Wow below radar is broken on scout helis! I was a foot off the ground and the reader said 1 on the HUD in the helicopter and yet 3 AA missiles were launched?

That's because its I set up my PSN for the GT5 WRS and am now stuck with it :indiff:.

Isn't it weird how gun preferences work. I trialled the M249 again, as well as the M240B today. The M249's ROF make it the best LMG in super CQC and the M240B has superior ROF versus the PKP without sacrificing as much stopping power as the M249. Also, both those LMG feel lighter to use, which is an aiming benefit.

But I still like using the PKP more, even though it is on the balance of things, inferior to those LMG. Weird.

^ I tried the MG36 yesterday on Support... Kinda like it, just need to unlock more attachments for it. Now I can put my M249 to rest.... ;)

As far as I know there is no way to actually ban weapons. Haven't dug around to much with the server options yet.

You can't ban weapons. If you kick someone for using a weapon you don't like EA will remove the server. That being said, every server I've been on with a message saying not to use a specific weapon, I've not seen the "banned" weapon used so you could just do that.

Will have a go on the server later, rules sound interesting. That's if I can actually connect to it. Tried to play BF3 yesterday, managed to get onto one server for the last couple of mins of a match and was disconnected between rounds and couldn't get online again.

MG36 and M249 fire the same calibre round as it happens...

They will remove the server if you kick or ban someone from a server for using a weapon that you have listed not to use? I don't know about that.. Isn't the point of renting a server for the purpose of making a custom game mode that you want to be ran and to be played the way you want.. I don't think they will remove the server for doing this... You see people getting banned out of "no snipers, no campers, only knives" rooms all the time but the server remains.. Not saying that you are wrong.. I just haven't seen that happen.. And if I'm paying for a sever i want it ran the way i want.. That just doesn't make sense... You get what i am saying?

Really? I felt the MG36 had a bit more stopping power and less recoil. I'm going to equip it for a while and see how it pans out... Im bored of the M249 now and it has lost its shine a bit after the patch :)

Yes i have noticed that too... I have started working on the M60 it has seemed to be improved since the patch..

I've seen quite a few people on other forums saying EA have removed their server for kicking players for that reason. Apparently there's something in the terms and conditions. Remember, this is EA we're talking about.

I think they buffed it to bring it in line with the PKP, except the reload time is over a second longer. Looking at the stats on symthic it looks like the lower rate of fire makes it more controllable than the PKP, though, but with the same damage. Pre-patch the PKP was the only 'Light' MG that could kill in three non-headshots, now the M60 and M240 do too, I think.

I quite like the MG36 also, I haven't looked in to the stats for it to see why but the slightly lower recoil and quicker reload made it much more user friendly on the move for me.

I take back my initial worries about the patch as well, just had some really good games with a friend with some truly hilarious moments as well. Last play of the session on Caspian I dive out of a helicopter (full health chopper) to let it plough in to a building to end an enemy with destruction as the thing falls down, shoot his buddy out back then spot an enemy tank running away full speed for repairs (it was disabled just as they stopped), I charge up kill one guy as he runs from it and steal the tank mid repair the engineer panics for a second then tries to tool me as I limp away so I get out as his squad mate spawns, spray like mad (the engineer is now repairing the tank for me :sly:) grab my pistol to finish the engineer and finish the least smooth grand theft auto in history 👍. Trolling is fun in other games, but it's on a whole new level in Battlefield.

Yeah I've even been having issues with jets. At firestorm yesterday was being locked on and was flying literally a few feet from the ground.

I got shot out of a jet by level 0 yesterday but he or she had what looked like the advanced weapons for the jet... I guess someone got the shortcut packs and created a new account
 
I wont be on much this weekend. Anyone I gave admin to feel free to adjust maps and such as you wish.

You can create presets for map rotation/mode within the server options. Just name it with your psn name.

If anyone has any requests let be know ill change the server before I head out for the night. ( around 7 est)
 
I played rush last night with zoom and another guy. Was harsh there for a bit. Lost a lost of mcoms right at the end. One game I was 3rd MVP with 30 kills. MVP had only 7.
 
Can one of you guys I made admin please see what you can and cannot.adjust. and post back.
I'm assuming everything but name can be changed.

I'm heading home real quick before I go out for the night, just wanna make sure you guys can mess with.things over the weekend if I'm not around.

I must admit, at first I was a bit dubious about the patch, but I think they have actually done a really good job with this recent big patch. Sure, some thing are irritating (claymores disappearing after death, 5 second deploy are the main ones), but I think they struck a good balance:

- Tanks can still dish death - as long as you don't try to be a one man army and rather hang closer to infantry
- Helios are now not messengers of doom, as GTA missiles now empty the sky. However a skilled pilot can still survive
- Frag rounds seems less frequent now, but are still used as much as any other load out

All the other weapons tweaks just keep it a bit fresh and encourage some new combos. Overall, job well done DICE 👍

However, have EA switched all all regular servers now!? It's almost impossible to locate "EA" servers anymore - 99.9% of the searches turn up private ones :grumpy:

Only thing I would add is I hate instant start.
Lack of regular servers does suck.
Once our server emptied out I had a hard time finding a non MAX EVERYTHING OMG BEst SeRVER eVAH!! Server. Ended up bouncing from server to server for a while. Then some time on gtp flying around alone on canals. Trying to figure my flaws out [ too much throttle] and target shooting parked vehicles.

Totally agree. Its like EA just sold all their servers to everyone else to excuse themselves from having to run any. If you just want to play normal CQ on the normal map rotation its very hard to find a game. And then considering that I freeze out of half of the lobbies I play in, I dont get very far most nights. So if I join your game, then log out and back in again, you know whats happened. :banghead:

Enjoyed those couple games we played the other day Gundalini. We were together for the first two and we killed them, but then on Metro we were baseraping so I switched sides. Got through to C a couple times but was never able to hold it. Still beat most of the guys on your team even though we lost by some 500 tickets. Even when we held C for about half a minute no one spawned on it and you guys took it back straight away. Good moment though when I shot two of your dudes and you came up behind me and knifed me.
 
Couldn't agree more Mike, I think alot of my worries were just placebo because I just wasn't on form with my game and little changes were just throwing me a touch and I was playing blame game as I didn't really see what I was doing wrong. Today and tonight have totally wiped out any worry I had though. I'm not totally convinced about the helicopters, they might be a bit to easy to shoot down now unless the gunner has a set of flares and is using them as well it just keeps the choppers a little inaccessible for new players but that's not a huge deal for me.

I've maxed my favourite server list with -[DICE]- servers, you can search -[D for the real DICE ones (the others are EA and can't be favourited oddly) make sure not to be tricked by someone copying the name though.
