Conquest maps like Caspian, Kharg, Operation Firestorm, gulf of Oman, and Wake Island have 2 jets for each side.

The rush have 1 attacker jet(a-10, su-25), wake island has none for rush (per side)

Conquest contains 2 fighter jets (F/A-18, F-35B, SU-35) (per side)

To get points, spot like crazy, just spam the spot key at the ground, dive gun jeeps, tanks, anything but AA's , brush up on your fighter pilot tactics, you'd be amazed, and if you see someone flying straight and level get on their six and gun em down

At the moment I'm just flying low over the enemy base/objective and firing the machine gun like nuts.

10 points for spots, they add up

Fly up with afterburner to 800 ft, level off, at about 900-1000 ft (it's not the end of the world if you stall) and dive with the airbrake (L2) at an objective spamming the spot button then when objects are big enough to see fire at them, and keep spotting, you can get tanks, people, jeeps, anything if you are steady, just remember to pull out ........ Before you crash

I've got something like 3 service stars for the UMP45 and most kills with this weapon is that good?

I LOVE this game. Even though I've only played on 3 maps, I can tell they're all awesome. I really like the size of the maps: HUGE. In COD the maps are smaller, which means you get into a lot of close-range firefights, and you run around a lot, so you don't really get any time to think, but in BF3 there's lots of open space and multi-level floors, so you can get away from the middle of the battle and plan your actions before you take action.

If you want some close quarters action then play Operation Metro rush. The tunnels are full of firefights there.

Got this for christmas!!!

Yes this game is epic!!! Had a blast with a few friends last night in mp. Gets even better once you start unlocking better weapons. Now I have 2 different types of anti vehicle weapons. One rocket launcher for air vehicles and another for taking out vehicles. I am usually the engineer or the medic. Medic for smaller maps and engineer for vehicle maps.

For those talking about jets when there is a plane in your tail brake hard and turn left or right to try to get on his tail. This has worked great for me especially last night where I got 4 kills in an F18 before goon down. I think one was a jeep and the rest were plane kills.

Is there some key to being in games that are somewhat balanced? 90% of all the games I've been in during the last 24hrs one team is completely dominant.

Hey I haven't played BF in a while. Anyone want to play on PS3? MAYBE some people who got it for Christmas?
Go ahead and add me, I suck at it though.

Please tell me there's some way to mute people on here.
I was wondering the same thing.

EDIT: Just Googled it, when you're at the Deploy Screen (where you choose your weapon class) hit Triangle, then go down to VOIP and set it to OFF.

Just got BF3 for christmas. Pretty good at it but my Death Ratio is higher than my Kill Ratio but only by a bit.

Nope, which is a pain. It's also likely to put you in a side that is short of numbers - short of numbers because people rage quit or whatever, so the odds of getting onto a winning team first up are slim to none.

It usually starts to even out the second match onwards, but yea, it's far from perfect.

Thanks. Also, I just unlocked Flechette Ammo for my 870C. What are the pros/cons of Flechette?

Less powerful but more penetration. Well, that's what it says on the description at least :p

Eric.

It's an issue right now because of the new Christmas people. When 4 guys all squad up new then that's a third of a team that hasn't got a clue what to do. Especially worse when a team has a squad or two of dominant high level guys against them.

Shot down my first chopper with a tank today. I'm up over 300 kills in tanks now but my first chopper kill, 4 guys inside too.

Use buck shot, (not sure bout slugs, I don't have em), some people use frag on close quarters areas with semi or full auto shotguns but, a lot of people tend to frown upon that

Yeah, just unlocked heat seekers for attack helicopters!

Also, what class do you guys play as? Currently I go support with an M249.

Rule # 1 : Play the objective
Rule # 2 : Play the role of your class
Rule # 3 : Utilize your squad and communicate
Rule # 4 : Utilize everything around you
Rule # 5 : Do all of this, you will scream in enjoyment

Rockets make the engineer class very versatile, basically do what your team isn't and fill that void

Anything that benefits the team, when you get the PKP, use it, it's hard at first. But amazing once you're used to it, then try the 240B, anyway, if you need quick sniper points or need to do the assignments use the M39 with holo sight to unlock L96

Flechette ammo does less damage but it has more range and more penetration.

By the way good games today Daniel, looking forward to eventually getting a full GTP squad together sometime. 👍

You two, Waffles.
I'm starting to get a bit better with mi-long range sniping. Got 13-9 in a Kharg Island :D

Anyway to get BF3 open beta save for this real version? What kind of game type is Co-Op? Never tried it.

First night on BF3. Enjoyable, when it's all going right, it's good fun. Though it's horrifically cluttered, the party system works about as well as Kim-Jong Il's heart (nice that they sorted that from BC2) and the weapons/attachments unlocking process doesn't work. Yes, people should get benefits from ranking up, but the difference is insane. Still, unlocked a couple of other guns and it has been fun, but frustrating as hell in equal measures.

Not massively different from BC2.

Nope, the beta expires ages ago and Co-Op is a campaign mode made for two people 👍
