3 things....

1. If you lot are desperate to kill with a repair tool, then join a game I'm in, tell me, and I'll stand still for you, or park the tank next to you and wait.

2. How do you access Hardcore mode? I do not see an option anywhere, do I have to unlock it?

3. If I downloaded and installed the Karkand package, don't I get unlocked guns or something as bonus content? Where are they and how do I select them please?

4. Glad to see you in here DustDriver, you are the only Belgian I thought of when I heard what happened yesterday. The fact that I don't know any more Belgians, shouldn't come into it.....

1. I've done it but thanks for the offer.

2. There is no quick match option for hardcore you have to use the server browser and then use the filters to pick hardcore only.

3. From the main screen click my soldier. Then click assignments. Those are the new guns and you have to complete the assignments to unlock each gun.

4. That's 4 things not 3 :p

1. I still need to add you to PSN, although timezones don't overlap nicely.

2. I know you can search the servers for Hardcore, I'm not sure if there is a filter in the "Quickmatch" screen though.

3. You don't get to use the weapons immediately. Each weapon is associated with an 'Assignment'. e.g. to unlock the first Engi weapon you have to complete 10 vehicle repairs and 1 kill with torch (hence we are on about that on the last few pages). You have to unlock each DLC weapon with a standalone assignment.

4. I just noticed DustDriver turned off the siren in his 'tar. :(
 
@Vexd: You mean the shooting in Luik/Liège? Crazy stuff. But don't know anyone involved, so not really 'connected' to it. So even though it happened less then 70km away, it doesn't affect me more than if it was somewhere in the south of France.

Too bad that I can't join you online, as I have the PC version of the game.

@Mike Rotch:I changed that right after I resigned as moderator.

So strike is tons of fun and reminds me so much of BF2. I just need to kill a guy with the torch. Was 14% away on one!
 
I almost had a vehicle with the torch, but I got over-excited and switched to the launcher. I think I'm done with this challenge.
 
Easiest way to get this: conquest. Enemy tank capturing your flag. Sneak under the tank and dismantle it from there. You should have enough time before anyone finds you. Be warned, you will die.

Does this challenge need to be done with the repair tool, or does the robot one count to? I have it done, and honestly repair kill vehicles quite often with both the torch and EOD.

Hey gundalini - I saw you joined in...just as we got mopped up :lol:. The round before we won the round with 3 tickets left. It's not a map I know too well.

Ha ha tell me about it. First rush game for me there. I had no idea where I was supposed to be so I just followed you around for a bit.
I was doing ok k/d about 9/3 I think then lost connection to the server. :grumpy:

I managed to get the Repair Tool Kill and it was not fun at all. I decided to try to get the kill on Operation Metro. The team I was on was a good one and pushed the other team (Russian) back to their spawn. I sat in one of the buildings. An opponent came in, managed to kill a few of my teammates, and I chased him until I killed him with the Repair Tool. I suffered quite a few deaths trying to sneak and get the kill. I also probably could have prevented a few teammate deaths had it not been for trying to finish the Assignment. Bad job on that Assignment DICE. 👎
 
If you blow up a vehicle while an enemy is in it on counts as both destroying the vehicle and killing the enemy with the repair tool... I've already done this and don't see what the issue you guys are having is.
 
Well you can only complete Assignment 2 after you've completed Assigment 1 (repair torch kill). That fact you got the vehicle too in the pursuit of A1 is just a bonus.

Opinions on the Famas? I unlocked it last time I was playing but haven't been able to get back on and use it.

Extremely good :-). I am using it, but i switched to other guns for unlocking their items.

@Blitz great game yesterday, but i had to leave suddenly cause my kid is ill and he needed my attention.
But as soon as you see me online in BF3 send me invite to join your game :-)

As parent I understand mate. There's alot more important things going on that means I also just quit/turn of the PS3 at times. I know the guys I play with understand this but what do some of you guys think about this when playing with a random player when he just quits?

dzidza. If you don't mind I'll add you as soon as I get the chance. Is it Dzidza1978?

Yeap, just add me, or I will add you tonight. I personally don't care if a random guy quits, it's his choice, and it doesn't change battlefield that much. Playing with mates has far better effect on gameplay and objective score :-). Playing last night with Blitz was great, only if he would use headset, so that we can set a strategy :-) e.g. few days ago while playing with fiends on Metro, i told them to go strait to B to leave A, and we managed to capture B before enemy show up.

Playing with mates has far better effect on gameplay and objective score :-). Playing last night with Blitz was great, only if he would use headset, so that we can set a strategy :-)

Hey Dzidza! Nice matches last night. :) Now worries about leaving mate, totally understandable. Let me explain a couple of things from last night though... On Wake Island Rush I was with theewar in a squad and you joined us at a certain point. During the course of the match that we just managed to win in the end :D, theewar got disconnected. My plan was to exit out of the match and squad up again with you and theewar together. When I left the match, theewar was back in the same match again.. :p So I joined him thinking we'd all be together again, but I ended up on the other team with him. I sent you a message to let you know at that point.

Also in regards to the mic, I have one, but I cannot use it :( I use headphones so I don't bother my GF with gunfire and explosions. So its not possible for me to use both at the same time... Planning on getting the new PS3 headphones with the built in mic though so I can communicate... :)

I noticed you message and i replied, it's not a problem if we are at opposing sides. Did you create squad before entering BF3 multiplayer?
 
Hey guys I should be getting a headphone equipped with a mic today should be great using for the first time on BF3 and GT5

Yup with theewar... I believe you joined us while we were on Wake Island Rush.
 
^ I don't think he'll mind, just mention GTplanet and BF3 in the invite :) I usually play in a squad with theewar, mr_geez and GTP_Fairplay_plz. They are all registered here at GTPlanet too.
