18, and M26; but that combination should not warrant a nerf for the G3A3.

I'm working on that trophy just because I want all the ribbons :) I need to win a game of squad rush which is no big deal but I just can't get the stationary weapon ribbon or mcom defender. I've resorted to c4 on mcoms and hiding out near them. I've gotten 2 mcom defender bonuses many times but never the third for the ribbon...

Those are some that I had trouble wit h aside squad rush ribbons which I got today. Yesterday while I was going for MCOM arms I got it after a few games, the defender ribbon I mean. The emplacement one I got really early on in conquest on Caspian Border.

Since last poetic I unlocked the L96 and got the Like a Boss trophy for getting a kill with the Skidloader.

90% of the time I have it in semi auto. Probably the only way to fire it accurately past 10 yards. But when it is in semi auto and you fire controlled shots its dead accurate.

Yeah its probably just the combo. Definetly infantry focused.

I tried last night and had a guy lined up but than both a tank and an apc. Blew up near me so basically my screen went orange. :lol: So than I exited and got the hell out of there.

Last time I used the SKS I didn't like the feel of it. Plus its not assault so I wouldn't be able to use the M26.

:lol: it's scary being in it, it's got such a limited view.
 
I play recon a lot so I can use the mobile spawn. My kit is an SKS with holo sight and grip. Its pretty much an assault class at this point. I don't need an under barrel really.

It's also pretty good with the Kobra sight but I also used the Holo on it.

Being a G3 I can't/don't use an under barrel.
 
In squad deathmatch on nashahr canals, if you hide in the container area, and just keep runnin around, with a semi or full auto shotgun and a g18, it's pretty sweet
 
Had a crazy, hard fought Rush match in Metro yesterday... Got really annoyed by the attacking team spamming Shotguns... So pulled out the Saiga with Assault kit and showed them I can play that game too :)... I hardly EVER use shotguns, but it was necessary in this match... We got pushed back to the last MComs eventually, but we held them off long enough to win in the end :D Love these types of matches... Seemed like it lasted forever...

Tonight I will fully support you, sry that I was much of a help yesterday. If you want to snipe, I can either be Assault with medic kit or support with ammo. What would you prefer!?

@Blitz, It was great yesterday on Metro Rush. With you in squad I get really good score. It's nice to know that you are playing BF3 as it was meant to be played. That goes also for other of my PSN BF3 friends :-), it makes BF3 even more enjoyable :-)

theewar and Fairplay were with us as well, although theewar joined Fairplay later on and I stayed in a squad with you. Gameplay was too hectic to send you a message to join up with them :p

Yeah could you be the Assault kit with medic also I will need another mate to come aswell if that's possible playing as support and whoever has the Mortar kit :tup

Ok, since i don't have mortar kit, I'll be assault with medic kit. Btw. Kit in Croatian language means whale. So I'll be assault whale :lol:

There no need to send me message, if you leave squad, i will notice it, and join you if there is a free spot. It takes long to go to XMB and check the messages when in game :-(.

I now understand what the SOFLAM is for, and I can see that even just picking a good spot and deploying it, is possibly going to help the team, so I will be doing that.
Having said that, I just unlocked the MAV last night, before I switched off.
Was going to give it a try too, but when I went into what would have been my final round, the game locked up.

Might be on later, just got this new car and a Christmas card given to me free by Polyphony Digital, so I think I'll be on GT5 for a bit......

True... I went straight online when I got BF3... Didn't try the single player until two or three weeks later. I do have to admit I was impressed by it. Dice did a good job 👍
