No tax anymore in NY. Used to have it then they dropped it.
 
I read that all PS3 was getting the new expansion today. Why do I have to wait the longest? We got B2K a week early I shouldn't have to wait. Even the BF3 wikia said so. I'm not buying the stupid premium service just so I can play it.

Well that's obviously what they're trying to make you do, so either give in and buy it and get CQ now, or don't buy it and don't play it now. Also why do you think you're waiting the longest? PC and Xbox users without Premium will get it the week after you.

That might be the first time I've genuinely laughed out loud at something on this forum.

I've been looking at it seems their assertion that Premium would involve 20 new weapons is inaccurate, given that they're including B2K in when they talk about all the new stuff you get. B2K and CQ have 10 weapons each, yet on the Premium purchase page it says Aftermath and End War will both have new weapons... On the same page it says there's Premium Content every month that isn't a DLC release month and Bonus Content every other non-DLC release month. It might be easier if I just shared the link and said 'look at the table near the bottom'.

Look at the table near the bottom. It seems that the Premium Content is the knife, dogtags, camo and weapon camo, but the Bonus Content is a mystery. Note that they have separate rows for videos and strategy guides so it might actually be good stuff.
 
I just facepalmed so hard at that problem with buying through PSN/XBLM and getting charged twice. That's pathetic. Though I assume there'll be no issue with refunds in that instance.

I remembered I've already got £15 in PSN wallet. Drag - I saw you playing Conquest Domination, so I presume you've either got CQ or Premium? Early thoughts? I quite like the idea of throwing C4 around stairs on the new maps.

Had a go at SQDM tonight (VEXD hasn't finished that assignment, so we jumped on, squad of 4), I still maintain that all the DM variants are total tosh. Random spawn points do not work. THe L85 is a very good AR, but I don't think it's worth that much arse!

Loving CQ at the moment i have to be fare.

All of the maps are godd in my opinion. Donya fortress, Ziba tower and Scrapmetal are intense. Operation 925, is quite a bit bigger and spread out but still good fun.

Only unlocked Spas 12 and the HK417 so far.

Both are the best of their respective groups.

imo.

Best non automatic shotgun = Spas 12.
Best Semi-automatic Sniper rifle = Hk417.
 
Should i get Premium or not? I propably getting all DLC:s but the price of the Premium (49,95€) scares me.

It's the same price if not a little cheaper than all the DLCs. You're just choosing between pay up front or pay as you go.

I applied server settings, then realized there was 24 people in it and one in the waiting room playing on Oman. Hope they went premiums :)

Pics of armored kill, wich show 2 gunner seats n the AC-130:drool:, but no pilot & co pilot. So its AI
controlled but 2 gunner seats for players to defend it.

Looks like they have changed contrast levels in some of those pictures.

They don't have that grainy, blurry, blue filter on them that BF3 has.

Has anyone noticed a difference post-patch? Probably just retouched photos but I would love for the game to look like that without running an injector that creates a 5-10 FPS hit in performance.

There was something in the premium video on battlelog that they wanted to make it look brighter and more vivid. With the good bit ive played i would have to agree to.

I forgot, but do we have to play on the cq maps to unlock the new weapons or does playing any maps count towards unlocks. such as for the AUG a3 you need 30 AR kills and 10 squad revives. can i carry these out on any map or only cq.

Ok so a couple of people have seen me playing and here's the lowdown so far from what I've done.

Conquest Domination is essentially domination from COD, on the CQC maps only it's CQ on crack, the flag caps are super fast in comparison and the game moves fast with random or squad spawns allowed. The spawns so far seem totally unpredictable, which is good as it stops one team stomping another to easily but it's not impossible of course. Overall the mode works well with the maps. I know nothing of Gun Master... yet

The maps themselves are intimidating at first, very complex with alot of dangerous corridors and turns. With the random spawns and size of the maps it's a nasty place to be at first and I wasn't having much fun. Given more time however it suddenly starts to come together, but it's not like the Battlefield we know. It's a very different experience, super snappy and reactions based but this creates a unique Battlefield experience which I for one am happy with so far. Definitely not for all though, but I am enjoying the change of pace. Unlikely Metro and such stalemates seem difficult instead being swapped for frantic sprints around the map with action around every corner potentially.

Weapon wise the SPAS is incredible, as is the M417. The AUG seemed a bit meh though which was disappointing but I need to give it more time.

My main complaint is having to unlock this stuff via specific challenges. I can't stop thinking about them and it's making me play like an ass (running around with an RPG/M320 like a jackass just for the assignments is probably super annoying to the enemy but I can't help it as I want those guns).

The main reason I brought it up was the foliage on that large shot of the armored kill map. It is insanely green and definitely not possible without correction.

The difference between the original filters and contrast vs an overlay injector is quite astounding. I never would have thought BF3 on ultra (pc) looked bad.... until I began using an injector. It is simply clearer, crisper, and much more lively/organic.

Here's to hoping for contrast and color updates.

Well i dont have a pc worthy of gaming on so i will never get the satisfaction of playing Bf3 in all its glory. As i said however, i do feel a difference in the CQ maps in that it isnt dark and grubby as the original maps. And the video i saw (i think it's the one exclusive for premium members released today mentioned some thing about it).
