You'll find jets on Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border, Wake Island, And Gulf of Oman.

So, I borrowed this from my cousin. I can only give my impressions of the campaign since I can't go online.

Right off the start I felt that the controls are clunky beyond belief. Nothing feels fluid. The aiming is the worst part, it's insanely sensitive. It seems delayed as well. Move the stick and it takes a fraction of a second to move the sights. The guns themselves are pretty nice though, and they sound great. It also looks really pretty. All that is kinda moot since I find the story uninteresting and dull. I'll finish it, but I certainly won't be picking it up for myself if the finicky controls are present in MP. I gave it a shot and I applaud them for their effort, but I've got to stick to MW3.

Not really, Icarus is saying that it's really sensitive (i.e. move it a bit and you move a lot) but it's delayed (move it a bit, it moves a lot but after a fraction of a second.

Also.. OMG Sniping is so hard! I need some tips on how to snipe long range. Then again, the SKS has crap damage. When do I unlock a sniper that's pretty powerful (i.e. 1/2 hit kill?)

At distance you need to aim above the enemy due to bullet drop. It usually takes a headshot to kill someone.

If you didnt know, you can take a deep breath with L3 it keeps the rifle more steady.

People managed to get the tower in Caspian Border to fall today.. scared the heck out of me, hehe.

Also, I almost have my sensitivity to the max. :sly:

Here's my stats. Comments welcome.

^ irrelevant if you have a bipod, I also found out, once you get an L96 it's either exact crosshairs for med range, or the first one down for long, the bullet seems to fly in level planes before droping to the next (aim wise, not graphically) like a uh "whatever-ya-call-it" graph (can't think of the name, sad thing is we went over all 12 main graph types about 3 weeks ago in math)

I knew about holding breath as well, I've sniped too much in COD
And the tower falls regardless if any team reached 10 tickets left. Well, I heard that somewhere anyway...

I have not been into this game for too long, but I am converted from MW3.

Daniel is right, the tower collapses at a certain point level, depending on game type.

The aiming and sensitivity are completely different, and I would describe it as more organic.

The feeling in CoD is more 'on rails' if you like, where the gun is held by your character a lot more firmly when swung left to right, and there is some sway in BF that just takes all your confidence when you first start to play.

Don't worry, it will come back, as you adjust to the play style.

You change guns all the time, depending on the game mode, and which side you start on.
The Russian side uses different weapons to the US side, which means you have two sets of weapon trees to unlock, if you like.

Jets are available wherever it makes sense to have them.
If the map is too small (ie: still massive) then you will be restricted to mobile armour, or your feet for getting around. Only when it can be a significant game changer, do you find jets sitting about on runways, just waiting for you to die in them. :sly:

The thing I would say is that initially, there is a lot to take in, there is a lot more to understand, and there is a LOT MORE going on than in a game of CoD, but once you don't let it all overwhelm you, and you get it, you will find it makes the game that much more alluring.

Try selecting Rush and then the map Damavand Peak. If you start on the Attacking side, and your team manages to destroy the first two bases, you will have to base jump down to the third, and that is a standout moment for a MP game, as far as I'm concerned......

MOST important thing to do is add friends, and play with other people.
BF is lonely, hard and frustrating if you are on your own all the time. The game really starts to shine when there are others giving you ammo when you run out and more importantly, bringing you back to life just after you threw your pad across the room for the umpteenth time, thus giving you the chance to grab that pad, re-sight that git who shot you, and take sweet vengeance.......

:irked:👍

i need some one to help me out with the recon class if you have the Claymore and the support class please i should be on later tonight 👍👍 Do some team work on squad rush mode...

I can't really help much with you since I have the game on Xbox. My friends consider me a good sniper though, I've got two service starts on the SV98, and chasing down my second with the L96.

Only use one type of scope. Get used to it. It will really help gauge bullet drop. Remember to choose your scope based on your sniping style. If you like close to medium range sniping, go for the 4x scope. Medium to long, go for 8x. Everywhere in between go for the 12x. Also, until you get the M29, stick with Bolt Action rifles. It might be a little tedious un-scoping and re-scoping (Unless you get a Straight Bolt) but it's worth it with how powerful and accurate they are. Don't get nervous if someone finds your spot. It's best to have a good secondary weapon like an M9 or G18. These are very good secondary weapons to help keep you safe when someone comes close. Also use a Bipod and rocks. This will make sure you get nice accurate shots, while the rock warns you when people are shooting at you. (The rocks a much bigger target, chances are the enemy will hit that first rather than you. Once someone starts hitting the rock, find out where they are. Unless they are a sniper, then hide.) Overall be calm. Don't worry if you miss a shot. When you get better, you will be getting accuracy ribbons and all sorts of things. One time on Operation Firestorm I got 14 awards. 37 kills just with an L96 alone.

Anyone out there on PS3 who wants a game tonight on PS3 squad rush?

@Crispy yeh I'm not too bad my longest shot is 270ft with sniper rifle

I could give it a shot a little later.

Yeah mate I need you too spawn everywhere I put spawn beacon most of the players or in the last match I've played just don't really spawn on the beacon it's why we lost so many games

This is not entirely true. At some point I believe you can use any weapon on any side. You do have to unlock it again but the last time I played I saw a weapon tagged as "Russian acquired M4."

Is this different from the PC version? I think you unlock the "stock" weapons for each class after you get a service star for that class.

So I got BF3 for Christmas. I gotta say, I really like it, even though I suck just as much. I played Black Ops before this, so I understand there's a learning curve involved, but are there any general tips I can get to keep me alive, especially in multiplayer?
