Dzidza! You going to be online tonight...? I feel the urge to shoot some people before the definite patch comes out so I can compare when it does hit the consoles... :)

2 words, start, quit. BF3 can have alot of lobbies like that, I do not hesitate for a second if the enemy team is just trying to spawn kill to just quit and find a new lobby and similarly if my team is spawn killing I often sit back and never advance past the flag marker or sometimes even troll my own team by deliberately letting enemies through or flash lighting them in the face. I always play to win, but I also want to have fun and spawn killing is just shooting fish in a barrel, shooting aircraft in their spawn with a jet on maps like Op Firestorm I feel is fair, not with an attack helicopter though, they have an AA gun to counteract it if they please and they can just get in to tanks and ignore it if they're not stubborn (but I also shoot the static empty aircraft and don't wait for people to spawn in them for free points).

Joined up with a random and had some of the best fun with C4! He told me to put C4 on the Viper and he went up with someone else while I stayed in the ground. I got a double kill from him flying near a tank and me blowing it up. Next game we went in a jeep and he drove up behind numerous tanks, I bailed and triggered the C4.
Many lulz ensued :lol:

Probably the best game where I didn't PTFO :p

It survives, friendly C4 that isn't your own won't cause a team kill unless it's detonated by an enemy through grenade or whatever. Works well for jihad jeeps if you have the passenger or anything that isn't the driver dive out early or never get in at all plant the C4, the driver can guide the jeep right to the target and via headset ask for detonation or if it's a passenger diving out they can see for themselves. The jeep survives and you can rig it up again and repeat until it's destroyed through the usual manner.

Note: If the passenger is still in the seat and detonates, the vehicle will be destroyed and you get a team kill. Essentially you can only destroy the vehicle through suicide using your own explosives, you can only kill yourself and enemies with C4 period not team mates so by extension you can't kill a team mates vehicle.

It's still a pointless (but hilarious) tactic on an Attack Heli, but a great use of jeeps and hummers. A transport chopper on the other hand might be worth a go as they're relatively useless in some games.

Most frustrating night since I played the first round back in whenever I got it.

Got booted 4 times in a row, which wouldnt have been so bad if 3 of the times I lost a star on the PKP (same star) and the 4th time I lost a star on the A-91. When I say lost, my weapons now show I ticked over the x hundred and an extra star is against the weapon, but I didnt get the award and it doesnt show on my battlefeed. :irked:

Never mind the 25 or so kills I didnt get credit for and the bagful of ribbons I missed out on. 🤬 Dice.

Pity, before that, gundalini and I had a strong round at Caspian in tanks.

Edit: Now the A-91 does shot but not the PKP (on battlefeed).

So Im making a GTPlanet leaderboard on BF3 stats. If you want to be on it make sure youre in the GTP platoon on Battlelog, as thats where Ill be getting the names from.

I daren't even try to get EA-connected-to-website-to-PSN-to-my email-to-game anything to work.

I manage to play the game at the moment, and that will do for me.

^ No worries VEXD... BF3stats is separate from Battlelog... You can just look up your name and all your stats will show up ;)

It keeps saying that when i try log-in using my Origin account. Tried with diffrent password but then it said Wrong password, so i use right password. Please HELP!
 
What do you think is more effective in the gunner seat of an attack heli.
TV missile or guided missile?

I’ve used both and I think the TV missile is better as its able to 1 shot tanks and destroy the stationary AA, but its dam hard to control. The guided missile I have more kills with but it hardly damages a tank at 100% health.

What would you guys recommend/use?
 
we say the L85 is britsh but the L85A2 is actually made by Hechler & Koch of germany. it was originally the british (Enfeild) that manufactured the gun but soon after it was put into service it was deemed highly unsatisfactory. so they got H&K to retrofit the origanals and manufacture the new rifles. every L85 has HK stamped on the receiver.

Anyway the real life Khaybar2002 (KH2002) is capable of fully auto fire wich is a shame, as it being one of my favourite weapons, i cant imagine how much better it could have been.

"Initially, DICE hinted at releasing both an official date and patch notes today, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it looks like these announcements will be delayed. Community Manager Daniel “zh1nt0″ Matros commented, “had to pull back the post because of complications as usual.” Additionally, Lead Designer Gustav Halling stated, “there are a few questions we have to get answered to before announcing the patch notes. Me and zh1nt0 will let u know when we can.”

