Oh god me too. I ended up getting a steelbook case and specat codes with mine too. Not a bad deal for preordering something I'd have bought day 1 anyway.
 
Can 1 copy of battlefield 3 be installed to two different PS3s, so that one could get a better quality on both the consoles (with the singular game)?

There are, if you didn't pre-order the game you get the regular copy. The DLC costs $14,99 for those that didn't get it.

Now I feel stupid. I never saw an option to choose the regular edition when I bought my copy.
 
You either pre-ordered it or they had extras. Pre-ordering it automatically upgraded you to limited edition. Now that the game has been out for a couple weeks if you went to the store and looked you could probably find the regular edition.

For the same price of course...

Yeah, i was in gamestop the other day and they only had the standard editions. Good thing my mother picked up my pre order for me while I was in Japan :)

On another note. Got about a 2 hour drive back to my home in Tokyo. Then i'm going to be playing Battlefield 3! Well until I decide to get my Fanatec steering wheel set up. Then let the iRacing begin. Been going through iRacing withdraws lol
 
For some reason I don't get the airplanes to reduce speed after takeoff on the PC. The L2 and R2 buttons work for the helicopters, not for the airplanes...

The planes maintain a crusing speed after take off.
 
Just got done with SP now. Still in windowed mode but just some final thoughts.

Story was incredibly messy. It took me a few missions before i understood the story and when i finally did there was not many episodes left.
Missions was off the wall. Extremely fun like the one you sit in the Jet or when you get ambushed in the woods then come up the hill and see russians parachuting down.
But the best was when the Jet blew past :)

love the language they choose, feels very realistic with the swearing etc.
Cut-scenes is not my thing. Pressing a button is extremely boring but i guess some of it was needed and some cut scenes was pretty cool and unexpected like the one in the bathroom.
Envorioments are just balls to the walls. Got pissed when New York was only 2minutes long but overall, amazing immersion.

Final verdict: Cool but spend that energy on Multiplayer with more variety of vehicles and maps.
For SP there is no other game for me then Half Life, it´s just the creme de la creme of Singleplayer games.

P.S. Seems i can choose the option to repair the game instead of re-installing it everytime. D/L at over 100mbit sec.
Edit2: Seems like 8 now, was probably some mini repair or something :S

Halflife was an amazing single player game. But don't forget

Farcry
Crysis

Probably a few more, that slip my mind.

I'm glad they made a single player game, for me I'm all about the storyline and taking a journey through a game, I buy my shooting games for the SP first and multiplayer second. I've not yet enjoyed a multiplayer fps game like I enjoyed Counterstrike back in the day.

I think the reason why you might not have enjoyed it as much could be the death-thing.
In CS when you die you die, in BF you wait a few seconds and it´s on again.

Takes away some of the nerves imo.

Ok this was strange, it seems Orgin and EA know themselves how **** the service is :)
I decided to rename the shortcut to PIECE OF ..... and it just disappeared ;)

Then why can I slow down when I use the keyboard? Like I said, a bug.
I can't land or turn very sharp because of this.
 
Wish we had some better aircraft like the Raptor, the Sukhoi Pak Fa (which is just sick looking)

And the Chinese version what´s it called? J-20 or something?
 
I have a question how many different maps are on there from the start
 
I wonder if we will get monthly free dlc like BC2. Didn't that game launch with only 8 maps and you couldn't play all game modes on each one.
