I was wondering why I wasn't getting ribbons lol.

Something was up.with that server. You guys were all level 2. I couldn't use my assignment guns either. Realized it about halfway through the round. I was running the stock engi gun with no attachments most of.the round.

Oops.

I turned my mic off because I thought it might be to loud with my speaker placement.

You certainly dished out some death and destruction in the tank on the rounds we had at Damavand Mike. :lol:
For a while there I was in the third seat and all I could do was spot, sit back and smile. On a couple of occasions I jumped out for a kill and then got back in so I didn't feel left out. :sly:

It may be my imagination but I tried the Thermal Camo for the tank on a couple of the heli maps like Caspian and Kharg and it seemed to help keep me alive for a bit longer. Pesky engineers with RPG's are still a huge threat though. A gunner seems like he's a necessity now.

Also it seems that after the patch it's just random now on whether the mic works or not. :grumpy:

That round at Metro was a base rape and a half! Been on the receiving end a few times so it was nice to be on the "giving" side for a change :D.

:lol: on the tanks at Damavand. A ton of guys where just standing around in the open trying to...I dont know what. I see you have switched to the HMG - better than the LMG?

You did pretty well at Tehran; I thought going around the back to C was going to be hairy but it ended up pretty much giving out team the momentum to dominate.

:grumpy: on the mics - thought I was doing something wrong, seems not.

I'm aware but why would a studio and publisher close off potential opportunities? Leave all your options open.

Again I'm doubting it but if it is happening it will be with half a studio. An EA executive was giving a speech a couple months back and let it slip that BF4 is in early development for the next gen. Personally I want the whole studio dedicated on one thing at a time. Don't get me wrong I loved BC2 as much as everybody here but I don't see it being as likely.

As you said I've also been on the receiving end so it was nice to give it out.
Credit to the guys on the other team that at least stuck around and fought it out though. Often the majority of a teams quits when it's that bad.

After re-reading the patch notes today I forgot that Dice had upped the damage and ROF of the HMG. First try with it today, initial impressions are good. Still slower ROF than the LMG obviously but if you get your shots quickly on target it does kill quickly. Shreads the Humvee's and the Vodnik's to pieces as well. :D

I occasionally try that tactic. If it comes off well the enemy are on the backfoot right from the start. I noticed at the change of round that four guys with the same tag joined the opposition who were all 20-50 colonels. Strangely though even before we got to C some of their guys were still just coming out of their deployment :odd:. Not sure what happened to them but once we dispersed of them they were really on the back foot.

Yeah not sure why, I've tried private servers, Dice servers and Ea servers it just seems totally random. Often I'll quit and find a server where the mic works but because we were doing well I toughed it out. :sly:

Good to finally play with a bunch of you guys. Tho seperate back to back sessions. We could have had 2 solid squads.

If I only checked my message list and got you request gundalini.

And I can confirm that it is possible to MAV kill someone and not have the MAV die. :guilty:
 
I can confirm it's possible to get onto the top of the radio tower at Caspian Border, but who would want to since it falls before the end of the match. :D

Any recon would be useless up there as it's nearly impossible to see anyone on the ground and SOFLAM would only be useful against air vehicles up there as well.

It's also pretty awesome using mines and C4 to launch the EOD bot across the map.

I was on some of the lower decks on the tower and I got some 490+ point headshots. I took a test shot to see the drop.

Lol seriously, sometimes I enter in a server I pick a jet(without killing anyone) and bam "You have been banned from this server"

Guessing that you took a jet that the admin wanted and his powers got to him.

On my server, we have only kicked two people and it's been for not playing fair. Like... trapping the opposing team in their base when we have all the flags instead of backing off and letting them get a flag or two.
 
I'll never go in to a private one (well, random private anyway), just stick with the EA ones.

Anyways, someone in here has plauded the SG553, so I thought I'd give it a go. Yep, that's a great gun. QBZ has been dropped.
 
Yeah I've been staying away from private servers. Except the game gatyr found that ended up6 on 6 for 67 minutes on damavand.
 
Sounds have definitely changed. My PS3 stereo headphones ran out of juice and when I changed the sound from war tapes to TV, I noticed the TV sounds were improved.
 
Played against a guy with 66 stars on his USAS. At least he has switched over to buckshot now and wasn't using frags.

I've seen a guy with 100 stars on a USAS. This was before the patch, back in February. Also seen about 5 100 star colonels as well. 👎
 
Came across my first USAS user since the patch today. Killed him before he could even react lol

What are War Tapes? I've seen thought and got very confused.

If you rent a server, yes.

You can set Tickets from 10% to 500%. Official servers are always 100%.

Edit: "War Tapes" is the highest audio quality. You need surround sound for it, otherwise it will destroy the speakers. At least, that's what it was reported to do in BC2.
