I've used both of those and, while the hip fire on the mp7 and mp5k is awesome since it's a PDW after all, I feel that the PDW-R's hip fire is even better. Maybe it was just me getting lucky headshots all the time, but I really like the gun.

Well it does get the hipfire bonus from being a bullpup weapon aswell as being a PDW.

How good is the new pistol? Thinking about going for it.

I don't have the S-TAC, but I use the vanilla M1911 all the time and I can say, the supressor completely ruins the damage in my opinion. Part of the reason why the M1911 is useful is because it can three-shot people at close range. The supressor almost doubles the damage drop off I think. It does look awesome though.

Why is my MP443 Tac still locked....I have no way of unlocking it. How do I get it unlocked? Use the normal MP443?

Sorry misread the question.

If it's the regular one that's locked, you're probably on the US side. You have to get 100 kills with the vanilla M9 and MP443 in order to unlock them for the opposite faction. Like the guy above me said, you should've got the tac light version through leveling up.

It should have unlocked from a level up.

That's the thing. I did that. Never unlocked...

Can someone tell me what the point of a shotgun slug is. You might as well just use a rifle.

It's a one shot kill at around 10 meters, the sniper rifle's can't do that. Yes there's no bullet spread like a normal buckshot, but if your aim's good then you'll rack up the kills. I personally don't use shotguns much, and if i do, I'm using buckshot.

You have to kill 100 opponents with M9/MP443 to unlock given gun for opposite faction. So you didn't do it.

99.68% accuracy with the M26 MASS after 19,305 kills? Doesn't seem legit.

Also, three of his top five weapons are Assault-specific; so how come he has less stars with that class than two of the others?

Might be hacking....

99.68%? Not really that high, I have 116% accuracy with 870mcs.

There is no hacking on consoles in BF3.

Just like there are no 20000hp cars in GT5 ;).

I would not put it past some smart people to have improved their weapon performance. There have been more then a handful of matches where I have experienced incredible kills (by the enemy) in the most implausible circumstances.

It's because you can shoot several people with the spread of a shotgun.

No, it's because of the nature of buckshot and flechette rounds. These shell types fire multiple projectiles for the price of one shell fired. If you look at the 870 for example, it shoots 9 pellets at once in-game when chambered with either of those loads. That has a potential for 900% accuracy if all 9 pellets hit, since the accuracy system is "1 hit per round fired is 100% accuracy". Supposing you fire a buckshot shell and hit a guy with 5 of the 9 pellet, you'll receive 500% accuracy.

There would be no 20000HP cars online in GT5 if the game used BF3 dedicated servers method and not P2P method.

Considering you're playing from Australia, I think lag may be an issue with those crazy deaths.

Sorry for double post.

There are those moments where either the hit detection goes wonky, or bullet damage is nonexistent. I've had moments of hipfire where the spread of the weapon is fully covered by the enemy's body and I see them flinching and blood splattering but they kill me and it shows 100% health on the killcam info.

Probably 45% of the times I die this is exactly what happens.

Oh right.
I knew that :dunce:.

Slugs are very deadly. At close range, they are one shot kills, so long as the slug lands on target. Unlike buckshot or flechette, slugs can reach out a decent distance and still put a hurting on an enemy. However, this is only with the pump action shotguns. The semi-autos do not get the big damage bonus that pump action slugs get.

See Mr. Geez's post.

The amount of experience needed for a service star for each class is different. IIRC, assault requires the most experience for a service star.

From the Battlefield Wikia,

  • Assault service star - 220,000xp
  • Engineer service star - 145,000xp
  • Support service star - 170,000xp
  • Recon service star - 195,000xp

This past Christmas I noticed it but each new DLC seems to bring them and then no one plays the new DLC anymore.

Lag probably... Doesn't seem to happen to me. Maybe here and there. But sometimes you will do damage to them and under killcam it says 100% even though they are less than that. It shos the health at the time they fired the bullit that killed you. So it can be off because your bullets could be in flight.
