did I ever tell you guys how much I love this game??

there are parts that piss me off to the point I wanna throw the controller. But epic moments trump ****** ones 100 fold in this game.

My game keeps locking up! It's driving me insane! Is this a common problem on the PS3? I play it on PC mainly and play a bunch with some friends on Xbox and have never had a single problem. Now every other round I can expect my entire system to just freeze and lock up... wth.

It's a great expansion though, I'm loving Sharqi again, don't really care for Wake because of the limited size on the console. Wake's really gonna open up and be proper once we get the 64 player version with all the flags on PC.

Karkand's karkand, I remember her the same, but I really miss being able to head out over the river into the warehouses so I'm waiting to really go for it there on the PC version next week.

So right now It's mostly Oman and Sharqi for me. At the size they're at it's fine and a lot of fun with all the height changes and buildings close together.

Also, does anyone know where a full list of the assignments and their requirements are? I can't seem to find it, well at least anything other than the one that's zoomed into on the previews.
 
So I couldn't find a good list and decided to take parts of other lists and make my own. Tere's a screen grab I took from one of my play throughs at the bottom of this post. It's the portion after a round ends that shows your assignment progress. It shows that it's a two tiered system, you have to get one in order to get the other, so I'll list them in that order.

The assignments are a lot more fun to go for than I previously assumed so I thank DICE, although it is a CoD thing (but really, BF2 was done before CoD MW anyway... but that's a different thread), they take what's fun and incorporate it into the game. It's a winning strategy and really makes hunting down these guns a *blast*. So merry Christmas and happy hunting to ya'll on your Battleventures soldiers.

Well I played hundreds of hours of BF2 so it's good to be home. The lighting differences take a bit of getting used to (as well as the limited map sizes in the console version - can't wait for next week so I can really stretch out my legs and start fighting for the warehouses on Karkand xD), but it's simply awesome. For a person that hasn't played BF2 they should feel great as well because the maps are a lot different than the style that most vanilla BF3 maps have. Sharqi has the most interesting elevation changes on any BF3 map now. Oman is simply brilliant in its execution of scale, going from high up to in the **** in that tight construction yard is awesome. Karkand... is karkand. Wake... Wake's I really can't make a decision on until I get my 64 player sized version... it just doesn't feel right with the U.S having uncappables on the tips of the islands. So that's the only one I'm really avoiding right now.

Anyway, get it if you don't already have it, as you can see by my last post, the assignments are a whole 'nother ball game themselves, sure to be full of fun 👍

P.S:
About the assignments, yes you need to unlock the next assignment before you can start working on it. Getting assault rifle kills, for example, while working on the FAMAS (Best Friend Forever) will do nothing to count toward getting the SA80 (Professional Russian).

I wish we could do 1000 tickets on console. I also wish we had more players on console to though... 1000 tickets in a standard console lobby would take all night.

I find 1000 ticket games a bit much, unless the team you are on is dominating. 500 or 600 is a good number and lasts plenty long if the two teams keep switching flags.
 
Im working really hard with the FAMAS to get the L85A2 since i want it so bad. kinda odd that the FAMAS comes with the 12x scope as default.

I was wondering why it had a 12x as default to. I'm not looking forward to that assignment that you have to destroy a vehicle with a repair tool.
 
I got two 5 man kills. First one because all the guys were sitting on top of a building sniping and the same thing for the second.

Nice! I think the most I got was a four man kill by destroying an LAV25.

I just ask because I've never played a FPS on PC before. I do have a PS3, and I've given purchasing BF3 for my PC some thought, and I'm just curious as to what my situation would be regarding using the PS3 controller.

There is... Play Conquest Assault. You even get more flags than normal Conquest... :) But if you only play Conquest Assault you only get the B2K maps. 👍

Had some good matches yesterday with mr_geez, Fairplay, theewar and Dragonistic. Sorry to people who invited me to squad up, I was already in a squad for the evening :)

One of the last matches we played on Wake Island Rush was amazing... :) I have to commend Dragonistic on his Heli skills... You are an awesome pilot. I took the gunner position in a Viper with him and we seriously owned for the last half of the match. Opened up three upgrades for helis in that match! Didnt have anything unlocked for the helis yet :)👍

Also managed to open up the FAMAS last night, but I havent used it since Im trying to get a couple of service stars on some weapons.

@dzidza, Forgot to send you an invite before I started playing! Sorry 'bout that. Will do asap for future matches! 👍
 
Im starting to like the Assualt class i just like reviving people and getting a few points and also the guns they have is pretty sweet

Good matches indeed, bar an earlier lobby we got split on and ended up half on a far inferior side, half on a side full of top rank pros and got completely destroyed :lol:. They need to fix it somehow so you can stay together and know if you'll get split before you join (filter?).

The rest were all good though, I really got to know my L85 better the grip has helped it tremendously, I'm glad I could be of service for getting you those basic upgrades you really need to even attempt to use one yourself (seriously why even allow a pilot to not have flares from the start?). I was being quite patient with the chopper, usually I find myself struggling to find targets as pilot as the main rockets only really work on vehicles so I often get fed up of doing nothing and kill myself trying to dive for 1 kill :lol: but you live and learn I guess I think I got that and jet flying down well enough now.

Instead of knifing someone, I got it relatively easily. Destroying an enemy vehicle with one though is not easy, you just don't get the opportunity and when you do they just get out and try kill you or drive away! I've been robbed of it already, I disabled it by rocket, ran up, repair tooled it til explosion and it didn't count.

Agreed, after 2 rounds of it I could take no more, I don't enjoy being on either side of rounds like that which are just a walkover unless it's on attack because you still get to do something.

Yup I just walked up to a Lav on Karkand and killed it. Triple kill, vehicle disabled, vehicle destroyed and a suicide Haha.

I think technically my vehicle destroy would have counted as a kill with the repair tool had I not already got that challenge as someone was inside, but it's very frustrating that it didn't count as a vehicle destroy when I clearly finished it off by tool and got a confirmed kill for it.

Problem is when they dive out the vehicle starts repairing, this challenge (destroy vehicle) is pretty much broken in a few ways. I think you may need to get it to the point of burning by tool, then let it burn out, rather than just finish it off by tool after disabled and similarly the enemy must be inside at any point you wish to do damage.

Every day after 20 CET, some of the guys are online almost all the time :)
