I was on the opposite team of hundley & gators for a match or two. It wasn't pretty on my end. You sirs are truly a force to be reckoned with.
 
Yea it was a blast! My girlfriend bust out laughing when you t-bagged me she had'nt seen it from that point of view before. That match at kharg was frustrating. After that I played a round of rush on davamand and I was one the attacking team until the last set of mcoms and they switched me to the other team " they ruined battlefield"!! This is my biggest pet peave in the game the server wasnt even full. It might just be me but it drives me crazy after I've spent 30mins trying to win the match just to get dumped on the losing team!

I'm getting close to Colonel 100 (currently 98).

Once I get there, I fear that I will lose interest in playing as I will no longer have that goal to reach.

My thoughts are to practise flying the helicopter and jets as I suck at it. This will get me ready for BF4 (unless they change the flight mechanics!).
Or I can just troll the hell out of people for fun.

How do you stay focused after reaching Colonel 100 ?

That's what's happened to me I'm afraid, Since I got to Col 100 I don't feel the urge to play so much anymore. I have the odd game to see if I'm still capable and that's it. I can't complain though. BF3 has got to have had the most value in play time I've ever got out of a game. I thinks its just run its course for me. Still I lasted longer than most. A lot of players were complaining BF3 was getting stale just after armoured kill. Roll on BF4.

Rules say no spawn camping, and yet they are all in the spawn.. another rule, no grenade launcher.. the entire team is using them, but I pay them back with one and I'm banned from the server..

I've never seen a 100 playing respectably. Well, rarely. Whenever I see them they're spawnkilling, using jets against infantry, camping or otherwise being 'hats.

Is using jets against infantry frowned upon? :guilty:
 
Yeah I've never seen using jets against infantry as a bad thing. Road kills are worthy of respect.

I'd really like to see DICE balance the classes for Battlefield 4. They have this habit of giving the med kit and defibrillators to the class with the strongest weapons. It hasn't worked. I think it would be best to go back to the old method of simply having a dedicated medic class.

Yes, but if an assault dude runs into any sort of armor, he's screwed.

And if the map doesn't have vehicles...? Either way, vehicles are lumbering enough that they're easy to avoid given a reasonable warning.

Perhaps not on console, but flying jets with a mouse is super accurate and super easy, so you get people flying jets and picking off infantry with the cannon. It takes no skill at all because your average infantry has no defence against a jet and even if they are carrying a MANPADS the range and lock on time mean the jet will still kill them first, really the only thing you can do to kill a good jet is use another jet. LAV-ADs are easy targets, as are helicopters of all kinds, leaving you with few options... All you have to do to kill infantry when you're flying a jet on the PC is fly as high as possible (this isn't even necessary), point at an area you'd expect to find enemies, press Q to spot them, line your sights up with the triangle then hold mouse 1 for a couple of seconds. Congratulations, you've just managed to kill a defenceless ant with a 400km/h sniper cannon. I don't know if all PC players hate it but both platoons I've been in have had a lot of contempt for that style of play. Once or twice in a game? Fine, but getting all of your kills that way is cheap. In my opinion.

Its quite sad, all this hatred towards lvl 100's. People of any level participate in spawn trapping, Using grenade launchers (even though there crap), suiciding in jets. It jet seems like some of you are in some way intimedated by them. Or at some point they give you a hammering and you didn't like it. Just get over it, players of any level seek advantages and maybe bend the line of sportsmanship, But that's the way competitive online gaming works.

Bend the line? They snapped it like a twig! I'm down for competitive gaming, but when you're sitting at my base with a chopper cutting me down the instant I spawn, that's not right.

I don't have qualms with 100s, except when they use cheap tactics to keep a k/d high.

For goodness sake, Spawn raping/trapping is I fixed part of FPS gaming. It occurs in most if not all fps's. you make out lvl 100 BF players are the only ones who practice it. When we all know that isn't true. I'm not saying there isn't the elitist no life's who play the game to seriously and spoil games, We all know there are. You are just over reacting saying every lvl 100 is like that, when they're not.

The spawns at Seine Crossing are ridiculously messed up!

Got knifed right after spawning in on A, B, AND C! All in a row!
I've let people go before when it happens the other way around just because I can't stand it so much when it happens to me.

I think we all know that when someone makes a sweeping generalisation like 'all 100 star colonels...' they mean 'it seems like all 100 star colonels...'. I'm getting the feeling you're one of these 100 star colonels, don't take it so literally. I swear, all you videogamers just take things way too seriously!

That's definitely it, you look at their rank and think "YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER!", but in fact the only reason that type of 100 got to where they were was by doing exactly that kind of thing for many, many hours. It must be so dull. You do meet the ones that completely undress you with a terrible weapon, and I always get a kick out of seeing just how good it's possible to be shortly before swearing a terrible vengeance on them, but the truth is...

Well, the truth is your level says nothing about how good, fair or sportsmanlike you are, just how much time you want to put into BF3.

Actually I don't think I said all 100s do that. I either said some or most. But what I will say is that when it does happen, they're the main ones I see doing it.
