Is it just me or is the quality of play deteriorating on this game? I don't see anywhere near as many level 100s running around and although they were frustrating to play against some times they at least played smart. I had a string of games last night wherein I posted a 0 or a 1 in the deaths columns culminating in this gem.

One issue I have had is when I spawn in on teammate, expecting to come out guns blazing suppressing the enemy, the gun doesn't show up on the screen for a good 3-5 seconds. Sometimes long enough for the enemy to kill me. Nothing is more aggravating than that (except maybe that glitch on Damavand where you randomly die while flying the chopper).

That happens to me all the time whenever I add/remove a sight or any other weapon part...

@Speedy Samurai

I'd rather play against Noobs than frickin' Level 100 No-Life's.... no offence to anyone who is a Level 100 Colonel....

culminating in this gem.

I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or not.

You often pull people up for noob stomping and publishing round results, and once in my case, stomping noobs with a tank. I don't see how this is much different.

Because you pwn?

Against noobs? Hell yeah! Who doesn't? I hate Level 100's because every Level 100 has killed me with the same kit over and over again....

The M16A3
-Holo/Kobra/RDS
-Heavy Barrel
-Foregrip

Or

M146

With the same things as the kit above. I have personally never been killed by a Level 100 who switched it up and played logically...

Not saying that ALL of them do this, but, most do.

So are you saying that they are level 100s are noobs who been on the game like crazy?
Because my boy Chris Smoove would call what they're doing "a noob move"..

Not sure, but this made me laugh:

You'll note my comment, of course. I can't remember the last time I played as badly as I did to go 8-15, I'm rarely under a ratio of at least 1 (1.62 average)... Yet we won, decisively at that. Look at the average level of players on my team compared to theirs, were also one man down on their team at the end of the game, and yet we won by 335 tickets.

Then I clicked through their players and found that their top 5 players had a combined total of four, yes four kills with their best weapons yet they had 74 kills with their best vehicles. Their entire team, including people who left the game before the end, had a combined total objective score of a staggering 2250. That's split between 20 people. That's what, 112.5 points on average?

On my team, however, our top 5 had 2275. I realise that's not very high, but when one team can't be bothered to cap flags the opportunities to score objective points are quite slim.

Of course all this analysis is me clutching at straws to make myself feel better for having such a poor ratio, but still!

Battlefield: Where Kill/Death ratios mean nothing.

Eh, I'd say it's useless in absolute terms but means something in relative terms. I guess you mean you can't compare a snapshot of one player's K/D to another player's, right? I'd agree completely because you can't see how the players actually play. If you knew for a fact they both played the exact same way then you'd be able to decide which one was more skilled, but you can't.

But if you use a player's average K/D as a baseline and then look at their K/D in a single game (or individual games over a span of time) it can be a useful way to gauge their performance. I have an average ratio of 1.62 so you can already tell that game was not one of my best.

Of course it helps to know that I was playing Conquest, so staying alive helps your team in addition to capping flags. If it was a Rush game and I was defending, a 0.5 ratio means nothing; I could have defused bomb after bomb and died every time. Maybe I was just running around reviving people. Maybe I killed one guy and died twice in the entire game... But in Conquest, if everyone had a ratio of 0.5, even with all the flags you'd still probably lose.

That's on any shooter. But quite a bit of people I know acts like K/D is the be all end all. I have a .92 K/D on BF3 and a 1.05 on BOII. I'm not a sit back and creep guy. I'll come around the corner and go out guns blazing.

But honestly, I don't care about the k/d. Doesn't get you anything. Plus, its a pretty petty thing to brag about. I just wanna help my team win.

Shame that I have people on my friends list that only plays Call of Booty..er..Duty.

MTAR + 6x scope + Heavy Barrel + Foregrip + Hardcore = death machine. You can shut down a whole sector on Metro all by yourself. Even on normal settings, you can put on an RDS for CQC and wreck face. The 6x scope is really good though.

Might give this a shot, i never really use the engineer class on maps like Metro and Bazaar.

What are your guys view on 'shotguns in Conquest'. I always feel naked using a shotgun in CQ - there just seem so few opportunities to actually use it - on consoles at least. I really want to level up the SPAS, but apart from camping somewhere on Seine or Metro, it feels completely useless on the open maps.

Canals TDM is the place for shotguns. I never use them anywhere else because you're right, they are pretty useless in CQ, and I never use anything else when I'm playing Canals TDM. Maybe if you got the slugs and a good sight you could use it in CQ, but even then you'd do far better with a proper gun.

Hahahaha! I try to be a team player. Even when my mic is off, I try to be smart about if. If I see 2 or 3 people go one way, I take another route and try to flank. No need in all of us dying..

Same here. If I'm playing with friends from real-life, then I use Skype. If it's a random match with random players then I play to help the team... If I want to troll or do a knife/defib challenge, then I make my own squad and lock it...

I'm always sarcastic but my point in that reply to you back then and my post now is the same. Noobs are fodder and you shouldn't be too proud of yourself when you stomp them. I'd rather have close exciting games, than a super high KD from a game that was a spawn rape, or a walkover. Many of the better players have left this game to play something else and it is apparent in the quality of the matches I am experiencing now.

This is true, although I am seeing more 100s that are rocking the AN94 these days. They must have gotten bored of their M16.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll enjoy the game how I choose too 👍.

Whether that means noob stomping or star stomping.

I use the AS VAL w/ Kobra Sight and Extended Mags and a 93R as a secondary.

Yep. Funny thing is, when I get killed by a Level 100 Colonel with an M416 or M16A3 or AN-94, I use they're exact kit against them.... only to hear them rage when I nail 'em at point-blank or across the map.

This guy is an equal-opportunity stomper.

No rank discrimination!

I'm also going to admit, I'd rather have a close game, constantly taking flags and objectives and be biting my nails at the very end than spawn raping.
I've always found spawn raping pretty boring on both ends.

I always seem to end up on the most pathetic excuses for a team recently..

Yep same here. When that happens I simply go MAV killing. Might as well piss a few people on the other team off.

I love the silencer and put it on almost every gun but the Scar-L cannot have it. It kills its stopping power (no pun intended).
