Also on the PC config., the Pc's at Gamescom came from Alternate and costed about 600€, that was enough to max it out. I'm sure next week there is going to be a special offer. You don't need to shovel out 2000€ just for BF3.


I preordered it in UK (PC), sadly I won't have it for the first week end...:indiff::sick::nervous:, but I pay half of what the rest in the continental Europe pays 29£ (33€) againt 65-70€

I know Alternate... Great site... And if I were to buy a PC I'd do it from there... Also its not that I would shell out 2.000 bucks for a PC just for BF3... The reasoning would be to future proof it a bit and I'd also utilize it for photo editing, which can also be demanding on specs... :)

^ I got a 1300€ PC from them (the pieces) and it's now 4 years old and just upgraded the gfx card and it's still rocking everything. So I understand 👍

It was hard for me to believe they were running that cheap of a pc at max settings. Here is a report from gamescom. http://www.modmywhat.com/article/Ov...-the-Battlefield-3-booth-at-GamesCom-2011/858

I really don't think they would refer to 600$ PCs as high end, and according to this guy, he had to run the game at the lowest settings and still wasn't getting great FPS.

After saying that, I really have no idea who wrote this or how legit it is.

And reading "your" article it seems it was also a driver problem.

It was just to say that you don't need an exessive budget to play BF3.

You sayed they maxed it out with a 600$ pc. There's a big difference between maxing it out and playing it at low settings and low res. You will need a big time 1500$ or more pc to even come close to maxing it out at any decent resolution.

I just didn't want the person who commented on your post to think they could order that computer and run BF3 at max settings. I really don't think it will run it at medium with any AA or tessalation. I ran it at the highest settings the BETA offered, at 1080p and was getting FPS in the 40s, and my system was alot more capable then the one they are showing. The word is the BETA had no Tessalation even turned on. If that's the case, it will be alot harder to run high settings then what the Beta showed.

Weird... the tweet is gone... there was a guy saying he pre-ordered 28 copies of BF3 for him and his friends so they have no excuse to play CoD. :)
 
Looks incredible, and there is something that really caught my attention:

"Shame, you come to our country to murder us, yet, we are the terrorist."

Their production team must have had a really hard time implementing this line, I do not expect that line in this sort of game. It seems that BF3's story is not going to be so "Michael Bay-ish", something that is really interesting.

Absolutely amazing.

That facial tracking tech they are using is paying off big time! Those cut scenes are Uncharted quality in my opinion. Wow!
 
Just incredible. I saw New York there aswell so it will come as MP(DLC), if not i´ll take a train and knock on DICE´s door in Stockholm :)
 
This is the one game that does not need a single player campaign. That said, it looks amazing and I can't wait to play through the story.

Also... just came across something strange..

Kmart.com is selling some of their games for $6.99. This includes BF3 and MW3.. I didn't cancel my BF3 pre-order for fear of the deal not going through. But I figured I would give MW3 a shot for $8.53 including shipping and tax.

Really can't wait for friday, the first few weeks of playing online on this game is going to be intense, what with people playing the maps for the very first time and trying to find the best camping spots :sly: Looks like I won't be coming out of my room for about 3 years..

Also, that Server browser was always a long time coming.
