I'm not totally convinced about the helicopters, they might be a bit to easy to shoot down now unless the gunner has a set of flares and is using them as well it just keeps the choppers a little inaccessible for new players but that's not a huge deal for me.

Seems like they have tried to emphasise the 'work as a team in vehicles' theme and tried to make one man band's really ineffective. Which is consistent with the infantry team based concept too, so I can understand it's implementation.

Or if your the gunner, get out to repair chopper and the pilot then leaves you behind. :grumpy:

I think you're right though as I has a quick look last night and that seems to be the case. I was actually going to make another profile to see what happened but I wasn't sure if you wanted anyone fiddling with it.

Enjoyed those couple games we played the other day Gundalini. We were together for the first two and we killed them, but then on Metro we were baseraping so I switched sides. Got through to C a couple times but was never able to hold it. Still beat most of the guys on your team even though we lost by some 500 tickets. Even when we held C for about half a minute no one spawned on it and you guys took it back straight away. Good moment though when I shot two of your dudes and you came up behind me and knifed me.

I was wondering why you and your mate switched.
I tried to switch over with you but at the time it said "The server would become unbalanced". Considering the ticket lead was about 600 odd at the time, a bit unfair I thought.

I've maxed my favourite server list with -[DICE]- servers, you can search -[D for the real DICE ones (the others are EA and can't be favourited oddly) make sure not to be tricked by someone copying the name though.

Tried the idea of finding and empty server to try learn choppers....which worked. Well, not the learning bit, the empty server bit. I can manouver around in the air no problem, but when it comes time to "attack" a ground target, I quickly lose control and end up flying into trees/ the ground.

Had a game on Caspian later on, where someone had the SOFLAM out. So I jav'd about 4 kills - and yes, flares do not seem to distract painting at all :D.

If anyone remembers the Chopper Gunner killstreak in Black Ops, that's exactly what we were doing. My friend slowly circled C flag, I was the gunner and we had another friend repairing and RPGing a tank if needed.

So fun :D

Yea. You can create presets or map and mode rotation. You may also be able to adjust tickets and such.
All's I ask is that it is left ranked.


@Mike. That's my biggest problem as well. Attacking while flying and losing al spacial awareness. I think learning my throttle control is helping. Try an empty canals server in the z11. There is tons of bridges to practice flying under. For aiming while hovering, the tank in the hanger is a nice practice point. Disable it from one side, hover over building while turning 180 and kill it from other side. The 2 transport vehicles at the spawn pint are good for higher speed aiming.
To the left of the ground spawn point there is a bunch of wharehouses. These are good for working on tight space turns.

At least in my experience. I think it helped alot last night. After bit I felt pretty confident. But I also have not mastered helis yet.

RPK-74M is incredible now. Very little recoil. The 200 round magazine is just ridiculous.

It's a great starter LMG; super stable platform to put sustained fire. Just pray you don't walk around a corner and find yourself staring down the barrel of anything that isn't a pistol/ AK, as its slow ROF and small calibre = deadness.
 
Just had something really strange happen.
Playing at Canals I was talking to my mate who was flying a chopper when he told me two of the opposition spawned into his chopper.
On the minimap his chopper was orange but I could still see his green name. He said he was getting shot at by both teams.
Next time I died he landed at our deployment and I shot one of the guys but before I got the other guy he must have realisd what happened and shot my mate and took the chopper.
I minute or so later we both at the same time lost connection to the playstation network, shame really because it was a fun round.

Hollidog, you and your mate were doing quite well there. 👍 Your mate now has my tags that he took just after I got you. You did clean me up a few times in the Lav though.

@ Caz, to answer your previous question it looks like an admin can change everything including the name. One thing though I tried to join the server to practice choppering but it said the server couldn't be accessed :confused:

@ Blitz69 nice to see you join in the fun at Firestorm even though you got me a few times :lol:.

Hi all. Been trolling this thread for ages now and would like to play with you guys. My psn is BigJas1162. I suck at most things especially jets so feel free to add me and my tags if anyone has any space to spare. No mic though sorry ;)

I ran across an interesting server while I was on tonight, it was knives-only on Op Metro. I didn't play through the whole match as the tickets were around 1000, but it was a lot of fun. Anybody up for something like that on the GTP server this weekend? I could run the whole thing...

I was on a knife only server with 500% health. So when someone shot at you, a whole LMG mag did about 10% damage to your health. The only way to kill was by taking their tags.
 
Don't like the sound of that, going to be horribly messy in a face-off.

Good fun last night, realised about 3-4 GTPers (Drag, Patrick, smuffy and someone else, I think) had joined us. Up against a tough lobby, they had some good jet pilots who were constantly taking out armour, though we did have some success, more so when the GTP lot joined and the rest of our team was PTFO.

Patrck - Good heli action with you on Oman, good flying, I much prefer to be gunner.

Tried the M60 out last night, nice, bit of vertical recoil, but not a lot of horizontal.

I'm baffled at why I couldn't jump on the server yesterday.
Host couldn't be found????/ I'm the owner. ........
Was gonna hop on and practice flying before I went out. So instead found an almost full 1500 ticket sienne map. Figuring its probably half over or so. Had about an hour to kill while waiting for someone to get to my house. Yeah, 104 minute round ;). We were down 500-200 when my buddy showed up but I didn't want to quit out. Brought my controller out on the porch while we pregamed and just randomly shot rpgs at b every. Pulled minutes so I wouldn't get kicked. Got 2 kills doing that and a disable lol. Without really playing the last 15-20 minutes I still went 50+/40+ kd with 25+ ribbons.


Was a good match despite losing 400 or so to nothing. No team ever dominated for to long and I got alot of practice covering c which I usually avoided like the plague. Found a spot I have never seen anyone in that allows you to see down the steps to A and down the tunnel towards the spawn point covering the stairs to the building at C along with most of the courtyard. Racked up a few kills but didn't want to camp there and overuse the spot. Got a couple double kills with enemies trying to come up through A and turned around face first into the wall real quick to mess with kill cam. Worked well cause I double killed they same two guys trying the same thing a couple minutes later ;) ropes.
 
Servers working fine today. Tho I wont be on much if at all. To much yard work to do.


I thought about gadgets only.
Repair tool / bot / defib / knife.
Unranked with low player health ;)

Tried to get onto the server last night and again a couple of hours ago, both times it said "host unavailable".
 
I hate costum servers so much, the admin team is losing and then he decided to move pretty much the entire winning team to his but he lost anyway :/
