Oops, double post. Apparently the GTP app doesn't like being closed after sending a post... But yeah, like the PKP, the G3 is basically a sniper rifle with full auto in real life too. As is the AS VAL, the sniper variant being the VSS (which was in BC2 and allowed to stay un-nerfed). I think there's room in the game for a rifle like the G3, personally, the small magazine and huge recoil make it tough to use against carbines and light rifles but it is good at long range too... I've been using it as a closer-ranged DMR than the Mk 11 Mod 0 but it rarely wins in a firefight at any range. This might also be because I hadn't played for two weeks before last night, though!
Edit: long day... I mean the PKP is as devastating in the game as it is in real life, so the G3 should be too. One thing about that, though, is that the AN-91 was designed to have a two round burst so rapid that the second shot would impact in the hole left by the first shot, yet in the game the recoil is too strong so the second shot doesn't necessarily even hit your target at long range. I know why, but if some guns are as powerful as they would be in real life (which I'm fine with), they should all be.
That said, I'm generally opposed to most nerf requests. The tac light might be the only one I agree with, and that's because yesterday I joined a game, spawned on my squad who were capping an enemy point, I was watching our rear and a teammate popped round the corner and blinded me. I assumed he was hostile, opened fire assuming friendly fire was off; it wasn't. Very embarrassing but that will happen if teammate tac lights are as blinding as enemy ones. Still, that's realistic too, but so annoying.
