The engineer class is vital in this game it can take out choppers and jets so cool that is does anyone know if you can shoot down jets while shooting from the ground?

^ If you use the Stinger or Igla you can take out any air targets :) But they'll make it difficult for you by using flares if they have them...

Could be. Has 4 star review so it's probably fine. I use Steelseries Siberias since i'm a PC and iRacing nutt :D

Would you say they would be good for racing games and FPS games

Opinions on the Famas? I unlocked it last time I was playing but haven't been able to get back on and use it.

Amazing weapon. The only weakness is the long reload - longest in the game at 4.5secs. Amazing stopping power though. I am sure DICE will nerf it soon.

So apparently doing awesome in a tank makes Admins mad. I was at strike and our team had most of the map controlled only areas the enemy had was across the bridge where the Warehouse is. I was already doing great in it got blown up a few times. So I gave my team support from the perch near B overlooking Trainyard and beyond. I was around 25-4 than all of the sudden I get disconnected. Said you were kicked by an admin stated reason: <blank>. I joined back in and asked why, no response. People here may say it's lame but a tank is a legitimate weapon in the game. So what if I do exceptionally well in it?

Yea, that is pretty frustrating Blackbird. I'd have less sympathy if you said 'Jet' as they are much harder to bring down given all the gadgets at a pilot's disposal, but a tank is pretty vulnerable to Engineers who have a plan.

Only had chance to play a bit of Wake the other day before it wouldn't let me sign in to Origin for the rest of the day  and I'm seriously disappointed. The map's changed way too much for it to resemble anything like Wake from BF2. Of course they had to change it to modernise it, but basically it's a new map on the Wake island. I'm now hoping Karkand hasn't changed that much. :yuck:

Anyone out there who wants to play Squad rush with me?

I'm on my PS3 right now. I'll get on Battlefield when you get online.

*edit*

Had a good 4 rounds of squad rush. Won 3 of the 4.

One game lasted only 4 minutes and 15 seconds. I planted and destroyed both bombs! And managed to go 7-0 KD. Pretty easy actually, they weren't smart enough to think that I would flank. Killed everyone that was alive then easily planted and guarded lol

Engineer Class rocks yeah 👍👍

Are you on PS3? And what weapon were you using there?

Bonus!

Quick, separate question too - does the HK53 go by different names? On my balltelog, the first Engi assignment unlocks the G53

Ahh. 👍 I was wondering why it said 'enemy down' not 'enemy killed', which beta would explain.

DICE made a mistake. The G53 should be HK53. Heckler and Koch has never made a weapon named G53. For reference purposes, the HK53 is a derivative of the HK33, which is based off of the G3 design.

I'll join you next time on Conquest, as I have no idea what do to there!

You capture flags.

If there are three flags in a level (some maps have 5!) and your team is owning two of them, then you are dominating and the opposition starts to "bleed" respawn tickets, regardless of whether you are killing them or not.
Depending on the map, the respawn tickets can be in equal numbers at the start of a round, or the opposition can have more, or less than you.
This is determined by the original spawn points of the round, and whichever team has the advantage.
Once a team runs out of respawns, the round ends.
Usually, you will both start nearer to a flag base, which of course you capture, then both sides rush to take the third spot, or they start flanking around to take the first site you took.

The organised guys travel fast from flag site to flag site in armour or jeeps/buggies, park at the flag site, pwn anyone in the area, convert the flag, then move to the next.
The battles move from spot to spot, depending on wherever is vulnerable, and all of this relies on people actually playing the objective in the first place.
I went in one round where everyone had "Highway to the dangerzone" playing out of their bedroom speakers; they literally all jumped into jets and started being Maverick up in the air above me.
I went round in a hummer, and took all the flags before someone parachuted down and started to take one back.
I had a lot of fun zipping about and reclaiming them for points.
Another time I had an entire organised team move from flag sites A through to E using tanx, choppers and awesome leet uber pwning skillz yo, to kill us all.
The round was over in a few minutes, and no-one on my team had an answer for them..... teamwork......

Sometimes you will start and your team owns all the flags by default. In this case; the opposition will have more respawn tickets than your side, and you can watch them move in on an objective and take them out before they capture the flag, if you're good enough.

You can take a flag by yourself, if there is not another enemy nearby to cancel you out, but it takes somewhere between 1 and 1.5 minutes to capture one, so if a tank pulls up with a gunner in it alongside the driver, they will start to capture it back, as there are two of them.
Of course, if an APC from your team turns up, and 8 guys jump out, then you will capture the flag a whole lot quicker...... unless the 8 guys jump out and they all have the general playing ability of a VEXD.......

In which case, you're all 🤬.

:irked:👍

Thanks. Sounds like its easier to get points in CQ then Rush. One can drive around in a jeep to different flags and clock em up. Try that in Rush and all you'll do is drive to the Mcomm and get sorted by people protecting the station.

Yeah it seems to be for me anyway Mike. As Vexd said play the objective go from flag to flag and the points soon add up.

Cheers Shaun.

Ok so I watch this, just released, video and it's beautiful, gorgeous, supremely well done, etc.

But most of all it makes me think something a lot more shallow than I previously had, before watching this video, and that is; why in the hell would someone choose NOT to play Battlefield?

I JUST DON'T GET IT. If you have someone that's as stubborn as this, show them this video, it's just incredible. They can't miss out on this:

And this, for kicks:

For those frustrated with trying to destroy a vehicle with the repair torch, the assignment can be achieved by using the torch on the circular base of enemy mortar setups 👍
3 BTR90 kills to finish all assignments :)

That slow-mo video is brilliant. Very few games could pull it off
