Yea you only need 10 kills for an attachment it's not hard to get a Red Dot even on a crappy gun.

Well that's not true for assault rifles now is it? it's 10 for an acog which is usually of the useless arrow type design that's inaccurate at long range. It's taken me what feels like forever to unlock the red dot sight for the AK-74 that you start with as the russians.

Having said that I did in the end manage to find a good server and team that worked well together, the result was a much better experience that was much more enjoyable.

I was also able to unlock the M416 which I think is much better than the M16 however it is still difficult to level up a gun to begin with.

Acogs aren't useless. You just need to know how to use them.

I do hope you know that Gravity and recoil is part of this game right?

I'm well aware of that having played BF:BC, BF:BC2, BF1943 as well as other games where bullet drop and recoil is present.

I also use my guns mostly on semi-auto to be more accurate so I expect an assault rifle with a 4X scope to be accurate at ranges of around <40 meters.

Is there a gamemode where there can only be so many of a certain kind of player etc? each team can only have 1 or 2 snipers and 1 or 2 RPG'ers? Set unit play would be fun.
Are the maps bigger than Black Ops'? (stupid question yes? lol)

No game mode like that on consoles. The I can't speak for pc servers though but I haven't heard of any server settings like that.

And of course they are bigger haha. I think you could literally put about 100 or more Nuketowns in almost anyone of the maps.

Yeah, then what this guy said...

is probably the case.

Just had my best game so far.

31-19 with 4 plants and 3 destroyed mcoms. I ended up with 7901 points in game plus 5900 in awards for a 14 001 total for the one round of rush on the canals. Good fun with the engineer class.

Yeah, then what this guy said...

is probably the case.

By putting the point of the red/black arrow on the enemy and pulling the trigger like I do?

Yet the rounds don't hit the person even if they are standing totally still?

However when I use the red dot sight at the same range using the same method I never or rarely miss?

So how do you use the ACOG scopes then? As I'd really like to use the benefit they give of the magnification but they seem horribly inaccurate to me.

Anyone on PS3 who needs a partner for co-op or wants to play some NP and doesn't mind someone who is pretty bad at BF3, add me.

Or is the case, period. I snipe with the 4x PSO-1 so that scope glare doesn't give away my position. Works just fine for me except for ridiculously long distances. I can even hit targets in the canals map from the aircraft carrier. You just have to know how to read the reticle and adjust for bullet drop.

If you're just spraying bullets while scoped, you're not going to hit anything. The gun sways side to side too much. The foregrip will give you a more vertical spread when you unlock it though.

In everyones opinion whats easier. Mouse and keyboard or joystick for planes in

I use the mouse and keyboard to run around, and grab controller when I get in the air. So my answer is controller. I really can't see anyone saying keyboard for planes, unless they don't have a controller to use or are just dead set on saying controllers are bad for everything.

I guess it's just a person preference. I like the ACOG on the M16 but the Red Dots I don't like because of how little they zoom. I usually just burst fire at range with the ACOG or switch it to semiautomatic. I don't like the Russian sights though, the Holo and Red Dots are the only decent ones.

I'll try and be on later. I must have sent a request to a different waffle lover.

Acog is pretty good I think. I'm not so sure on the PSOx4 but either isn't rubbish. I've been using the PSOx4 on my KH2002.

I think I sent a request to you last night before I went off.

How is the KH2002?

Its pretty much a 3 round burst bull pup M16. Damage is average but you can fire it pretty quickly because the delay between bursts is very short. The reload is a bit longer than I'd like but its easy enough to drop people with. The recoil can be an issue at longer ranges but the semi auto is still effective.

Plus it looks like a Famas so its got that going for it. :p

Blackbird.
I've been getting paired with crappy teams all morning!

The 4-5 hours I've played have been spent alongside teammates who either can't play or camp next to vehicle spawns... I hope this behaviour dies off, but from what I know about BF2, it won't.

Can't wait to get on it again, I'm going to map some vehicle controls to my 360 controller and see if I can't get some actual kills with the jets... I have a few disables and one kill, but the mouse controls are no good.

Been playing BF3 on MP for a while now, and I'm impressed. I can't wait to unlock more weapons and attachments. :D 👍

1 thing though; I don't like jets. They feel slow and quite hard to do anything with in my opinion. Might just take getting used to the air vehicle controls though... Scrap that, just figured out how to control the jets fairly well, and just discovered the 3rd person view :D

EDIT: Another note: the bullet drop when sniping is really cool too 👍

I love flying the jets, I can never get an enemy one in my sight long enough to shoot at though. And I suck at flying the heli's.

In other news the 870MCS with a RDS is awesome, got a few 'u gay n00b' messages last night after some great Rush matches. I don't normally bother with the shotguns either. :p

I just finished the Campaign. DICE presented the campaign in a fashion very similar to Black Ops. I would have liked for a bit more vehicle combat, so as to better prepare me for the Multiplayer side of the game. Of the weapons I tried in the Campaign, I really liked the SG553.

Not sure if I am going to jump into the multiplayer now or try some solo Co-op.