I knew this tid bit of information, but it's of British design and in use by our forces so that's as good as it gets really nice for bit of information for those who don't know 👍. It'll be nice to see how the LSW performs in the DLC in June as well, if I buy it.

Had another good session today, ending in some really poor games for me especially the last one. Comfortable win on Op Firestorm but not comfortable for me. I tried the attack heli and got owned by a jet after 1 vehicle disable, I tried to spawn in a jet and it was on 4% health so I ditched and then went for the AA gun and it got taken as I arrived it. So as Recon I put my SOFLAM on the hill, nobody used it and eventually got to A, where I shot a guy in the back with the pistol to 10% and he turned and RPG one shotted me (didn't even try his carbine), then spawned on the crane and put SOFLAM down (nobody used it again!), sniped one guy, got murdured by an attack heli after jumping off, then topped it off with a jeep driving by me and the guy jumped out and immediately turned and sprayed me in the face (must have been spotted). Sometimes it even goes wrong for the best of us :lol:. 2 kills 4 deaths in an entire round, my worst game in a long time.

Hope to come on later and have much more luck 👍. All the other games weren't great scores due to really tough opposition, but they were really good fun and I'm not in it for the stats or to do well despite what I have achieved so that's the kind of game I love. If you see me later I'll be SOFLAMing on alot of maps, make use of it or I might give up ever trying as I've tried all day today with not a single person using it!

Edit: I've also decided to go ahead with writing a guide (next week), if I can help 2-3 people with each class I call that a success and with a service star for each I feel qualified for the job. I'll be looking for consultation on IFVs, AA tanks and maybe helicopters (though I think I know what's useful for the choppers, I just never get a good opportunity to finish unlocking the stuff thanks to experienced jet pilots and CITV). I'll post here when I want to do those sections.

Depends, if my girlfriends in the room I don't want to be anti-social but if I'm Recon and it's any relatively open map with vehicles expect the SOFLAM. Pretty much anything except Metro, Seine, Damavand and Grand Bazaar.

I hate my accuracy being below 10%. It was at 18 before I discovered the as guns :) it quickly fell below 9 after that.
I can't seem to do much damage with those things. I can't get the lead quit right, especially in zoom mode.

Earlier we were on the subject of quits.
I can count on one hand the number of quits I have due to balancing issues/ USuckAtShooting rage quits. I always try to finish a round. But I'm near 10 % for quits....... why? You can't switch servers or quit to main menu between rounds. Seriously cannot understand why the pre fame lobbies are locked out if all options, including kit adjustments.
Its annoying to have to use the PS button to quit the game entirely between rounds if you want a new server.

Is it bad that both the RPG and smaw are both in my top 5 weapons? :)

Also any other engineers like to equip stingers or javelins as a passenger in the scout choppers? Can be quite useful. Also if I end up passenger and am support or medic I will dropammo and health over firefights. Funny when the get stuck on the guns and spin like mad.( I almost never use it due to lack of soflammers /annoyingly long lock on time compared to damage versus popping a couple rpg rounds in thespamechanic time frame.)

Good trick in ground vehicles getting jav locked. Wait till solid tone, jump out and back in. If you are the only one it itthe lock will break.

Yesterday me and Warren (theewar) were playing on official dice epic conquest playlist which is usually populated by all kinds of lovers of flying vehicles. It ended with enemies rage quitting because of our Tank (reactive armor+thermal optics+guided missile and theewar on 2nd/3rd seat switching constantly).

My hat off to you Warren, you're the best laser designator/gunner I've met in this game! Great job! 👍 :)

Nice gtp leaderboards out there. ;)

Yes only the UK, Jamaica and bolivia are the only countries who officially use the rifle wich is surprusing really as it is highly regarded now as a top AR.

Im eager to see how the LSW performs aswell. As the DLC is a definite purchase for me. Intresting thing about the LSW is that its prefered as a long range marksman rifle in real life than its original purpose of a light machine gun. They found its rate of fire, non quick change barrel, mag fed mechinism and basic lightness of it didnt really surpress the enemy enough or get alot of rounds downrange like a proper LMG should. They did find it was extremely more accurate at long range than the L85 rifle, due to its heavier barrel and more bulk than the infantry rifle. So a lot of the infantry divisions in the british army use at as a longrange marksman weapon as its accuracy even surpasses 600-700m, i suppose its regarded as a kind of medium-sniper:)The british forces still rather use the FN Minimi (SAW) designated L110A1 in the traditional LMG role.

doesnt really bode well for the LSW's BF3 career then :)
